Hard to say where to start: the people working in the hotel were extremely helpful and nice; there are several comfortable beaches in walking distance; the view from the balcony at the seas and sky has no comparison; the breakfast was plentiful and tasty

Amazing hotel on the west side of Plakias, close to the center, opposite the beach with a stunning view of the Libyan Sea. Spacious and spotlessly clean rooms make the stay at the hotel enjoyable

A place above my expectations: spectacular view, spacious room and close to the center full of taverns. Breakfast among the plants with sea view and of excellent quality. I will definitely be back for more days

Horizon Beach Hotel - Harry & Liz Aug 2023 Just come back from 10 days at Horizon Beach Hotel. The property was clean and appropriately fitted out for a three star hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel is a short walk from the centre of the resort. There are ample car parking space on-site. Overall I thought the Horizon Beach Hotel offered good value for money

Small hotel in the center of Plakias with a nice pool and excellent breakfast! The staff is friendly, rooms are small but always clean. I would recommend this hotel for pairs, friends or single travellers.

Very good breakfast, quality beds, very friendly staff, nice little town - but windy. So rent a car is almost a must to have a pleasant holiday. From Plakias there is also a boat to some southern beaches.

Great experience, such nice people and good location. 2 minutes to go to beach, nice pool and clean rooms.

The hotel staff is very polite and attentive. The hotel is very clean. The location of the hotel is very good, close to the beach. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is more than enough. I definitely recommend it.

Awesome location ! 1 minute from the beach and a good place to start a hike the opposite way. The service and staff was 🤩 I felt like I was talking to family. The rooms had everything included. Perfect place.

We were visiting Plakias for the first time, our requirements were simple, a hotel close to the beach, a clean room with a sea view and a comfortable bed. The Alianthos delivered all this and more

With recent renovations including the seaside restaurant right by the wonderful Plakias beach it just gets even better

The wonderful breakfast they serve in the morning really sets you up for a day exploring this lovely part of Crete. In the coming days the hotel taverna right on the beach will also be open as the weather hots up

I've just returned from a wonderful stay at the Alianthos Beach Hotel/Anthos Apartments. I have visited this family run hotel a number of times over the past 15 years and it never disappoints

The public areas and facilities including the pool are very comfortable and accommodating

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge variety of food for every taste, all replaced frequently. The crowning glory however has to be the ever smiling staff and management team, always friendly and always helpful

Our room was clean, spacious, and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The pool area was lovely and the beach just a short walk away

The Beach in front with the Umbrellas and Sunbeds that are included are also perfect. Plakias village is a small and relaxing village to enjoy. Supermarket is in Walking Distance

The only downside I noticed was the lack of entertainment. Unlike some nearby hotels that offered live music, poolside zumba, and other fun activities, Plakias Resort didn’t have an entertainment team or organized events

The beach nearby is beautiful, and the beach bar is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view with a drink in hand. Everything felt peaceful and easygoing, ideal for a relaxing holiday

We are having a wonderfull time in out Studio. Thank you for being so friendly! The Gardens and the whole Hotelarea are so clean and full of flowers I always look around and I love it

Also, while the food was decent, there is room for improvement in variety and taste. Still, overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back!

The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The wifi could perhaps be a little stronger. The view tops everything off though

They also have a small private beach with trees where u can hide during noon. Very quiet place and a plethora of taverns where you can eat and watch the sunset nearby. They also have parking available

Compared to the lady visita, this Place gas reslly improved, the breakfast Is now satisfying, the air conditioned works perfectly, the owners are always nice although the man dorsn't speak a Word of English, nice location front the Sea, we' ll sure come back

The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly

Very beautiful and cozy hotel by The sea. Our room was spacious and brand new with so nice colors and a nice balcony looking at the yard with the olive trees and the sea towards the sunset

It’s a really lovely hotel, situated at the end of Plakias but within easy walking distance (about 10min). The nicest part of the beach with beach cafés is 3min away

They serve breakfast on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and delicious dinners are available as well. Clean rooms and friendly staff as well

Amazing location because it is right on the beach and in a quiet part of Plakias away from the traffic noise and other bars and clubs. This is a family hotel with clean rooms and good food.

The room are very nice , the design is cozi and modern , the staff is nice and very professional, helping always. We arrived in the middle of the night and they left instructions for us, key, water

The resort is at the end of the road so it s quiet , the view from our room was great , the food is very good. There s a village 12 minutes walk , the beach is 5 minutes walk

Beautiful little hikes with an amazing beach one direction, and beach village the other, both only 7mins away. Staff was great, you can see everyone including pool maintenance and cleaners are happy with their jobs

Firstly, disregard anyones reviews with 3⭐ or less as they are whiney Karens, unfortunate for their loved ones. For the price this place is unreal with some of the best snorkeling 🤿, scuba and sunrise/sunsets imaginable

I am a repeat visitor and the hotel had very welcome additional massage service this year, provided by a trained medical doctor called Eleni who also has qualifications in massage

We spend 3 nights in Kalypso and the experience of having such a beautiful nature around was breathtaking. Rooms clean, spacious with balcony

Speaking with the staff many of the minor issues aforementioned in previous reviews will be rectified this winter

We stayed at the Louise apartment. Everything was perfect and the unobstructed sea view from the large balcony was spectacular

We also very much appreciate that Thalassa apartments allows pets, and we could have our pet friends, Jolene and Navajo with us. Thank you very much for the hospitality

We could hear the waves at night, which was very relaxing, and we could stare at the stars (half balcony was roofless, I guess for this reason)

We spent 10 wonderful days in this charming and peaceful hotel. Furniture is made of beautiful wood which is relaxing! Swimming pool has 1 area for children and 1 area to swim. Beach and shops are only 150 meters away

Plakias area is a great choice as there is everything one may need in walking distance. There are beautiful beaches every mile, both east and west. Thank you! Cant wait till next time !

The most amazing hotel in Plakias! A true gem! Built in 2018 the rooms still have a “new feeling” with modern decor in white and light wood colours! The rooms and spotless and the staff are super friendly

A true boutique hotel run by wonderful people. The breakfast is fresh and homemade with local products. Everything is bright white and clean. The welcome makes you feel like home

The pictures on their site are not deceiving. Would definitely come back to this place! 5* all the way!
