Malvasia Traditional Hotel

We were fortunate to have a room with a private terrace with lovely views over the town. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and the sheltered courtyard was a lovely place to eat. We enjoyed watching the moon rise from the cocktail bar, and particular praise goes to Georgios the bartender who plays great music and mixes a mean mojito.

Super convenient location, amazing view and beautifully decorated rooms. The breakfast was delicious with fresh food and drinks. Staff was very polite. We hope they keep their prices reasonable so that we can visit again at some point in the future.

We had the wonderful pleasure of staying in the Two Story, which was absolutely adorable. And it was during a power out, so we got the medieval experience, ha! But after a few hours the lights came on ( freak storm), and just had an amazing time. The breakfast was I think the best one we had in Greece. Wanted to stay longer but had to move on to see more sites. Probably if we were there in warmer weather we would've done a beach day.

Great hôtel, traditional, in a beautiful place. The lady at the reception was welcoming. The great breakfast was a plus. My room was small but nice, with a little terrace. I loved the rocking chair! But the frigde make SO MUCH NOISE, all night.

Stunning location and breakfast was superb. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. He is still talking about it and says he would have been happy staying here for our whole trip! The castle was so cool and the breakfast was one of the best we had in Greece. Stay here, you will not regret it and we will be back!

We loved our 1 night stay. I am so glad we decided to stay on “the rock” versus just visit for a few hours. We were able to walk the rock, have an aperitif overlooking the sea, enjoy our room with a balcony, and savor a great meal outside overlooking the sea. The hotel is nice / you are taken to your room by the front desk staff (note: leave your big suitcases in the car and only take a small bag because you need to walk quite a ways over cobblestone streets). Our room 8 had a lovely balcony and we slept with the windows open with the moonlight streaming in until the winds started in the early morning. It was interesting to see the juxtaposition between the calm seas in the afternoon and the white caps in the morning. I could sit all day and look at the mountains in the distance and the boats coming to the harbor and the sunrise and sunset. October was a great time too visit - not too hot and not a lot of tourists. Highly recommend!

The setting is unbelievable. Probably one of the breathtaking i have seen. Our room was spacious with a terrace facing the sea. The room was clean and cozy with 6 windows 2 facing the ocean. The service was exceptionally excellent and so personal. Especially Helena who was attentive to our needs and requests and really hoped that we enjoy ourselves. Please take into consideration the walk to the gate entrance and to the rooms. Strongly recommended the you announce that you have arrived and wait at the entrance for the porter.

It is a fabulous place. However it is worth noting that the access to the Traditional hotel, though stunning, is exceedingly difficult. I would advise people to travel light , and avoid large suitcases.
Car parking spaces outside the city wall are very limited and you might find yourself parked a long way away!!

Our room here had everything we needed, a comfy bed, powerful shower, air con, a fridge, a sitting area inside, a balcony with a wonderful view, loads of character and privacy. We loved our stay here and spent a an hour each evening watching the sun set from our balcony. We knew about the parking and the situation of the hotel (at the end of a long cobbled street) so no issues there. A great place to get a feeling of Monemvasia. Loved swimming off the rocks at the edge of the island. Breakfast was in a shady courtyard and had a good selection.
