The bald receptionist (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant. His professionalism and genuine hospitality truly deserve 5 stars. I didn't get a chance to thank him personally, so I hope this praise gets to him.

Other than that, this hotel really needs better management, during dinner time, I found it challenging to find a place to sit, even though the dining room was half empty. Many tables were reserved exclusively for breakfast, which limited available seating for dinner guests. This was both confusing and inconvenient. Also please invest in plumbing, using the bucket is not five star worthy.

A perfect family holiday with an infinity pool and great food, as well as friendly staff from the maids to the porters and the beach bar. Worth every penny.

The staff seems angry and rude. It feels like they don't care about what they're doing. If you go down early to place your towels by the pool, they get removed after only 20 minutes. Furthermore, I would say that the rooms are generally okay. The shower has very low pressure, so very little water comes out. The breakfast buffet is pretty much the same every day, and the prices at the restaurant are outrageous considering the options available in the city center. There are many nice restaurants down by the harbor that are 100 times better than what you get at the hotel. The beach by the hotel isn't any good. It's full of large stones that will hurt your feet if you're not wearing shoes. Stick to the pool or find another beach if you want to swim.

Everything is generally expensive at the hotel, and we didn't feel that it deserves 5 stars. It's more like a max 4-star hotel.

What they call a gym is more of an exercise room, as you can mostly only do cardio. There are no dumbbells or other machines. There was one multi-gym machine, which wasn't anything exciting.

We definitely won't be coming back.

Great service at the beach! I think the woman who took our orders was called Petra or Paula? She was fantastic, despite the stress and scorching sun her serivice was impeccable!

If this was a 3 star hotel I would have given it 5 star rating. It claims to be a 5 star resort though and for that they still have a long way to go. We stayed a week and felt the countless flaws in this place on many occasions. Reception staff and most of the waiters are too arrogant and truly not customer friendly. The cleaning staff run around with their brooms as you’re sitting at your dining table. Several dishes during dinner buffet lack descriptions so you’re never sure what you’re actually putting on your plate. The towels are changed daily even though they’re clean and hanging on the hooks - so much for sustainability and water preservation! Be sure to get up at sunrise if you want a sun-bed as people “reserve” good spots very early leaving their towels behind. Expensive pool bar with a very unpleasant girl at the counter. Lovely location, good snorkeling spot directly infront of the hotel. Bring your sea-shoes as very difficult to enter the sea otherwise. 10 mins walk to center of Pigadia. Amazing sunrise if you get up early!

My experience at the hotel was extremely disappointing. First and foremost, I strongly advise against choosing the rooms located outside the main building. Those rooms were dirty, lacked any Wi-Fi service, and had a terrible smell. Additionally, there were insects entering the room freely, making the stay even more unpleasant. The shower was particularly problematic – it had no door, causing water to spill out all over the room.

If you want to go to a BEAUTIFUL hotel and to have amazing food and just relax, this is the place to go! My partner and I are both vegetarians and the options were endless at the buffet and we are so happy we chose the half-pension! Staff was super lovely. Service very very good. Highly recommend Alimounda Mare. Definitely going back.

Beautiful island, beautiful hotel. We thank the captain and his staff for their attention in selecting and serving very tasty lunches. Our thanks also go to the wonderful beach service. We will be happy to come back next year.

This is not a five star hotel. There are so many signs posted with rules, you feel like you are in a military camp. They monitor how much water and juice you drink and will try and force you to buy bottled water. They actually yell ant you for refilling your glass All the staff enforce the rules. Definitely not five stars and definitely not relaxing. The worst is if you want to get an iron they say you must drop your clothes off and lick up next day for a charge. They try to make money anyway they can. I’m surprised they don’t charge for the air you breathe. No hospitality. Avoid at all costs.

The only positive stars go to the housekeeping, who did their job perfectly. "Side sea view rooms" mean that you have a view to the nearby lounge bar - no real sea view.

Dining service was a total disaster, both from the food quality and service point of view. On the first night it took about 30 minutes to serve water during the dinner and then additional 10 minutes for the glasses. At some point I have lost patience and brought myself water and glasses from my room. Same goes for setting a table, takes long minutes to put a napkin and cutlery on the table. Dining room stuff is rude and barely speaks English for the most.

No ping pong table despite it is advertised. I was advised to "try the nearby Electra hotel". Tennis courts are external facility, not related to the hotel. You need sandals to enter the sea because of the rocks (not really hotel's fault), but there are far better beaches on the island.
