Thalassa Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

On arrival, they were aggressive, not what we deserved.
After taking all day to get there, we headed for the restaurant we spent 350 euros we actually had a good time service was friendly food, well, it was different.
But sadly, things went down.
I needed a manicure and pedicure. This hotel was not able to provide this and organise me to go to a spa place next to the Alley hotel. first, the hotel gave me the wrong time, which cost me 20 euros in taxi fares and then repeated the trip at the correct time, which they said it was a misunderstanding. (Just cost 40 euros!!) But the manicure and pedicure was a disaster. The equipment was not even sterilised, and my fingers were sore for days, skin hanging of them.
Next, we ordered a lunch snack (Mexican wraps) waiting and waiting they did not arrive, I asked what happened to our order 3 hrs later joking with them have they arrived from Mexico yet?, they did not appreciate the joke which it should have been the other way round I should have been grumpy cause we did not get our order, they said that the person misunderstood that took our order, see that word "misunderstood" keeps coming up in our stay the simple fact is they just forgot. And because we said something, our stay was beginning to get uncomfortable.
Then we decided to have everning dinner which we ordered a bottle of wine, again "misunderstanding", (that word again) cause we did not get the wine, the waiter just forgot. Of course, we complain, what is so difficult? After big discussion we decided not to support the hotel restaurant with our hard working money and went the village where there were serval restaurants to choose from.
So you can imagine our stay was being made more uncomfortable, NO falt of ours.
Our room was awkward it was top floor on the corner. Sea view was slight, also there was not a lot of natural light into our room we had the electricity on most of the time we were there. The best part in the room was the walk-in shower, so spacious, new, but at the same time kinda dangerous cause at night if you needed the toilet, we bumped into the glass at the beginning until we knew our ways. The clothes facilities was for us staying 2 weeks was absolutely not good it was open plan hanging rail thing with no doors, shelfs so high you have to be a basket ball player, and then the oppersite two draws exactly on the floor not a very good architect for a hotel!
Breakfast was the same boring stuff every day: stale bread, cereals, just the one, when you have a cheese allergy and everything is splattered with cheese, options are not so great, so kinda had really enough and wanting to go home.
And some mornings, the extension of the hotel in front of the hotel was irritating loud. And irritating english music, we are on a Greek island!!!!
And to top it, the whole hotel, apart from our room, is infested with billions of mosquitos. There was nowhere to escape, sit, or lay. Otherwise, you got nibbled. Maybe they should tidy up the garden area's the smell of pee pee was strong (could be that's the cats)(oh just in case I love cats).
Actually, the whole island had this problem (mosquito's,) never known to be so many mosquitos. We have been to a few Greek islands.
Getting away from the hotel the beaches were great, we hired a car and done the whole island it was better for us to be away from the hotel although on our return we visited the cocktail bar for a night cap which was around 9-10 at the entrance of the hotel which was great they were accurate and friendly the only place we really enjoyed.
We have travelled rather a lot, and this hotel is not what it seems, no Greek flare, even the staff where not Greek, just once a week Greek music which actually we enjoyed there should have been one or two dancers to involve us tourist I think it would be a big success I would have joined in!! I mean, that's why we are there but no flare, English music played everywhere. We were in "Skala," and you would think you are in Yarmouth, or Clacton, (UK) shops all exactly the same kitsch.
So no, we will not be returning.

absolutely beautiful hotel. great rooms! we were upgraded for free as soon as we got there as it was our honeymoon.

First impressions were good, nice gardens and pool areas. We had booked a deluxe room but we were a bit disappointed as only mirror did not have a plug nearby. The patio furniture were very mismatched. Lovely sea view but we paid a lot for it. Staff at pool bar were very nice and friendly.
