Even the food was fine, while the only *very* bad thing was the house wine included in the all inclusive. The quality/price ratio is incredibly good - our bedroom even had a great view on the sea

At the restaurant food was OK, some days were better than others, a good variety of drinks to go with breakfast, lunch and dinner, which are all included until 10pm

The hotel was quite quiet; the May weather was good apart from one day of heavy rain and a most unexpected Sahara sand storm! Staff always welcoming and very acceptable meals with a distinctive Mediterranean flavour Asked for and got my favourite room There is now Wi-fi in all the rooms Bedroom cleaning service was daily and excellent Had a special treat… a massage by Eleni

The staff were lovely and couldn't fault their service. When we asked for extra clean towels, they were provided by housekeeping immediately. Our room was cleaned daily and was spacious enough for 4 people

The main pool was lively, and the pool bar served all-inclusive drinks throughout the day until 7 pm. The scenery is amazing with lots of nice walks available, if you are prepared for a bit of a hike

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge variety of food for every taste, all replaced frequently. The crowning glory however has to be the ever smiling staff and management team, always friendly and always helpful

The wonderful breakfast they serve in the morning really sets you up for a day exploring this lovely part of Crete. In the coming days the hotel taverna right on the beach will also be open as the weather hots up

I've just returned from a wonderful stay at the Alianthos Beach Hotel/Anthos Apartments. I have visited this family run hotel a number of times over the past 15 years and it never disappoints

Plakias is not a party resort, but there are plenty of bars and tavernas all along the lovely promenade, providing a great evening out

Our transfers organised by the hotel were smooth. We will definitely return and would recommend this hotel and the resort of Plakias

We spent 10 wonderful days in this charming and peaceful hotel. Furniture is made of beautiful wood which is relaxing! Swimming pool has 1 area for children and 1 area to swim. Beach and shops are only 150 meters away

In September, the pool area didn't seem very popular. Very polite and helpful staff. It's best if you have a car to travel around. The hotel is situated on the hill, in Violi Charaki, in the outskirts of Rethymno

We stayed there October 2016 We were treated so well - we got nice rooms And I was happy to talk to the crew. Everything was crisp and clean - but the breakfast was very, very modest Standard. The room was wonderful

The hotel is situated in a quiet holiday houses area. The room was large enough and cleaned daily. Linen and towels were changed on the fourth day. Breakfast was decent, just ok

The trip on foot to/from the old town takes about one hour. As a compensation the view from the road is magnificent

La Mer Resort & Spa was truly one of best places I’ve been to! The staff and facilities were fantastic & the best part was the spa and massages - Maria, Anna & Georgia was amazing! So glad we chose this resort for our first time in Crete

The hotel was fully booked but as it is a quiet small and comfy hotel it doesn't feel crowed. You have enjoy space and u can really enjoy it to the fullest. Sometimes it also feels like a private little beach

The Bar at the beach is the nicest place for a Cappuccino prepared by Marianna who always has a smile for her guests :-)

Wonderful Hospitality Apologies for the late review, but I just had to share what an incredible experience we had during our stay in Crete last October! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the friendly staff

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, comfy beds, great staff and it's on the sea! The beach nearby is pebbly and it's a 25 minute walk to the old town - not a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but the hotel itself more than makes up for that!

Restaurant was top tier, food was great, service was great, seafood moussaka not so much, order anything else, you will thank me for it, will stay here again next year

We had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight, so the staff packed us a nice breakfast the night before and left it in the mini fridge in our room for us

The location is a bit far from Old town Rethymno a 30 minute walk but the local bus, walk or taxi will get you there fast. The upside is you are on the beach and have loungers and a semi private beach at your disposal

Every morning, we lived the ‘breakfast with orange juice on the balcony’ cliché, and we loved it! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the place well-kept, and since it’s a smaller building, it felt cozy and never crowded

The beach access was perfect, with our own sunbeds that were always well-maintained. A real hidden gem! Great location with easy access to beautiful Rethymno, plus parking by the lifeguard tower made everything easy

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting Rethymnon town. It's located right in front of Koumbes Beach, alongside other holiday homes. The suite was very new and well-maintained

We had a room on a higher floor facing the main road, which could be a bit noisy with the balcony door open. The property has a lift, making it easy to move our luggage

Coffee and fresh orange juice were not included in the breakfast, which was very disappointing. In general, you pay extra for anything not included in the room and breakfast, which makes the stay feel less comfortable

