Firstly, disregard anyones reviews with 3⭐ or less as they are whiney Karens, unfortunate for their loved ones. For the price this place is unreal with some of the best snorkeling 🤿, scuba and sunrise/sunsets imaginable

Beautiful little hikes with an amazing beach one direction, and beach village the other, both only 7mins away. Staff was great, you can see everyone including pool maintenance and cleaners are happy with their jobs

I can't even start to describe how magnificent the landscape and the sea are, or the fact of sunbathing on the cliffs almost alone, the swimming pool from which you dominate the cost and the promenade in the mountains above

We spend 3 nights in Kalypso and the experience of having such a beautiful nature around was breathtaking. Rooms clean, spacious with balcony

The location is really beautiful and demonstrates all the wilderness of the south Crete as well as that of the open Mediterranean Sea

Speaking with the staff many of the minor issues aforementioned in previous reviews will be rectified this winter

Hard to say where to start: the people working in the hotel were extremely helpful and nice; there are several comfortable beaches in walking distance; the view from the balcony at the seas and sky has no comparison; the breakfast was plentiful and tasty

A place above my expectations: spectacular view, spacious room and close to the center full of taverns. Breakfast among the plants with sea view and of excellent quality. I will definitely be back for more days

Amazing hotel on the west side of Plakias, close to the center, opposite the beach with a stunning view of the Libyan Sea. Spacious and spotlessly clean rooms make the stay at the hotel enjoyable

We spent 8 days in this wonderful hotel - tip: the superior room with sea view has a large terrace with a fantastic sea view or panoramic view of the bay

We were visiting Plakias for the first time, our requirements were simple, a hotel close to the beach, a clean room with a sea view and a comfortable bed. The Alianthos delivered all this and more

The hotel is perfectly positioned just across the road from the sea. Our room was light and airy, with plenty of storage space. The bed was large and comfortable

With recent renovations including the seaside restaurant right by the wonderful Plakias beach it just gets even better

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge variety of food for every taste, all replaced frequently. The crowning glory however has to be the ever smiling staff and management team, always friendly and always helpful

The wonderful breakfast they serve in the morning really sets you up for a day exploring this lovely part of Crete. In the coming days the hotel taverna right on the beach will also be open as the weather hots up

I've just returned from a wonderful stay at the Alianthos Beach Hotel/Anthos Apartments. I have visited this family run hotel a number of times over the past 15 years and it never disappoints

Great place for breakfast, we had a two day stopover and had breakfast there each morning. Such friendly people. Nothing was too much. I will visit you again...soon.

Rooms are well decorated and equipped. The beds are enormous and very comfortable. Rooms are cleaned every day and bedding and towels changed every 3 days. Family run to a very high standard

We had a wonderful time and can recommend the Lofos Hotel! Furthermore, the south coast of Crete is much more beautiful and unspoiled than the north. The enchanting town of Rethymnon can be reached in about 40 minutes

Room is small, balcony with sea view. The mattress and pillow were too hard for my sleeping conditions. I would prefer it to be softer. Breakfast offer is the same every day

The hotel is in a quiet location with a stunning view. A very friendly, family-run hotel. The rooms are functionally furnished and extremely clean. The well-kept village of Plakias is a 5-minute walk away

The Hotel Lofos is beautifully located and very clean. The family is extremely friendly and accommodating. Anyone who wants to have an original, traditional Greek experience is in good hands here

For a 2 star hotel everything is good here. Large balcony, clean rooms, view of the sea, quiet location, continental breakfast included per person

Morning I didn't ate the sausage and they realised it and the other day they put some extra cheese for me on my plates. I can recommend this place to whom are looking for a relaxing place

Every day he speaks to all of his guests, and every day he taught us something Greek (at least tried to). We are left with a 2 star hotel. Air conditioning and a refrigerator are available at an additional cost

The other 1 star ratings are just plain bold and completely out of place. Again, only your own inability to properly inform yourself in advance (parking spaces, facilities, location) at the hotel is left out

The only thing that may have been mentioned is for people who are hard at work, It is less suitable because the access is a bit cumbersome, but only a small piece. But for everyone else highly recommended

After 3 minutes you are already on a beautiful beach and have various shops and numerous great restaurants nearby. Jannis, the owner, gave us a very friendly welcome

If you like it quiet and relaxed, you should definitely go on holiday here. The owners Janni and Irini are very nice hosts and we felt very comfortable

We had a very nice time in the bay of plakias. As it is on the south side of crete, there are way less tourists here and it seems like a more authentic experience compared to the large beach resorts at the north side

There is still lots of things to do: 🏖 Perfect beach (2mins walking, sunbeds + umbrella ~5€/day, plenty of bars…) ⛰ small caves and tunnels right next to the hotel 🍽 many good restaurants (check out elia in sellia) 🌴 preveli palm beach / canyon nearby 🚗 rental car recommended to get to chania, rethmno etc

One of the best experiences of our holiday! This is old-fashioned hospitality like it is written in the book. We absolutely loved our stay there! Friendly staff, good service and a fantastic location!

