Best Hotels in Kalambaka

The restaurant provides a buffet in the evening with a rich menu and the breakfast is also very good. The room is larger, with a large balcony, complete facilities, clean and quiet

So no chance for a personal cosy breakfast or dinner. But we definitely recommend this hotel as it is one of the best at this place

We liked the location and nice big rooms and balcony with a view. It was comfortable to get a rest after sightseeing. The only trouble was that the hotel is pretty big and there were several big groups at the same time

The front desk staff are friendly and will provide Sky City tour maps and tell you where to watch the sunset. The hotel has complete facilities, including a large outdoor swimming pool

There are 6-8 tour buses every day during the few days of stay, which are two-day tour groups from various places to Kalambaka, so the breakfast and buffet dinner will be crowded

The hotel is located outside Kalambaka Town, 5-6km away, suitable for self-driving tourists. There is a large courtyard in front of the hotel for parking

The breakfast was nice with a good variety of food but nothing special. The swimming pool area is very nice but the swimming pool needs to be cleaned in many places. Definitely a place to recommend at the end of the day

The views are absolutely stunning—some of the best I’ve seen. Staff were friendly and genuinely accommodating

Rooms are nice inside and most of them have a great view in Meteora. They have free waters and a coffee machine providing new cups every day. I would definitely like to see more effort regarding detailed cleaning

We had a family room this time with two separate bedrooms ( without doors that could be closed, but it did not bother us). The swimming pool has the same view, but a bit too cold to have a swim in October 😜

The rooms were clean, the bathrooms recently updated, and while the beds weren’t the most plush, I still slept well after a long day of exploring

As a bonus, there is a pool to relax in while taking in the view. As for location, it’s about a 20-minute walk to restaurants in Kastraki and just a quick taxi ride to central Kalambaka

The breakfast buffet surpassed our expectations (they had lots of gluten free options) and the restaurant has great food and service

The restaurant is one of the best in the area and it did not disappoint (breakfast was included and we also had a fabulous dinner there). We even loved the playlist/music that was playing in the background

The hotel is walking distance to two of the closest monasteries via a nature path, but I recommend hiring a cab or renting a car to see the rest

Internet is free and available but painfully slow. I would definitely stay here again just for the magnificent views, the price was very reasonable and there were no showstoppers

We were delighted to arrive at this beautifully appointed hotel. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The views were awe inspiring and the garden/patio areas just so lovely

Those with the amazing, panoramic view to Meteora rocks are the best! The breakfast served in buffet is Greek traditional, (delicious!) made with local products and offers great variety

We had a fantastic 3-night stay. The Staff is amazing, so friendly, helpful and efficient. The view is just incredible, the best! Excellent breakfast, delicious and fresh local and homemade products

Somehow something about the hotel just put me at peace and made me feel comfortable. I’m not sure why but it did it for me. Breakfast was good and so was the coffee that they provided

At noon until evening you can smell in front of the hotel the grill of the near taverna, really bad thing for the rooms that are facing the front. The breakfast is very good with a big variety

This place is the cutest little hotel at the foot of the mountains. Things started off really well when the receptionist welcomed us like we were old friends

She explained everything to us and even showed us our room and gave us options. The room was comfortable and spacious and even tho it was a bit of a trip back in time everything was very clean and worked well

Check in was smooth. Receptionist was very friendly, gave us recommendations and highlighted to us the monasteries in the area. There were space for car parking. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent.

Great location, 10 minutes walk from the first Meteora church Saint Nicholas. 30 minutes walk from closest big city Kalambaka. Super quite and calm area. Tasty family restaurant in 100 meters.

Really good location. On the beginning of the trail up the cliffs. Good if you are looking fir a pastoral, quite and chilled time. Nice rooms! We got a big and clean room with balcony to the cliffs.

The most scenic hotel of our stay in Greece. Rooms are large, all have great views, balconies on the back have incredible ones. Beautiful building, town and scenery. Would stay there again tomorrow.

We stayed in this hotel for one night as a part of our tour to Meteora. Our room was fine, had a nicely renovated bathroom and a view on Meteora. The buffet dinner and breakfast were both good. Nothing to complain about!

