Just returned from a most enjoyable two week holiday at Kalypso. A wonderful location for anyone who loves walking and relaxing in the expansive hotel grounds and enjoying local Greek culture. Great experience. Kalypso is in a wonderful location. The hotel is well maintained. The room was spacious and clean. The meals are in a buffet with many choices. The pool is large with sea water. Staff very helpful. Will definitely go back next summer.

Stunning location but isolated. Plakias a €8 taxi ride[lovely village] Comfy beds but room/bathroom/balcony need updating/no kettle etc/ Minimal evening entertainment/no yoga or aquarobics. I should have written this review long ago, as I stayed in the hotel in August 2023. My bad for not doing so but I think it's still due. I was initially sceptic due to the abysmal reviews on Booking, but still decided to give it a try due to the crazy low price and, above all, the fantastic position. It was beyond my expectations. Of course, you can't expect a Maldivian resort, but it would be ridiculous...

The Breakfast was exceptionally good, with a nice atmosphere plenty of choices and very friendly staff from reception to breakfast. The surrounding is very quiet and pleasent, the town is very friendly with plenty of choices from cafes to restaurants with an amazing price/value. The beds were very comfy and due to the quiet environment sleeping was a bliss.

We had a bit of an issue checking in when we were originally put in the wrong room, but it worked out well and we ended up with an upgrade. Really appreciate the help of receptionist Zhoi -- a charming and helpful professional.

Small hotel in the center of Plakias with a nice pool and excellent breakfast! The staff is friendly, rooms are small but always clean. I would recommend this hotel for pairs, friends or single travellers.

We stayed in July at the Belvedere apartments in Plakias , Crete , I was compelled to write a review because of the amazing standard of service we received. Great spacious apartment cleaned spotlessly every day by Esmeralda, the reception happy young lady was so helpful and eager to please… Evgenia brought our high-quality breakfast with enthusiasm and efficiency… walking distance from the extended beach and all amenities.. we highly recommend it!

Great stay at Belvedere again. The rooms are s great size and very clean. Has everything we need.. small kitchen.. sitting area.. comfortable bed. The staff are always fantastic... very helpful. Wonderful Apart-Hotel in a great location for exploring this part of Southern Crete. Very Welcoming and lovely staff who always made us Welcome with a Special mention to the Service maid who was Exceptional with her duties and always had a smile ! You may wonder why it has taken me so long to write a review on The Belvedere Apartments and Spa. ? We have personal reasons for not writing sooner but hope to remedy that now by writing a review on this property. The Belvedere has the highest standards possible . The room with seaview and the shower was nice and clean. The staff was professional. But the breakfast was not very good arranged. What a waste to not have as a buffé!

Nice venue and great location. Hotel is in almost front of the beach (Main Street is between hotel and beach). sea view rooms have a picturesque view. Definitely would stay again to that hotel. Covid protocols are applied 100%. Box for garbages is missing in the room.

We just stayed in Plakias for a few days and we ate our / lunch. dinner.. The food was really great ( sea bream and lumb.. octopus it was very good.. Stuff was kind and attentive and knew English very well. Thank you so much.

Beautiful clean hotel with good proximity to Plakias and plenty of free parking. The breakfast buffet has plenty of options with different types of eggs, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh vegetables, Greek yogurt with many add-ins, cereal, and numerous pastry options, fresh juices, and an espresso machine. We are very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and we will stay again if we’re back in the area.

Great location within resort. Rooms are well decorated and equipped. The beds are enormous and very comfortable. Rooms are cleaned every day and bedding and towels changed every 3 days. Family run to a very high standard. Excellent breakfast every day with lots of choice.

I stayed at this hotel three times and found it great. Central location. Very clean, comfortable rooms. The staff tries hard and helps with any issues. Breakfast buffet was very good, I could find everything I wanted. Plakias is a beautiful place with plenty outstanding beaches and walking routes nearby. If I return to Plakia, I’ll book this hotel again for sure!

We spent 10 wonderful days in this charming and peaceful hotel. Furniture is made of beautiful wood which is relaxing! Swimming pool has 1 area for children and 1 area to swim. Beach and shops are only 150 meters away. Staff is so kind! Thanks. Will come back!

The most amazing hotel in Plakias! A true gem! Built in 2018 the rooms still have a “new feeling” with modern decor in white and light wood colours! The rooms and spotless and the staff are super friendly. The pictures on their site are not deceiving. Would definitely come back to this place! 5* all the way!

A true boutique hotel run by wonderful people. The facilities are brand new. Beautiful design. The breakfast is fresh and homemade with local products. Everything is bright white and clean. The welcome makes you feel like home. Plakias area is a great choice as there is everything one may need in walking distance. There are beautiful beaches every mile, both east and west. Very good food, both breakfast and dinner - all buffet with extensive choices. Comfy beds. Helpful reception staff. Pool looked good but we didn’t use. Very close to beach and town / promenade (new and looks good). Whole hotel was smart, very clean. The requested walk-in shower was shower over bath. The travel advisor was really helpful, but not quite up to date on the accessibility of attractions...

A perfect location for families, as the beaches are within 200 m distance. Great breakfast and dinner buffet, which offers for all tasts great greek and continental food. Very kind waiters and the whole hotel team fullfill nearly all wishes.
