Moni Emvasis Luxury Suites

Family-owned luxury. I wish we could have stayed longer. A large room with a patio with glorious sea views in a walled castle town. What more can one ask for?! Such a special location with personal professional service. Incredible food and huge portions. The best homemade sourdough bread we've ever had. We had breakfast every day and dinner on our last night. Aphrodite and her mom Nektaria make you feel so comfortable you won't want to leave!

Stayed here 2 nights and loved the room and the balcony with a sea view. The staff were helpful . Unfortunately we did not get to experience the full breakfasts because one day we had to leave before it started and the other we were just not that hungry. 9 am is a little late for us. They did give us pastries to go. Be aware that you will be climbing stairs since there is no elevator and the town is very steep and hilly. We did get to eat dinner at the restaurant one night and it was delicious.

I absolutely loved my stay at Moni Emvasis. A beautiful suite in the lower town part of the castle. Ancient, historical, the setting is amazing. I had a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the sea, great for watching sunrise and the fishing boats go out to sea. Breakfast was amazing and I was full all day. This is a beautiful part of Greece with so much to see and do. If you’re going to climb up to the Citadel it’s worth the hike, my tip, go early before it gets too hot. I will definitely be back :)

Comfortable spacious suites with lots of light and windows overlooking the Aegean. Excellent views from the private terrace. Delicious and grand included breakfast. All the amenities you need in your suite. Highly recommend!

We stayed at some incredible stops during our 2 week road-trip through the peloponnese, but Moni Emvasis was our favorite stay! We can't say enough about how incredible the location, room, staff (shoutout Alexandra!), and FOOD was. Make a reservation for dinner, the included breakfast (best we had anywhere) will convince you! I don't think we ever stopped smiling from the moment we arrived. Beautiful, wonderful, luxurious, unforgettable. THANK YOU!

We stayed one night over Spring Break and I can't more highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Our rooms were luxurious - from the ocean view balcony to the bed that enveloped you it was perfect! I especially liked how my children had their own space in the room. The breakfast was so delicious and the owner was so very accommodating. The next time I visit Greece I plan on staying here longer!

Very comfortable beds and very charming stone room. The view from our terrace was amazing and the guy at the desk was very pleasant, smiling and helpful. The hotel is at the far end of the town so it's a long walk if you have heavy luggage. I liked the quite location at the edge of town and they light the ramparts side wall at night. View is stunning.

Great location in the castle walls & very close to the entrance on the right hand side. Excellent view & host! And the breakfast - made to order from the host in your room or on the balcony downstairs. Try the local Greek treats! The suites are cozy with fireplace & very clean and comfortable. Book in advance, you will not be disappointed. Note I suggest to drop your luggage at the entrance of the castle, then park your car. And there is generally a lot of stairs and uphill walking in the area, so bring comfy shoes! It is very unique location, easy day trips by car, and worth it to visit!

We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip in September, what a fabulous location and stunning small independent hotel that is perched up a flight of stairs in the lower town. Once we entered through a door and we were show up to our room on the top floor (4 rooms in total). The room was excellent, spacious, clean and very comfortable with a huge shower and bathroom. However this hotel is ALL about the views from the balconies that are truly stunning. See photos. We ate the hotel restaurant and the dinner was excellent and the dining area is situated on a small private balcony that overlooks the ocean with views that are spectacular. The breakfast was also excellent with a very good choice and lovely views with very good service. Highly recommend and once in a lifetime place to visit. Top Tip - Make sure you drive to the castle entrance on arrival and unload all your luggage, then contact the hotel to help with your luggage while your partner parks the car on the mile long road or at the free car park at the bottom. It’s about a 20 minute walk up from the bottom car park or there is a bus service that charges €1.20.

We are currently staying here for 3 nights and the place is amazing. The rooms are first class and we choose one of the top floor rooms and the views are just amazing.
We ate at the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious.
The breakfast are also delicious and a very good choice.

Couple of top tips..

The parking on the main road is a bit hit and miss, so easier to park in the free car park and get the bus up and down. However it’s an easy walk without luggage.!

The lower town of Monemvasia is lovely but it was so hot during our visit so we went down to the local beach each day.

The walk to the top of the citadel affords amazing views, but it’s not an easy walk and certainly not for everyone.!!
