Our stay at Plaza Beach Hotel in Naxos was far from the idyllic experience we had anticipated. Despite high expectations fueled by glowing reviews on Google and TripAdvisor, our time at this resort was marred by several significant issues.

While the location of the resort, just across the street from a beautiful and pristine beach, was undeniably stunning, the same could not be said for our overall experience. The breakfast, touted as a highlight by many reviewers, failed to impress us, leaving us disappointed and unsatisfied.

However, the most distressing aspect of our stay was the discovery of a cockroach infestation in our room's washroom. As a pregnant guest, I was particularly horrified by the presence of baby cockroaches on the washroom floor, causing immense disgust and discomfort. We promptly reported the issue to the front desk, where we encountered a mix of responses.

While the staff member we initially spoke to was understanding and helpful, the onsite manager's behavior was deeply disappointing. Despite being aware of our complaint, she refused to come out of her office and address the situation personally, leaving us feeling abandoned and unsupported. This lack of accountability and leadership on the part of the manager was a true reflection of the poor management of the property.

Fortunately, the gentleman at the front desk offered us another room for the night and came to our room to assess the situation, agreeing that such an infestation should not be happening. However, despite his efforts, I found it impossible to sleep all night, consumed by thoughts of the infestation. In the morning, we sought assistance from guest services at the front desk in hopes of finding a resolution to our ordeal. The lady we spoke to at the front desk was super understanding and kind.

Furthermore, the hotel's location was inconveniently far from most restaurants and the busier parts of the area, adding to our dissatisfaction with our stay.

Our experience at Plaza Beach Hotel was so disheartening that we made the decision to cut our trip short and filed a complaint with Expedia to seek resolution. While getting a refund and leaving the resort was the best course of action for us, the memories of our stay continue to evoke feelings of disgust and disappointment. We sincerely hope that the management of Plaza Beach Hotel takes steps to address these issues and improve the overall guest experience in the future.
