Spent 7 days here. Was a good stay with some shortcomings. First was the pool, open relatively late (11 am) and available to outsiders which made it very noisy during the weekend. Second was the gym, open for some reason after 12 pm, not cleaned (at least for the 7 days I was there), half the machines are broken and closed on Sunday which the receptionist didn't tell us about. The hotel picture is not revealing the winding road of 8 KM to reach it from Volos. Nevertheless, we managed to go up the hill and the hotel met all expectations. A good hotel in a nice setting on the way up to Pelion Mountain above the town of Volos in central Greece , with clean rooms and clean pool and beutifull garden. Our stay at Valeni was excellent. The view alone is unbeatable. We stayed in the junior suite. We first went to the spa and then had massages. My family and I were at the hotel for a happy occasion of Christening of a close friend's child. The place is tranquil, and personnel are ready to help and assist. Rooms are well equipped with coffee & tea equipment, plenty of towels. Spa offers a variety of massages and different procedures.

A beautiful old manor house in the traditional style of Pelion (Pilio). The hotel is animal friendly which was a great surprise. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, and the breakfast available has a good variety (their traditional pie is amazing).

Despotiko is a very fine hotel at a high point of portaria with means it also has an amazing view. The service is flawless although we did encounter some telephone pranking at one point. The food wasn't very good the first night(Tuesday) but was almost perfect the next day. The breakfast is absolutely worth it. Value for money for the dates that I went end of July paying 50€ with breakfast was a very good price.Yes indeed the road is a little bumpy but nothing more than a car can't handle,the bumpy road is about 200 metres or less and there is a parking in the hotel 🏨 .The breakfast is very decent with a big variety of products .The hotel does have a pool also which is very nice.Overall it is a smooth place...

Traditional guest house next to the main square of Portaria with friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed a sweet dessert of the spoon and hot cups of tea in the common living room with fireplace. The breakfast offers handmade delicacies with a variety of pies, jams, etc. The only drawback is the old mattresses.

The Erofili hotel provided us an exceptional hospitality as well as a super handmade breakfast, same is located in the center of Portaria village with all the hotspots in walking distance. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable enough and cozy.

We loved our stay in Belina hotel in December. The room was very clean, cozy and warm with a fireplace! The bed was very comfortable. Excellent service, the owners are very kind and accommodating ensuring that we have everything we need. Big advantage the parking in the heart of Portaria! I fully recommend it!

Clean and cozy. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. Breakfast had various choices and was delicious (handmade marmalades/sweets eat cetera). The availability of parking just outside the hotel is a plus considering the place!

Absolutely perfect hotel, very clean the service is outstanding, the staff very friendly, the garden views are beautiful, I recommend this place for a perfect stay of relaxation. Don't hesitate, you will be utterly flattered at this traditional Pelion style hospitality, also the breakfast is home made with 5 star quality local products.

Even if we did not stay here due to some problems with the reservation, the host found another hotel for us nearby and also gave us free breakfast.

The hotel’s design is old fashioned. We ordered a room with a mountain and pool views, there aren’t rooms that offers both. The hotel’s overview didn’t mention that the pool is closed. The gym is poor, not a lot of equipment and no air conditioning. The breakfast is nice and tasty.

Unfortunately we had an ant problem in our room that wasn't solved during our entire stay. Neither were we offered any compensation. The AC worked just but not great :( The gym and pool hours are not very convinient. The shower was awsome :) and so the food by the pool and room service. Hotel Filoxenia is a small hotel hidden in between some others in Portaria. The owners take pride in their quiet and welcoming establishment and provide you everything you need. The location is wonderful, and sitting in between the large trees on a sunny day makes you realize that you might have stumbled upon one of the most beautiful places in all of Greece.
