Galaxy in Kalambaka

Stayed for a business trip to their single room. New furniture, quiet, new bathroom and great bed although really tiny. Friendly atmosphere and good breakfast in spacious ground floor.

Lovely memory at Kalambaka and Hotel galaxy. Best location and room condition, delicious breakfast, kind staffs. Hope to visit again.

Much better than we expected

Perfect position in a quiet street in the centre of town. Five minute walk from the train station. We had a room which I suspect had one of their better views of the stunning rocks. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was interesting, unfortunately the waitress in the breakfast room couldn’t speak English so we weren’t exactly sure what we were eating, not the best when you have allergies. The shower was hot. Room very clean. Nice little balcony. We couldn’t find a kettle in the room and my husband went down stairs to enquire. There is no kettles in the rooms but you are welcome to come down stairs and make yourself a cup of tea whenever you like. My husband made two cups of tea and by the time he got them back to the room they were cold. We were surprised when we checked out to find we were charged three euro per teabag! This was the first Greek hotel we have stayed in so not sure if standard practice but we have never encountered this anywhere else we have travelled in the world. We weren’t happy especially since we weren’t advised of this.

The location is extremely convenient.

10 min walk from the station.

3 min walk to a large supermarket.

3 min walk to the town center.

Breakfast was included and was very elaborate and satisfying.

8 kinds of hors d'oeuvres. 8 more kinds of dessert.

The fruit and bread were all delicious.

The front desk was also very friendly and asked me to choose what I wanted, but I still bought some for them, which was great.

I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit.

Wonderful stay and well-worth the money! Location is perfect. My only complaint is that it says in booking they offer laundry service but it was not available at the time we arrived, which inconvenienced the rest of our trip a bit. It's possible it can be arranged if informed ahead of time. Otherwise, breakfast had a good variety of pastries and the staff was super kind and friendly!

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Hotel Galaxy while visiting Kalampaka and highly recommend it.
The central location of the hotel was great, breakfast was plentiful and divine, and the rooms and facilities were clean and very comfortable.
Most importantly, the staff was outstanding, very welcoming, and attentive. Of all the wonderful staff, Effie, at the front desk was so caring and went above and beyond in assisting us and making sure we enjoyed our stay.

EXCEPTIONAL! This is the best way to describe Hotel Galaxy in every aspect. Quality, Staff, Cleanliness, EVERYTHING! Not to mention the town of Kalambaka, as the people are friendly and the food is fantastic. I WILL BE BACK and stay here again!

This hotel isn't fancy, the rooms are quite small and the furniture is old... BUT... We loved staying here!
At the end of the day, the atmosphere and the personnel is what counts the most!
The room was clean, beds are very comfortable, breakfast was very good, with a variety of foods to choose from and the staff was wonderful!
We had the pleasure to meet Elias and Efi at the reception and they were both so nice to us, so friendly and helpful!
The lady preparing the breakfast was also so sweet and friendly!
The hotel is also very close to the monasteries and the station!
I definitely recommend this place ❤️
