Plaza Beach Hotel in Naxos Chora

Excellent location. The room is very simple. The shower is horrible, small and the temperature changes all the time. The gym has old equipment and no maintenance. Very expensive for what it offers.

We just spent 3 nights here as a family of four, and it was a decent place to stay. I'll start with the positives. The room for a family was a great size! Love how spacious it was. It has a nice location right on the beach and a beautiful pool area. The breakfast was also very nice with a good selection. It's what I would expect for a Greek hotel breakfast. On our first night, one of the a/c units wasn't working and they were prompt with their response and repair, which we appreciated.

Now for the cons.The beds are hard as rocks. This is literally the hardest mattress I have ever slept on. One weird thing is that housekeeping does not make the beds even when they tidy your room and refresh your sheets. You will find a clean top sheet folded at the foot of your bed for you to put on yourself. I've never encountered this at a hotel and found it so strange that they didn't make the beds.

When we first checked in, there was a large bottle of water in our room and coffee pods, but these were not replaced the next day. All the other hotels I stayed at in Greece provided free water each day, so I was surprised to have to pay for more bottles each day. They reluctantly replenished the coffee pods when we requested them even though they said they are only for the first day. How odd that they have a Nespresso machine, but won't give your more pods! They don't even sell them at the nearby market, so you'd have to get them from the hotel.

Lastly, the beach here is quite windy and you are far away from everything else. We never spent any time at the hotel because it was so windy. What a shame not to enjoy the lovely pool area! I got the feeling it is like that quite a lot here. I had expected us to spend a lot of time on the long beautiful beach here, but instead we sought out beaches with less wind and spent all our time elsewhere since there really isn't anything around other than hotels.

This could be a great hotel for some families, but you'll want to take all of these things into consideration when deciding if it's the right fit for you.