It was clean, the staff were nice, and they had a buffet available for supper and breakfast. The buffets were OK, with a good variety of stuff available

A small hotel for the general public, with good value for money

I originally thought the hotel was pretty good, as I could see the hanging monastery, but soon after I entered the room, I was hit by a flying insect, not a mosquito. When I got up, I felt itchy and bumpy

The bathroom was fine except for the tub; it was small and had two levels, which made it awkward for showering. Each of us almost fell over while showering. We could hear people in the next room clearly

Luckily, those people went to sleep very early. If you need three beds, I suggest getting adjoining rooms. We had three beds in our room and it was tough to move around in the room

Alsos house was a really good place to stay. It was spacious,quiet and clean and within walking distance of Kalabaka township. I would highly recommend this place.

It is far away from the city center. The view is nice but realized that you can see Meteora from almost anywhere in the city. The personal doesn't speak good English. 50 minutes walking trail to one of the monastery

is in a perfect location. Apartment in a small building of apartments for rent. Lovely and helpful staff. A comfortable and spacious apartment. Air conditioning in the living room and in the bedroom. Convenient parking.

Clean and spacious family-run hotel. We got an upgrade with extra bedroom complimentary. Great location with a beautiful view of the rock pinnacle in front of our room. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

How I loved my stay at Alsos House. The staff were welcoming and accommodated our every wish. Other guests were friendly. The grand rocks were just outside our window to marvel at. Anne and Ange from Australia.

We arrived at the hotel relatively late, so we could choose to have a buffet at the hotel, which requires an additional fee. Except for the old equipment, the hotel is really good

The pros: location is great and we had a balcony facing the monastery so it was a lovely view. The room and washroom were clean and the staff and food were very good

The hotel is relatively old, but it is still clean and the decoration is very Greek. My friend and I booked a double room, but were given a quadruple room

The receptionist who received us was very enthusiastic and told us how to go up the mountain, how to take the bus, and how to eat

The only minus point is that the hotel accommodates coach parties. It can get hectic and chaotic at times. Door slamming by unruly guests can be a nuisance

Perhaps something can be done to the door mechanism to improve on the situation if the guests are inconsiderate

Amazing view,you get to see Meteora rocks from your bed. the breakfast was rich and they had the best season Greek sweet fruits. but the best surprise came from the owner who gaved us a reduction without us even asking

Following these recommendations made our stay even better. The included breakfast was worth the price. Cleanliness was a big positive for us, with sanitizers being provided at most points

Tourist bus of this hotel filled the whole parking. The room had 2 mosquitoes and there was a missing shower door, we asked for a mop and mopped the water. Breakfast is basic and nice.

I Go to the bar to order coffee, the service told me he will send it to the room. Excellence staff, every body smile. When we chick out , because we lost one room card. The beautiful ladie told me don't be mind

The front office tell us when and which place we should go. And introduce all the place to us. The root is also nice we can see the mountains in the room

Our family room with Meteora view offers plenty of space and a nice-size balcony with view. Best thing about this hotel is that all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good job!

They serve a continental breakfast, and it’s plentiful, with a large variety of items. Location is good, within walking distance to downtown. Great for a tranquil stay in Meteora

However my room was outdated and the bathroom was very dark and shower did not work properly. But I understand they are currently renovating/updating the rooms. Overall a good hotel for 1 night stay

The air conditioning is not working good enough and it its realy hot. The receptionist try to gaslighting use telling use its working

Stayed at this hotel while visiting the area. It's in a great location, on the main road of Kalambaka with wonderful views of the rocks. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and they offered a lovely breakfast.

Upon entering the room, we were positively surprised by the layout of the room. Fruit juice, coffee, tea + sweet and salty, cold and hot foods. Especially the sweet, hot pastries (milkpie?) were so finger licking good

Clean rooms and the hotel is very close to the center of kalabaka. The prices are normal. I think it is a good choice for one or two nights

Truly a wonderful place to stay. Spiros and his wife, Mary, went far out of their way to make sure I had a good experience both at the hotel and in the area, and getting to know them was a pleasure

Nice manager, rooms and view are good. Lots of cute cats around. Very quiet as in a newly developed part of town. Walking time to town is ok.

In a very good location, only 8-10 min drive from the monasteries, wonderful views from the balcony, very friendly and respectful staff 👍🏻 There was no parking lot, but there was plenty of free parking just a few meters away
