The hotel is located on the South coast of Crete. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and quality service.

Built: 1998

Renovated: 2012

Location: 800 m from the town of Ierapetra, 98 km from Heraklion airport.

The hotel has 70 rooms.

Consists of a multistory building.

Total area: 6 500 m2.

Beach: own sand-and-shingle beach in 50 m from hotel (1st coastal line). Parasols and sun loungers free of charge. Beach towels - for a fee. Between the hotel and the beach road the length of the beach 200 m.

Accepted credit cards: Visa, Mastercard.

Pets are not allowed.

Meals: Breakfast from 7:00 - 10:00, lunch 12:30 - 14:00 and dinner from 19:00 - 21:00. Buffet.

System "All inclusive" operates from 10:00 - 22:00 includes drinks: local alcohol, tea, filtered coffee, water (not bottled). Local alcohol - draft wine, draft beer.

We were very happy with our stay and can fully recommend Tylissos! The staff was extremely friendly, professional, warm and welcoming at the same time. We enjoyed our stay in particular because the hotel is medium sized and very relaxing. In addition, the beach right in front of the door was beautiful and refreshing. Food and drinks were also varied and always tasty. Can definitely recommend for anyone!

🛑Synthesis: High Price, low quality Service and facilities like 2 stars 😢. Near beach and seaside.
Tylissos hotel is located 2 km from Ierapetra city center, near other hotels Petra mare and Santanna enorme. If you want to walk in city center at night , you need a 🚗 car

GOOD POINTS
Nearby there is a nice beach 🏖️ ( 2 minutes walk)
Breakfast ( food and staff are good )
Mister Nino at beach bar ( he is leaving at the end of summer )

BAD POINTS 👇🔻
I normally write only good reviews but you need to know this
Rooms⚠️ : old, small ( the standard room is about 10 square meters, the superior 18), some rooms ( we tried 3) have bad smell and structural pipe toilet problems.
The building is probably built in the 70 ies, it needs a structural refresh.

Dangerous Position ⚠️ : next to the hotel there is a trafficked road which is basically an high way of south Crete. Be Carefully cars drive at 80 km hours
WiFi : does not work . bring your own !

Management 👎 : Mister George is the director : if you have a problem he will send you his reception staff and the only thing they do is saying “WE cannot do anything”

Approach “Pay Only”👎: they only care about selling and getting paid. Client satisfaction ? Who cares !
as you step in they ask you to pay ALL the services in advance.
We also paid an upgrade to Superior Room ( about 400 € extra ) but the Room they gave us had a big problem with shower (floods in bathroom after 1 minute shower ). We complained and asked for change on day 1,
They changed it on day 6.
No refund of the upgrade or compensation was given back.
At check out they even made us pay for a few coffees.

GYM and spa :😢 old and left there
For me me it was important as I stayed 8 days
Nobody goes, not even the cleaning Staff. I went once and I could add extra juices things

We really loved our stay here!
The staff are all SO friendly, it really makes a difference so thank you.
The location is great right next to the beach, close walk to Ierapetra which is a lovely town - not too busy with tourists.
The food is varied and excellent, and lots to do in the day at the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here despite 40 degrees! The staff were very friendly. The restaurant team were unbelievable. (Rania the manager, Krystina and Sofia.) They really made us feel at home. Miss them already! Sometimes the room service forgot to replace things, but the receptionists were very helpful. The animateur wasn't very motivating. We booked adults only, there was also a sign on the beach, (only 16+,) but late afternoon there were families with children taking up the sunbeds.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for: the positive and friendly staff, the cuisine, the location, and the many facilities for guests (such as free sunbeds). There were many different activities and evening events that helped us have fun. We had the opportunity to try many local delicious dishes - definitely a point for which to stay at this hotel.

Amazing place. The pool and beach were spotless, staff were so friendly and accommodating. My sister and I are vegan and even managed to find a different dish every night we could eat, hot food as well as lots of salad and dips. Highly recommended :)

We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a smaller, quiet hotel within walking distance of the town of Ierapetra, where you can find the promenade, shops, cafes and taverns. The hotel has a private, nice, clean beach with a gentle entrance to the sea and free sunbeds with umbrellas, clear water with lots of fish. The all inclusive food was delicious and different every day, there is a little less choice than in the big resorts, but we've never had a problem to choose. The very kind and always smiling staff made us feel really welcome. The only disadvantage is the quite busy road that separates the hotel directly from the beach, it was somethimes a problem to cross it and sometimes the noise could be heard on the beach during the busy times. It's a pity that the bar on the beach is not included in the all inclusive program. Some of the rooms have a bit old equipment and AC in our room was quite loud. We thank all the staff, whose great attitude and smile create a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel, thanks to which one forgets all the minor weak points.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing, the food included in our half board was very tasty and diverse, suitable for vegetarians, as well. The food bar menu is great, too, huge portions for reasonable price. The staff is truly very attentive, friendly, welcoming and professional, all communication was very smooth. The animator's team are also doing a great job. We had a standard room with a balcony that had a pleasant pool and mountain view, the bed was big and comfortable. It is close to city centre and to the bus station of Ierapetra, it was 15 minutes of walking for us. Beautiful and clean private beach. Would recommend this hotel, thank you!

The staff were absolutely amazing! So lovely, so friendly, incredibly accommodating and just genuinely beautiful people. No matter how busy they were, which was very, a genuine smile and service was always provided. It was really sad to leave in all honesty.

Particular mentions go to Erica on the front desk (is it Erica? I remember her Mum’s name is Monica - only because I thought that was what she said her name was until I double checked) and George too, but really everyone from all the front desk were lovely, to the barman, the dinner staff (who always had my preferred sparkling water available), the yoga teachers, you name it; they were all awesome!

The pictures I have added speak for themselves as to quality of the hotel, and it was just lovely. I would go there again in a heartbeat, and I know they’d all remember us and completely welcome us back, they were that genuinely lovely.
