Where do I start. This is my first time leaving a hotel review in my life and honestly it is very much warranted. I only gave 2 stars, because the hotel overall and the experience was great. The place is very family friendly, the rooms are renovated, the food is decent. However that’s the end of the positives. The wildfire started 30/06 ( as far as we know it was ongoing from that date ). Now, as a reasonable person, I understand that it is nature and the hotel is not responsible for it. HOWEVER. Since the hotel knew at least since the early morning that there was a wildfire in an nearby area, it should have been their responsibility to ensure that their guests would be taken care of in case of evacuation orders. Obviously, that didn’t happen. First, we were promised to go to a different hotel, then they completely scratched that and instead bussed us (that’s practically everything TUI did to ensure our safety) to a football field close by the Kos hotel and just dropped us with their TUI representative (as you would expect were useless) and did absolutely nothing else. Then the Greek Military, government agencies, and local citizens, started to come helping us with some food, water and some random blankets and clothes to lay on the field. Mind you the hotel is family friendly - we had LOADS OF BABIES AND TODDLERS (including my own toddler) who were screaming in part due to the cold and nothing to lay on. The Greek military gave us some blankets and mats however, we had hundreds of people and the football stadium was just one of the locations were people were taken. Now here is the catch: apart from the Tui branch hotels, there were others. Those hotels that were booked through agencies were swiftly taken off the football field and placed in different hotels for the night. While TUI one of the biggest companies told people with kids that they will “try to get us into a conference room in their other hotels in Kos or another space to sleep”. Seriously???? A conference room? Not only that, the buses that were supposed to take families with small children to those conference rooms ( based again of the TUI guidance these busses would only take families with children) we’re letting people with no kids at all on the bus, leaving hundreds of families with small babies and infants stranded on the field. Later, we were told that the bus might take 3 hours to come back. Mind you, it was already 2 o’clock in the morning. The TUI representatives states that they couldn’t do anything to prevent people from going on the buses, and they would not help families with small kids. Also, no taxis Uber or shuttle service were operational. At that point with a screaming toddler, not enough milk, I wanted to just get out of that field any way possible. I called every single taxi and shuttle service that I could find online, but none answered. If you wanted to relieve yourself? Don’t bother. You are better off going to bush than stand in line for and hour to a toile

We booked this thinking it was 5 star! I’ll start off with the negatives! Food was disgusting and really found it hard in the evenings to find food that we liked! & we are not fussy eaters! The breakfast & lunch was absolutely fine. We did have to Que for breakfast. Tried to eat in the Italian in the morning as when booking it said main restaurant open for breakfast and Italian! But only main one open! Dinners were vile! & mainly ate bread & chips most nights! Have never even been to a 3 star and left a bad review on food! Then the American was shut the whole time we was there untill finally days and couldn’t get availability. Did manage to eat in the Greek and Asian. Which was very nice! So out of a 14 day stay. Only 2 days we ate decent meals! The Ariel adventure was closed the whole 2 weeks, pool towels were hard to change and the spa lady kept saying to us the hotel has not given us any! Never been to a 5star where you get 1 bottle of water for your fridge for the whole stay and you have to refill! Getting a drink in the evening by the amphitheater was just a joke!!! If she hadn’t ran out of cups she was just so slow and on her own for all the amount of people! So you can image the ques! Pool was absolutely freezing and hardly anyone could have fun in the pool the 1st week! Bed sheets wasn’t changed! I know this as I accidentally put makeup on them the 1st day & 14 days later. Still there! Patio doors were filthy! Just not 5 star standard! Really hilly!, Feel like we wasted money and needed another holiday after tbh! The hotel did give me a free late check out due to the disgusting food. But then tried to charge me €100! I said Tui have put me down as a free late check out due to the food! I did then get it. But it doesn’t make up for 14 days of bad food! Also if you was to pay €100 that is disgraceful for 7hrs for a room! Positives: HV Team really were amazing with the kids! I applaud them & the ladies behind the bar at the activity side pool were really friendly and done their best! Food at the Greek and Asian was fabulously! Football coach carter was so nice and friendly. Best night was the team that came in for the karaoke! That were such fun and great singers! Tui lady daisy was lovely but I felt sorry for her as she had so many complaints about the food! The alcarts being closed & the Ariel. So didn’t want to give her a hard time! She tried her best. But it was out of her hands and not much she could do! Beach is across the road. 20 mins walk to kardemena where you will probably end up going to eat as it being so poor! You don’t get value for money here. I wouldn’t come back again! I would book elsewhere! It’s ok saying “oh I don’t mind a buffet I’ll eat anything! But with dried up chicken, spegetti bolognese (with hardly any mince in), & god knows the other slop! but the chips, bread and chicken nuggets are good! Didn’t see no prawns or any luxury dishes in the buffet what you normally get in a 5 star! & when you get there y
