Lesvos is amazing, but Defkalion would be worth the trip anywhere in the world. The hotel is operated by a wonderful family, and by the time you leave you'll feel like you've been adopted. Perfect basic hotel for overnight stay before heading to the islands. Rooms have everything you need, fridge, balcony and clean amenities. WiFi as well. Friendly check-in staff and has a breakfast room if you need it. Rooms have double and single beds. Recommended.

Traditional guest house next to the main square of Portaria with friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed a sweet dessert of the spoon and hot cups of tea in the common living room with fireplace. The breakfast offers handmade delicacies with a variety of pies, jams, etc. The only drawback is the old mattresses.

The Erofili hotel provided us an exceptional hospitality as well as a super handmade breakfast, same is located in the center of Portaria village with all the hotspots in walking distance. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable enough and cozy.
