Ira Hotel & Spa

This hotel is in an amazing position right on the rim of the caldera . They will pick you up from the airport for a fee . Our first view of Santorini was amazing when we arrived at the hotel .We were greeted with a welcome drink by the lovely staff who were always helpful and friendly . We had a cave room in the courtyard which was very nice,kettle in room and air conditioning. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice and we had lunch there too up on the terrace overlooking the sea .We did not use the pool as we had a short stay . The hotels position means a very easy stroll into the town for restaurants and shops . There are a number of steps into town and at the hotel and it is up hill coming home at night .

The view is great and staff friendly and helpful. But not a 4 star hotel. Breakfast not that varied and no bar at the pool. They should also invest in a better coffee machine. The view though was good enough to make up for it.
