Gaia Royal

Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. Mini zoo for kids and also mini golf, several kids play, tennis, football, basketball court, 3 very good pools with bars. Garden areas beautiful and balconies on apartment blocks very spacious and sheltered from sun. Gaia itself is a bit out of the way but there's very good buses that run from hotel reception that can take you to Kos town and that costs €3.50. or you can rent car, scooter, beach buggy or quad and travel to other beutiful spots in under 30mins. would we do Gaia royal again definately 100% yes. This place is special and has something for all ages. We loved it and we're sad to leave. We will be back for sure 😊

In what kind of hotel you get bottle water? xD Those negative comments are funny.
Lovely, family hotel. Very quiet.
Bungalows, village, everyday cleaning, big rooms.
Air conditioning.

The whole place is very well organised, garden is marvellous, there are paths for babystrollers and plants and palms are amazing.

Bravo for reusable cups - it makes place seem much more clean and friendly. It is not only about environment - it just looks better, when there is not so many plastic trash around.

Beach
sandy, shallow, beautiful, close

Food
generally vert tasty, unfortunatly cakes for breakfast are defrozen and lots of food is too salty
however you get a big variety, vegetarian and vegan options
you can ask for soya milk
delicious desserts during dinner (baklava.. too good...)

breakfast
(even in description) is "american" what it means cakes are defrozen and donuts tastes like paper. However there is a lot of fresh products to do oatmeal, prepare salad, variety of cheese and sausages.
Great omlettes.

lunch&supper
Food generally is very salty, fried potaoes or vegetarian meals sometimes so much it was unpossible to eat it.
I know everyone has another taste, but you can always add more salt, you cannot minus it, especially if we talk about meals for kids.
However, there is so many products every day I found something amazing.

Coffee is okay.

Pools
Three pools, one for kids, one deeper, just one with music. Kid says the best swimming pool he has ever been to.

Garden
Place is very green and well-kept, beautiful.

What are the minuses?
Water in taps has strange taste, it is true.
Ants come to your place if you leave even small piece of food not hidden in the freezer. I had pack of nuts hidden in the closed backpack. Ants found it and I had nuts with ants.

If you do not take food to room, you do not have to worry.
Smell. If you leave close to the zoo... You get the smell of zoo. However, we had superior room in- I guess the best place possible - close to the beach, next to the main building with restaurant and... during the night the smell was intolerable. I do not want to guess what was it...

Car-hire
Okay, it's not about hotel, but we hired the car from the lady who works there. Baby seats were terrifying. You finally get a car much expensive than there was in a leaflet.
Good advise: if you do not need automatic rears go few steps out of the hotel and you get the same car, cheaper and with much nicer salesman.

Absolutely loved our stay here at Gaia Royal🫶🏻 The buffet staff ladies were so polite and helpful, the food was always different and yummy! Our room never had any problems with insects and was always clean! The beach is so peaceful with amazing view of mountain range and beach bar on site! The pools were always clean and tidy and bartenders love to have fun with you😆 the hotel is a little out of the way of everything but the bus stop is right outside which was cheap and easy! 100% recommend and this was our first ever abroad holiday!💕🫶🏻🏖️ Thank you!!

All right...so about the Gaia Royal...

To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water.
In the beginning of the resort (the kids swimming pool) there is a very bad smell( I don't know how people stay there).
If you are a sea lover than if you are lucky and have a room close to the sea than it's OK.
The lady's from cleaning top class 👌 👏 🙌 😍 👍
Very polite and they do a very very good cleaning.
The food is every day almost the same behalve Monday wend is like traditional Greek food.
Animation team very very weak 👇👎.
Almost nothing to do and almost nothing for kids behalve kids club and that's it.
Weak interact with the guest.
In the rest like I said, if you are sea lover it's OK if you have a room close to the sea.
The beach bar is the best from the resort, very nice and polite guys at the bar.
Toni and Iorgo are the best 👌
I meat many people from local places where I was but this ones are something special...from the first minute direct connection like we know each other from many years.

Very positively surprised about the hotel for the price. Delicious food and huge variety of choice. Lots of pools,different depths and loungers all around, pool bars around them. Sandy beach is wonderful and very close to hotel. The only advise I would give is to buy water bottles as local water taste horrible (although doesn't affect hot baverages in hotel). Had fabulous time. Weather was amazing, aircon in the rooms and wifi worked great. Very clean ans tidy place. Staff very attentive to every need. Mini market on hotel grounds.

Gaia Royal Hotel in Mastichari truly exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, offering a variety of options that pleased everyone in our family. The pools are amazing and perfect for relaxation. Being right on the seashore is incredibly convenient, making beach access a breeze. The staff is highly professional and always willing to help, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The only minor issue was the smell of the water in the pipes, but this seems to be a common issue in Greece and beyond the hotel's control. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to return! Five stars!
