Reviews
Pools were really nice; plenty of space, also the beach side is perfect. Very close, plenty of beds, bar right next to the beach - perfect.
The hotel is located in a beautiful garden right by the beach, which is undoubtedly one of its biggest advantages. The beach is great – clean water, plenty of sunbeds – but there are often big waves, so sometimes you might not be able to swim at all. We were lucky and had calm seas for half the holiday. There are three pools, all well-maintained and pleasant. There are three beach bars, but only one is included in the all-inclusive package; the others offer a 30% discount. The pool bar also serves snacks during the day. Beach towels are available for free, and exchanging them costs €1.
The food was a big disappointment. Although there’s a lot of it, it’s the same every day and the quality is very low. They use cheap ingredients – no real feta, good Greek yogurt, or real butter. Desserts and other meals often seemed to come from semi-prepared products. There was fish available daily, which was at least a small plus. Breakfasts were especially poor – the same thing every day, eggs and yogurt weren’t good, and the cold cuts were pretty bad. On the bright side, there was always plenty of fresh, tasty vegetables.
The drinks included in the all-inclusive package didn’t impress us either. Cocktails were really bad – made with cheap alcohol, overly strong and extremely sweet. Beer was fine, wine below average. Coffee was terrible – only instant, and even the paid espresso was very bad.
The animation program was weak, except for the Greek night, which was the only event worth mentioning. However, the kids’ program looked like it could have been quite nice.
The room was older but generally fine. The biggest issue was the very uncomfortable bed and especially the pillows. If you get a room facing the street and don’t want to sleep with the window closed and air conditioning on, you won’t sleep well – there’s noise from the town: night parties, early delivery trucks honking, etc. The room was cleaned daily and the housekeeping staff did a really good job.
The hotel definitely has potential – beautiful surroundings, a great location – but it’s clear they’re trying to save money on services. It might be better to reduce the amount of food and drink and focus more on quality instead.
That said, some aspects were just average. The food was okay, not particularly memorable, but there was a decent variety. The beach wasn’t fully clean due to a lot of sea grass, which wasn’t ideal. Service at the beach bar could also be quite slow, especially during busy times. The room equipment felt outdated and could use some renovation.
Unfortunately, there were also some real downsides. The hotel was very noisy — cleaning staff started early in the morning, and mealtimes were surprisingly loud due to the constant clattering of cutlery and dishes. Our room felt much too small for two adults and two kids, and the fact that there was only one electric socket made it even more inconvenient. The bathroom also had just a curtain instead of a proper shower screen, which made things quite messy after showers.
All in all, the hotel has some good qualities, especially in terms of cleanliness and location, but the noise, limited space, and outdated facilities made it a less-than-perfect stay.
I understand the need for hotels to maintain safety for guests, but there should be a clear distinction between private and public area, and more importantly, respectful communication. This kind of behaviour does not reflect well on the hotel’s overall hospitality standards.
