Astir Beach Hotel

On the first floor our room was a good size. The minor issue was that the cold water tap in the bath/shower was not working, but once I let reception know , they came and fixed it straight away. Our view from the balcony was perfect poolside and beach front. The service and cleanliness were 5star. Family-friendly hotel and very peaceful atmosphere. I had a massage at the poolside, which was amazing. Thanks again, Lucy. You are amazing at what you do. The only thing that was not for me was that the breakfast could have been fresher, but I have high standards when it comes to food. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay, and I loved it.

We had an amazing week staying in the hotel! The pool was amazing, the rooms were clean, the food was delicious and traditional and the stuff was very friendly, helpful and warm!!When we arrived they surprised us with a 15 minutes massage, it was great. Aloni the smiley girl in the reception gave us some great recommendations for the area , the lady of the restaurant was so amazing and George at the bar was creating magic with tequila!
I would stay again in this hotel, i recommend it!

I saw reviews about the rooms being bad and the service being horrible, but i find that absolutely false. The rooms, while old-looking, are confortabke and very welcoming. The doors are kinda bad (locks are hard to open (because you need to use a key). In my opinion, the food is great! Although there are not many options, the quality is better than expected. The staff is great, the people at the reception are kinda quiet, but the rest of the staff are nice. Location-wise this is the best, a few steps away from the beach meaning easy access. The animation team is good at keeping kids entertained, with games, dances & more. In coclusion, its a nice, cheap hotel that can provide anything you need for a nice week with your family!

First time on vacation with family and we had a fantastic time! The hotel is great and adapted for small children! The animators impressed us the most, great content and energy! Thanks a lot! Love Crete!

I LOVE MY JOB

Hotel was very nice, big variety of tasty greek and International food. Awesome animation for children and adults, there plenty of activities to do in a hotel. Super nice and energetic young animators. Great place from which you can discover east and center part of Crete.

We had a good experience.
We came with an all inclusive package but we wouldn’t recommend it.
Rooms: we had one at ground floor with very comfortable bed. Toilet/shower is full renovated so it’s a plus. Also a/c works perfectly.

Restaurant: food is different every day, we stayed for 8 days and we were nicely surprised with the variety. We would have been appreciate more sea food however.

Pools: A nightmare, People reserves the beds literally from 6 am despite of being forbidden. ! We were full week and beds would be with towel but people may not show up there at all. This is such nasty behaviour can’t believe it myself. Reserving them just in case you may want to come ?
We never got to have one spare bed in 8 days.
On the other hand the beds by the sea are always available, of course is paid.

All inclusive drinks not worthy! They don’t have good alco drinks included. If lucky they may offer you a cuba libre or gin & tonic, beer! You can only get the drinks at the indoor bar which is quite annoying and no sea ! If you are by the pool or sea you can’t get drinks from the outdoor bar!? Like why!? Same alcohol same place but you have to go all the way inside for it or pay !!!!
Bar where you can get drinks closes at 11pm the other bar closes at 2 am. So if you Kay for all inclusive keep in mind that party is over at 11.

Beach: May be the big plus here as it’s sandy and clear water. Very beautiful!

Staff: the nicest people works here, from restaurant staff to animation team, bar attendants, reception, cleaning staff! Everyone committed with their work and always smiley and nice to you. Thanks to all of them for making the experience better with your vibes!

Location: 100% to relax because there’s no clubs, only few bars around.

Not giving 5 stars ⭐️ Because of the alcohol situation under the all inclusive, the reserved beds at the pool .

I come here in vacation with my family and we had great time!! The hotel is very beautyful ! The pool and the beach are clean, the staff of the hotel is very kinde one of them is philip, he is great!!! The restaurant is very nice !
Animation team is the best with ines that she is fantastic you cant be bored you will have great time, ayman fantastic the playboy is very good guy and dali dj catastrofa is good also.
The night in the hotel is super, there are a lot of show like fakhir show, quiz music, man vs woman!
I will come here again!!

The hotel has a great location. Right across from the sea. The The hotel has a great location. Right across from the sea. The pool is fantastic and kept extremely clean. It's 25 meters and I was able to swim 1/2 mile a day uninterrupted. The food is great. Not excellent. The gym sucks. My television never really worked but you're not supposed watch TV on vacation, but I did ask three times for them to fix it and no one did. Christine at the front desk was lovely and they were all helpful. Janni gave me a great massage. This is a family hotel. Not expensive at all. They have some entertainment but for me, (I'm a professional musician) it was lame. All in all, I recommend it.