The biggest issue was the bathroom. It was constantly humid, had a bad smell, and the shower flooded the floor every time because there was no door. The water also didn’t heat up immediately, which was unpleasant

The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by glass doors and walls – they weren’t transparent, so technically private, but still felt uncomfortable and not very practical. The glass door itself also felt unstable

Orpheas Resort is a beautiful, tranquil, homely hotel. The staff are simply excellent and certainly help the stay to be as good as it possibly could be

I would rate my stay as 3 stars. The location is beautiful and quiet, with an amazing beach where you really feel immersed in nature. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and my room overall was fine

Just back from a week at the Orpheas Resort and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Staff are friendly, food is diverse, and tasty. The pools are well maintained and the atmosphere is magical.

This is the best hotel i’ve ever been to ! There is a really good viev of the beach you get free breakfast lunch and dinner and drinks at any time ,there are also a sauna and a big pool

Everything was excellent! The beach, George is a gem, the food is fantastic, an excellent assortment of delicious foods through out the meals , and also Maria from the restaurant is brilliant and very kind! Much appreciation for Esmeralda from Aegeo Spa, her hands are like a fairy! The rooms are spacy and very clean, housekeeping does an amazing job, and all the ladies are amazing!

We have visited the hotel in August 2024. Location is good as you have a supermarket right in front and couple of good restraunts if you feel like dining out. 30 mins drive to Chania for a bigger city vibe

Additional thing worth mentioning is Aegeo SPA in the hotel itself, you can negotiate good prices. Terry, who is in charge of the SPA is amazing, friendly and nice

Nothing was ever too much trouble and I had to ask them for help with a fairly sensitive situation which they handled with compassion and privacy. The location is in my opinion the best along the section of this area

I had a deep tissue massage by Margaret and this was the best massage I’ve had so far (and I have a lot of massages). She was so lovely and made me feel extremely relaxed and at ease

It was spacious and better than expected. Food was wide ranging and well prepared to a high standard. The service was excellent in every location from reception through to to beach bar

Despite this, plastic cups and bottles were still being used in some areas, which undermined the eco-concept a bit. Another issue was the presence of mosquitoes in the room. Fly screens would have been helpful here

Speaking of Kid's Club, the animation for the adults and the evening program are great. for children, not so much! The mini disco at night is boring, to say the least. Every night, the same songs in the same order

The food and drink was good, especially the included breakfast. We loved the location between Chania and Heraklion for sightseeing. The town of Rethymno was charming with good food and shopping

Cleaning and breakfast buffet staff were great! We had one miserable male night manager front desk person who seamed to be upset about us asking for more toilet paper and made me get it out of the lobby washroom

The evening patio dining and bar overlooked the ocean and although the menu was not as expansive, there were quite a lot of beverage options. The room we had was one of the suites, and met all of our needs

We did enjoy our stay very much. The rooms were big enough for 4 people and quiet as well as clean. The pool area though is too small - most beds were always taken and the water is very warm

Stuff changed shower tub by our request. we had room on 5th flour and nice view on harbor and Fortecia, Hotel doesn't have own parking, but it's good free parking near by

The staff were so kind! The manager asked us multiple times if everything was alright and always wanted to talk to us. It was extremley clean, tidy and it was beautiful with marble floors everywhere

The staff and their manager, Mr. The hotel has its own pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a pool bar. The breakfast offers a good selection and the kitchen is trying to fulfill special wishes as well

Except the exhausting Corona rules it is a place of enjoyment for kids. The water slide park, mini club, children disco - everything made for a perfect childrens' holidays.

Well it is not a 5 star hotel as it claims to be. Housekeeping needs improvement in terms of cleaning, yelling through corridors from 08:00 and general behaviour. The pool is nice for children

Best location, good breakfast, big beds

This hotel is good enough for what you pay.It is in the centre of the city.Staff is smily and very helpful,nice roof bar,and good coffee.I recommend it for 3-4 nights so you can walk the city and be near to your hotel.

Moreover, the rooms are very aesthetic and modern! Since the beach is a private hotel beach, it is not too crowded and you can always get a spot

There is also the option to eat a la card at the beach restaurant, which we highly recommend - you can enjoy seafood while watching the sunset

From the water provided in the fridge on arrival, to seeing they provide an iron and can help with chargers amongst other things to the friendliness of the team it has everything you need