Very beautiful and cozy hotel by The sea. Our room was spacious and brand new with so nice colors and a nice balcony looking at the yard with the olive trees and the sea towards the sunset

The rooms are simple but have everything you need and feel very authentic with their colourful doors and windows. The breakfast is served on the beautiful terrace under olive trees with a beautiful view of the bay

The architecture of the hotel is very beautiful with all the stairs and different angles. Only the Wifi in our room was poor, because our room was in the far east. The owners said they would repair that

Breakfast at Livikon a treat as usual. Ways make time to have at least one Breakfast here when we stay in Plakias. A real treat

The Beach in front with the Umbrellas and Sunbeds that are included are also perfect. Plakias village is a small and relaxing village to enjoy. Supermarket is in Walking Distance

Also, while the food was decent, there is room for improvement in variety and taste. Still, overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back!

The only thing we missed was some evening entertainment – we couldn’t find an entertainment team or any organized activities during our stay

The hotel has a great location in the city center, surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. The view from the window is beautiful, overlooking the mountainous landscape

For any problem, a solution is foundation. Food (breakfast and dinner) is very tasty. Many thanks to the kitchen team. We felt at home from the first day. We enjoyed the greek music nights every week

Very good food, both breakfast and dinner - all buffet with extensive choices. Pool looked good but we didn’t use. Very close to beach and town / promenade (new and looks good). Whole hotel was smart, very clean

The requested walk-in shower was shower over bath. The travel advisor was really helpful, but not quite up to date on the accessibility of attractions/ locations for guest with reduced mobility

The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The wifi could perhaps be a little stronger. The view tops everything off though

Compared to the lady visita, this Place gas reslly improved, the breakfast Is now satisfying, the air conditioned works perfectly, the owners are always nice although the man dorsn't speak a Word of English, nice location front the Sea, we' ll sure come back

They also have a small private beach with trees where u can hide during noon. Very quiet place and a plethora of taverns where you can eat and watch the sunset nearby. They also have parking available

The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly

The room was really nice and well equipped. To pool is nice, not very big but does its work. The girl who works at the reception has been very kind and helpful, and she speaks an amazing english.

The pool and garden are very well maintained. Plakias offers plenty of restaurants and there is a lot of activity, but Manolis Appartements are situated just great so it is always quiet

The appartement we stayed in was clean, spacious, with cooking facilities if needed. We also took the breakfast every day: eggs, fresh orange juice, fresh bread, not too much food

We’ve stayed one week at Manolis. The owner is a very honest person. He doesn’t talk much but he clearly appreciated the fact that we were happy guests

When we come back to Crete, we will stay here agian

We stayed in July at the Belvedere apartments in Plakias , Crete , I was compelled to write a review because of the amazing standard of service we received. From the moment we arrived the level of service was excellent

We would highly recommended the Belvedere as probably one of the friendliest and most professional hotel apartments we have ever stayed in. Great location for the beach and restaurants

Impeccably clean rooms and the attention to detail was outstanding. The receptionist Elda has to be one of the happiest people we have ever encountered and nothing was too much trouble

The breakfast service by Evginia in our room each day was beautifully served and the choice was endless. Compliments to the chef for the daily salads and sweet treats that appeared

The rooms are s great size and very clean. The staff are always fantastic. A little bit back from the beach but it's just short 100m walk. Nice beaches s short drive away as well

First time I've stayed here, but I've been to Plakias many times. Stella has it's regulars and it's easy to see why. Basic accommodation but lovingly cared for. Would certainly think of using Stella again

Very nice small hotel. Friendly host and clean room. Some furniture was a little bit tired but refrigerator and kettle were fine.

For us Studio Stella is the place to stay in Plakias. Nice rooms including a kitchen and balcony. But mostly we feel there the welcoming warmth of the owners. This makes us keep coming back.

Marcos and the delightful Evi..... I love them both. Such a nice couple and so welcoming. We will be back to stay with you. No fuss no frills, just a nice place to stay with honest people.
