I booked a stay here for 3 nights in June. The gym was not available (which was one of my main reasons to book this facility). The breakfast had cold boiled eggs from the day before and spam instead of bacon. The premium standard is definitely not met by this resort. The staff is very unfriendly and smokes on the balcony instead of tending to customers. On the second night, at 3 am!! a pipe bursted from under the sink in the bathroom, water got all over the room including 3 other neighbor rooms. Nobody was at the reception and I waited in the lobby until 8 am. When the staff arrived there were no excuses or refund offers. Don’t book this hotel if you need medical assistance. I got a panic attack and get really anxious when the water bursted. I knocked on the room next to me, and a Greek couple managed to close the pipe with a towel. Very unpleasant experience that would have been more acceptable if the staff would have at least apologized…

The worst hotel experience I ever had. The girl at the reception is extremely rude and sarcastic, we reported a lot of problems since we got in (broken parts, dirty sheets, the gym is non existent). On top of that, they claimed we booked one night less than what we booked and paid for because they could not find it in their system. At nights there is no staff at the hotel for emergency cases or protection, and the doors are open for anyone to access. SCAM.

Deceiving. Definitely not a 4 star hotel resort and spa experience and the photos definitely don’t match what you actually find when you get here. Extremely poor maintenance and management of the hotel, many broken things, gym non existent, spa services not actually available, pool doesn’t open till 11:00, no staff at the hotel at night but at the same thing full access is possible to just anyone during those hours. One of the rooms doors made an alarm sound every time we opened it.

We were thoroughly disappointed with our stay at the Aar Hotel & Spa. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a modern exterior and welcoming lobby, but our room told a different story. We were horrified to find long female hair scattered everywhere, including on the bed sheets, and a bathtub that reeked of mildew. The room was clearly not thoroughly cleaned, with visible traces of dirt and dust present throughout.
Despite being moved to a different room, we unfortunately encountered the same issues. The lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance was appalling and left a sour taste in our mouths. We promptly cancelled our reservation and decided not to spend the night.
We strongly advise potential guests to think twice before booking at the Aar Hotel & Spa. The hotel's lack of attention to detail and failure to maintain basic standards of cleanliness make it an unacceptable choice for anyone seeking a comfortable and hygienic stay. 🚮👎

Not a 4 star spa hotel.
No insulation. Next room when they were booking in were so loud I had to go out to the hallway to inform them. They were polite and tried to remain quiet. The night manager got angry with me. With no thoughts for us.
They were watching football and discussing every kick which I could hear through the walls!! Could also hear their bathroom habits! Could hear every guest in the outside hallway passing.
Breakfast was Ok (we had better at 3 star hotel the night before).
Road noise starts at 5am (they cannot help the road but providing earplugs would help if clients do not have a pair).
Blue light from air conditioning/ heat unit remains on throughout night - needs a cover to block it out.
Synthetic linen is very noisy compared to cotton.
Sink was cracked.
TV channels are basic. No cable!
Indoor pool opens at odd hours - unsure why as no explanation given- no lifeguard is required so don't understand this rule (you have to book if outside their time table- it's difficult to plan exact times when travelling as you never know if you will get back in time). Gym is a tiny depressing room in basement, again open at odd hours (open 11 am after breakfast?? again unsure why the need for set hours as no one is supervising).

Excellent everything!!! Spotless clean hotel, very big rooms, very clean, kind staff, clean pool. Breakfast was lively, so yummy. Definitely recommend it and definitely coming back again.

2. The hotel staff were fine. On checkout they asked us to vote for the hotel (to win in some competition) & write a comment. A good and authentic hotel would never ask that.
3. The location is in the corner of Ioannina, far from all the bars and shops.
All in all, do yourself a favor and avoid.

This was a nice hotel with clean and modern rooms, friendly staff and very decent breakfast. The only downside is the fact that the hotel is RIGHT next to the main road and the noise insulation in the room, while not totally bad, could be better.

Had ants in the room upon arrival, the front desk gave me a spray can to get rid of them, which I did myself, from there the Air Condition didn't work, we couldn't switch rooms cause they were booked, so my family and I ducked it up and sweated all night, couldn't sleep and we were all miserable, the second day they gave us a room with a working A/C. The door knob on the bath door fell off, as did the sink stopper, room floor was sticky. Pool was overcrowded and had a view of the street. Will never come back to this hotel
