The beach area is stunning, with a lovely cove to have a swim in the sea

The main pool was lively, and the pool bar served all-inclusive drinks throughout the day until 7 pm. The scenery is amazing with lots of nice walks available, if you are prepared for a bit of a hike

A taxi to Plakias costs 8 euros and there is a great beach with some nice little shops, lovely bars and restaurants for variety. Negatives - This hotel is not a spa hotel

The beach bar is not included in the all-inclusive package and sun beds, drinks etc are extra - I dont think all of these things are made clear at the time of booking

The staff were lovely and couldn't fault their service. When we asked for extra clean towels, they were provided by housekeeping immediately. Our room was cleaned daily and was spacious enough for 4 people

In conclusion, we had a very nice relaxing week's stay at Kalypso, just be prepared that all-inclusive is limited and not what you automatically think it's going to be - take extra cash!

Hard to say where to start: the people working in the hotel were extremely helpful and nice; there are several comfortable beaches in walking distance; the view from the balcony at the seas and sky has no comparison; the breakfast was plentiful and tasty

Amazing hotel on the west side of Plakias, close to the center, opposite the beach with a stunning view of the Libyan Sea. Spacious and spotlessly clean rooms make the stay at the hotel enjoyable

A place above my expectations: spectacular view, spacious room and close to the center full of taverns. Breakfast among the plants with sea view and of excellent quality. I will definitely be back for more days

Horizon Beach Hotel - Harry & Liz Aug 2023 Just come back from 10 days at Horizon Beach Hotel. The property was clean and appropriately fitted out for a three star hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel is a short walk from the centre of the resort. There are ample car parking space on-site. Overall I thought the Horizon Beach Hotel offered good value for money

We were visiting Plakias for the first time, our requirements were simple, a hotel close to the beach, a clean room with a sea view and a comfortable bed. The Alianthos delivered all this and more

With recent renovations including the seaside restaurant right by the wonderful Plakias beach it just gets even better

The wonderful breakfast they serve in the morning really sets you up for a day exploring this lovely part of Crete. In the coming days the hotel taverna right on the beach will also be open as the weather hots up

I've just returned from a wonderful stay at the Alianthos Beach Hotel/Anthos Apartments. I have visited this family run hotel a number of times over the past 15 years and it never disappoints

The public areas and facilities including the pool are very comfortable and accommodating

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge variety of food for every taste, all replaced frequently. The crowning glory however has to be the ever smiling staff and management team, always friendly and always helpful

Great place for breakfast, we had a two day stopover and had breakfast there each morning. Such friendly people. Nothing was too much. I will visit you again...soon.

We had a very nice time in the bay of plakias. As it is on the south side of crete, there are way less tourists here and it seems like a more authentic experience compared to the large beach resorts at the north side

There is still lots of things to do: 🏖 Perfect beach (2mins walking, sunbeds + umbrella ~5€/day, plenty of bars…) ⛰ small caves and tunnels right next to the hotel 🍽 many good restaurants (check out elia in sellia) 🌴 preveli palm beach / canyon nearby 🚗 rental car recommended to get to chania, rethmno etc

Yangos and his team really made us feel at home! The hotel is perfectly located at the end of the bay and most rooms have a nice view over the beach

Very beautiful and cozy hotel by The sea. Our room was spacious and brand new with so nice colors and a nice balcony looking at the yard with the olive trees and the sea towards the sunset

Small hotel in the center of Plakias with a nice pool and excellent breakfast! The staff is friendly, rooms are small but always clean. I would recommend this hotel for pairs, friends or single travellers.

Very good breakfast, quality beds, very friendly staff, nice little town - but windy. So rent a car is almost a must to have a pleasant holiday. From Plakias there is also a boat to some southern beaches.

Awesome location ! 1 minute from the beach and a good place to start a hike the opposite way. The service and staff was 🤩 I felt like I was talking to family. The rooms had everything included. Perfect place.

As the hotel is kid-friendly they provide a big pools where most of the kid attractions are(table-tennis, children playground, grass field, paddle court, and probably more) for people without kids there are many pools surrounding the facility that provide calmness and enough sun for sunbathing

Also there are many nice Beachbars and Tavernas here

The Beach in front with the Umbrellas and Sunbeds that are included are also perfect. Plakias village is a small and relaxing village to enjoy. Supermarket is in Walking Distance

Rooms are well worth the price and the best part is proximity to the fabulous Plakias beach. Just a short walk. Town is within walking distance and many grocery markets and restaurants.

Wonderfully quiet, just outside Plakias, yet so in the village and beach. Located on a hill, car is handy. Bakker 2 minutes walk

Apartments are incredibly beautiful and clean. Built in a modern style. Kitchen is fully equipped. The garden is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Round pool, clean. View of the bay is unique.

Nice studio, big enough for 2 people. Very neat bathroom, small balcony with seating.

Is very convenient, 12 minutes walk to the beach and with fifteen minutes you are in the village

The service was from Ross Holiday! Was some overdue maintenance. The apartment was wonderfully spacious and was kept neat and clean by friendly ladies! Top! Distance to the village was a bit disappointing.

Basic furnishings, but everything you need is there. Is kept clean and lots of privacy. Shame about the innerspring mattresses. They are really bad for your back and hips

The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The wifi could perhaps be a little stronger. The view tops everything off though

They also have a small private beach with trees where u can hide during noon. Very quiet place and a plethora of taverns where you can eat and watch the sunset nearby. They also have parking available

Compared to the lady visita, this Place gas reslly improved, the breakfast Is now satisfying, the air conditioned works perfectly, the owners are always nice although the man dorsn't speak a Word of English, nice location front the Sea, we' ll sure come back

The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly
