Absolutely beautiful trip! We went for a week 23rd Sept- 1st October and had the most amazing time. The scenery is beautiful, 3 pools as well as the stunning beach area. I am gonna have to give 4 stars The hotel, rooms could do with an update yes, However the location and service is superb, For all who think of visiting, Car rental is a must. The hotel is very isolated and extremely remote but if you have a car it's fine. Happy holidays

We stayed at Calypso Hotel for 1 night at June. The location is incredible and the people that work there very friendly and willing to help! The owner as well is very kind! The options for food were many and the room we stayed was very nice and satisfying. The place has everything you need, so it's ideal for a family with kids, as well as for a couple! It is a nice hotel with several pools. The breakfast is good too and the location is very exclusive. But it needs to have better maintenance and cleaning in the outdoor areas. I didn’t have wifi nor signal in my room :( this is good for disconnecting in holidays but maybe a big problem for others.

We spent 10 wonderful days in this charming and peaceful hotel. Furniture is made of beautiful wood which is relaxing! Swimming pool has 1 area for children and 1 area to swim. Beach and shops are only 150 meters away. Staff is so kind! Thanks. Will come back!

The most amazing hotel in Plakias! A true gem! Built in 2018 the rooms still have a “new feeling” with modern decor in white and light wood colours! The rooms and spotless and the staff are super friendly. The pictures on their site are not deceiving. Would definitely come back to this place! 5* all the way!

The room with seaview and the shower was nice and clean. The staff was professional. But the breakfast was not very good arranged. What a waste to not have as a buffé!

Nice venue and great location. Hotel is in almost front of the beach (Main Street is between hotel and beach). sea view rooms have a picturesque view. Definitely would stay again to that hotel. Covid protocols are applied 100%. Box for garbages is missing in the room.

We’ve stayed one week at Manolis. We loved it. The owner is a very honest person. He doesn’t talk much but he clearly appreciated the fact that we were happy guests. The room was really nice and well equipped. To pool is nice, not very big but does its work. The girl who works at the reception has been very kind and helpful, and she speaks an amazing english.

The Breakfast was exceptionally good, with a nice atmosphere plenty of choices and very friendly staff from reception to breakfast. The surrounding is very quiet and pleasent, the town is very friendly with plenty of choices from cafes to restaurants with an amazing price/value. The beds were very comfy and due to the quiet environment sleeping was a bliss.

The appartement was really nice and clean. Hospitable people. The location was perfect as there is beach in 2 min and restaurants, cafes, shops in 7min by foot.

Great location opposite the beach. The swimming pools in the central courtyard area also make these apartments perfect for kids. I can See the beach from my room. I walk around 150 I guess to the beach. The staff is so friendly and kind. Didn't have had such a welcoming a long time. Seems to be family business. For a 2 star hotel everything is good here. Large balcony, clean rooms, view of the sea, quiet location, continental breakfast included per person. 4 slices of bread, 2x butter, 2x jam, 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of sausage, 1 bowl with large yoghurt and honey, 1 thermos flask of hot water, Nest coffee and Lipton tea for infusion. Room is small, balcony with sea view. The mattress and pillow were too hard for my sleeping conditions. I would prefer it to be softer. Otherwise good. Breakfast offer is the same every day. Ideal for everyone who prefers quiet holidays, very familiar, friendly. Terrace with sea views in the room as well as on the shared breakfast terrace. Breakfast with tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, sausage, cheese, jam, tomatoes, yogurt with honey was perfect for us.

The Lofos Hotel is a well-kept, medium-sized Greek family hotel, built in 1986 and excellently managed by the Zampetakis family. The personal address and reference name is capitalized here. This was an unexpected find in a very quiet city on the south shore of Crete. The rooms are big and very clean. Strong wifi. Great view. A very nice breakfast and the staff are amazing people. They also have a small private beach with trees where u can hide during noon. Very quiet place and a plethora of taverns where you can eat and watch the sunset nearby. They also have parking available.

Very beautiful and cozy hotel by The sea. Our room was spacious and brand new with so nice colors and a nice balcony looking at the yard with the olive trees and the sea towards the sunset. The people were very friendly and hostile, everything so professional. Couldn’t ask for more from a place to have quiet and peace for my holidays.

We stayed for two weeks at this lovely hotel in the corner of Plakias. Very quiet, great breakfast and very friendly and helpfull owners and servicepersonal. The architecture of the hotel is very beautiful with all the stairs and different angles. Only the Wifi in our room was poor, because our room was in the far east. The owners said they would repair that.

The location is the best and the people who run the place are warm and real. Also, it seems like a secret, but the food here is world-class farm to table...easily the best in all of Plakias.

It's been years since I've been here. I have a relative who used to frequently go to this hotel for her birthday. The hiking right next to the hotel up next to the cliff overlooking the bay was amazing and a sensation I don't think I will ever forget.

The hotel is spotless with very good facilities in the rooms. The area is very good, centrally, next to shops and supermarkets. The sea is a few meters away. Ideal for a few days vacation

Nice room, close to the harbour. A bit noisy and the shower is absolutely horrible (but they plan do redo them this year) you can park in front of the hotel. Good wifi, don't forget to ask the password during your check-in

Were there in summer 2019. The hotel is located on a steep road about 50m above the rest of the town, with a beautiful view of the town and the mountains. After 3 minutes you are already on a beautiful beach and have various shops and numerous great restaurants nearby. Jannis, the owner, gave us a very friendly welcome. If you like it quiet and relaxed, you should definitely go on holiday here. The owners Janni and Irini are very nice hosts and we felt very comfortable. The only thing that may have been mentioned is for people who are hard at work, It is less suitable because the access is a bit cumbersome, but only a small piece. But for everyone else highly recommended.

First time I make a telephone reservation without asking for a financial commitment from the owner of the accommodation!! Just barely off the main strip, this hotel was a nice stay for us. So easy to walk down to the strip to find a bite to eat or just go for a stroll through town. The staff was friendly and helpful. As concerns the cleanliness, the hotel is spotless. But, by the photos I hadn't realise that it was an old renovated hotel as well as I was expecting bigger rooms.

This review is for the restaurant. We ate here a few days ago, and I ordered a dish that was absolutely not my taste when it came. Not that it was ill prepared, just a funny taste about it which I didn't like. The very friendly owner who brought us a free dessert of lovely chocolate cake, and the bill, told us she had skipped my dish, because I didn't like it, which she of course absolutely did not...

I spent 3 nights in Sofia Hotel and my experience were extraordinary. I have been many times in 5 stars and I can say that the service in Sofia Hotel is at the level of a 5 stars! The bed was very comfortable! I highly recommend this hotel!

The service was from Ross Holiday! Was some overdue maintenance. The apartment was wonderfully spacious and was kept neat and clean by friendly ladies! Top! Distance to the village was a bit disappointing.

Rooms look fine, shame it has nothing Greek and it is on busy road that is sometimes used as a race track. Not to mention the mopeds with open exhausts. Is very convenient, 12 minutes walk to the beach and with fifteen minutes you are in the village.

Great hotel. Basic furnishings, but everything you need is there. Is kept clean and lots of privacy. Shame about the innerspring mattresses. They are really bad for your back and hips. But when we made a comment about it, we immediately got toppers about the mattress. Good bakery across the street, so fresh bread every day. Supermarket also close by.
