Altana Heritage Suites

I cannot recommend Altana enough! Our stay was incredible. We traveled around the island and the view from our balcony was the best! The service from Michael, Christos and Mario was exceptional, in addition to the help from the gentlemen bringing out breakfast and carrying our bags. Breakfast was wonderful, delivered right to our balcony. Not exorbitantly expensive, and well worth the money!!

The view from Altana is breathtaking. Then you add in the friendliness of all their staff starting with Michael, Christos and Marios. They go above and beyond for you the entirety of your stay and then let you know upon check out you can reach out to them for all things Greece for as long as you want. We were welcomed with a coffee on the house as it was early when we arrived and a drink upon check out. Any questions or anything we wanted to do while we were on the island, they took care of arranging. We messaged in advance to see if they could book some reservations for us as we couldn’t call into Greece and it was done within a day and always letting us know if there is anything else they could do to please ask. The rooms were amazing, clean and the pool views were insane. If we are to come back to Santorini we would stay here every time. The complimentary breakfast on the private terrace was icing on the cake. 10/10 would recommend to anyone thinking of staying at Altana.

Oh my goodness, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Just book it!
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and opted for the room with the private jacuzzi and I’m so glad we did. Unlike other hotels we had walked past in the alleyways, you are not overlooked here as the hotel is very private behind its own walls and doors.
In saying that the location is also excellent, amazing views of the sunset, the iconic white buildings and you’re so close to the blue domes you can enjoy the view without the tourists or queue. You can walk everywhere and there’s also parking close by.
The rooms, very comfy, quiet, spacious and having the breakfast delivered to your balcony was unreal. There’s even a beautiful quaint restaurant at the base of the hotel which you must try.
The most important part were the staff. Every single member made us feel very welcome and comfortable, we received amazing recommendations and they even went to the effort of booking restaurants for us.
The only bad part was having to leave.

The hotel’s location is perfect, perched on the cliffs with breathtaking views of the caldera. Waking up to that stunning panorama each morning was truly magical. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated in the traditional Cycladic style, and impeccably clean. We had a private balcony with jacuzzi, where we enjoyed our breakfast every morning while taking in the incredible scenery.

If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing escape with unbeatable views and top-tier service, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic getaway!

I stayed at Altana for only one night but that was the highlight of my santorini trip! I am definitely going back in the future!

Altana was the first hotel we stayed in Santorini. Located at Imerovigli, the splendid and magnificent view of caldera and Aegean Sea was heaven on earth! The Cycladic style room was meticulously clean, and it just felt like home. The hotel itself was picturesque in almost every corner. The breakfast and the drinks were delicious and Greek authentic. What really amazes and impresses me is their impeccable team. We arrived early in the morning and Christos and the whole team greeted us with the most welcoming hospitality and enthusiasm. Christos was very knowledgeable, helpful and really friendly. I learned a lot about Santorini from him, be it the history or the great restaurants he recommended.
In all, the stunning view, the comfortable room and the stellar hospitality all make Altana a dream stay for us. Strongly recommend Altana to everyone and hope I can visit again!

Amazing views and flawless service- would absolutely recommend!!

The best views on the island, along with excellent service. Breakfast here was some of the best food we had on our entire trip to Santorini.

Truly excellent experience with customer oriented, non-tourist service at every interaction. It is boutique hotel with personalized service. Th staff (Christina, Marianna, and Michael) is friendly, very helpful and provide very good non-tourist suggestions for dining and island exploration. They went out of the way to make reservations and also to provide alternatives - this in fact made our vacation in Santorini pleasant. Every customer interaction from luggage pickup to breakfast service was pleasant. The owner of the hotel also stopped by for friendly conversation. Overall, the atmosphere at the hotel was extremely pleasant.

The location of the hotel is perfect, we could comfortably watch sunset as well as sunrise from our room avoiding the crowd. Hotel being at highest elevation provided excellent views. Besides, it is walking distance to restaurants as well as Fira.

The swimming pool is at the highest elevation and is a very good experience with scenic views -- not to miss!

Highly recommend this hotel for visit to Santorini for its personalized friendly service, location, and amenities.

Rooms are spectacular with the best view ever of the Caldera. We book the honey moon suite, fresh from renovation, and it is the best suite since is the highest one.
I will definitely come back.
It is not the cavo tagoo but honestly who cares when you have the best price best view and awesome service.
Also the breakfast served at your terrace is delicious.
