Wonderful hotel in Beautiful and cozy Portaria. Nice space in the rooms very good breakfast. Nice and clean pool. Very polite and helpful staff. In The village portaria wich is a walk of 7 min a lots of restaurantas... Can really recommend. I stayed for 3 nights.

Spent 7 days here. Was a good stay with some shortcomings. First was the pool, open relatively late (11 am) and available to outsiders which made it very noisy during the weekend. Second was the gym, open for some reason after 12 pm, not cleaned (at least for the 7 days I was there), half the machines are broken and closed on Sunday which the receptionist didn't tell us about. Perfect location 3day break Great swimming pool however 11:00 am opening was a half day gone. Staff were attentive in the hotel. Dining room was lovely so was dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh Downfall of the property was no tea and coffee facilities. Insect screens. Awesome view from the mountain down to Volos

Rooms a little outdated but the view really made up for all as well as the service and friendliness of everyone working there. Pool was clean and cool and not busy at all for the early June. Great ambience!

Great food both for breakfast and dinner. On top of that the rooms had really comfortable beds and a nice restroom. The only negative was that the rooms were a bit small but apart from that everything was really good

Nice location, but the hotel could use an upgrade. For example, TVs have no hdmi yet, so I couldn't plug in a chromecast.

Valeni is a beautiful gem of a hotel in Greece! The most comfortable beds and pillows, the warm welcoming atmosphere, the views, the crackling fire with the twinkling lights looking over the view of Volos - all unbeatable! Our stay at Valeni was excellent. The view alone is unbeatable. We stayed in the junior suite. We first went to the spa and then had massages. Both were wonderful, especially because the spa is booked for an hour so we had it all to ourselves. The fireplace in the evening made the room warm and cozy, as did the giant jacuzzi tub. Very nice hotel to stay on top of Portaria village. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Basic breakfast that could be richer for the level of the hotel. The last 300m to access the road is narrow.I give 4 stars because the room aircondition was not operating so well.

Great place to stay in Portaria, Pelion. Rooms are clean and the standard room are large enough. there is a swimming pool at the yard and great view of Vollos and the sea below. A lot of parking area some of them by the rooms. A standard breakfast. The staff are very nice.

A great resort! The houses are well placed, breakfast and in general food served is really good. Plus, they are pet friendly! Totally recommend!

Lovely place with a great view and great pool. Unfortunately while we stayed here the pool bar was closed which would have added to the place. Staff seemed friendly and breakfast was filling, but also nothing out of the ordinary. Rooms where nice and spacious with great AC, but could have been slightly more modern. A beautiful old manor house in the traditional style of Pelion (Pilio). The hotel is animal friendly which was a great surprise. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, and the breakfast available has a good variety (their traditional pie is amazing).

Very nice place with great view. People there were great and the service good. The mansion is beautiful and it’s near the center of Portaria. There is also parking available. Tasty breakfast and nice coffee. The place is quiet, perfect for relaxing. I had a great time there, I highly recommend this place.

Traditional guest house next to the main square of Portaria with friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed a sweet dessert of the spoon and hot cups of tea in the common living room with fireplace. The breakfast offers handmade delicacies with a variety of pies, jams, etc. The only drawback is the old mattresses.

The hotel’s design is old fashioned. We ordered a room with a mountain and pool views, there aren’t rooms that offers both. The hotel’s overview didn’t mention that the pool is closed. The gym is poor, not a lot of equipment and no air conditioning. The breakfast is nice and tasty.

Unfortunately we had an ant problem in our room that wasn't solved during our entire stay. Neither were we offered any compensation. The AC worked just but not great :( The gym and pool hours are not very convinient. The shower was awsome :) and so the food by the pool and room service. Simply outstanding. We stayed in a suite that was fully renovated(we were one of the first to sleep there after the renovation) with modern but also a bit of traditional style. The view of the mountain Pilio and the city as well was great. The breathtaking sunset and the balcony offered us a feeling of freedom. We had a nice room with a large balcony and a great view. Breakfast is great as well, though it was way too much for 2 people. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Cozy and clean rooms with a great view to the city of Volos. The little yard we could sit and enjoy our coffee/breakfast was beautiful and filled with flowers, giving a unique but traditional touch to the hotel. The landlady was very kind and helpful. Yes Yes Yes. For the location, for the service, for the breakfast for the great dinner. Sure a few things can be improved in the rooms but most of these details should be overlooked when everything else is great.

Tasty breakfast. We also had dinner here, food is a little bit more expensive than in other restaurants nearby. The room was small and seems to need renovation, however this didn't worsen our overall experience.

Nice and homey. Very tasty breakfast. Shower is clean but needs some renovation. They make very good preserved fruits and jams, of which they give some as a gift.

A very nice view of Portaria's main square. Wonderful breakfast (included) and a very good restaurant. The staff are kind and welcoming. We had the family room, which is equipped with toys and book for children (in greek...) and is very spacious and comfortable. Note that this is an old building and its wooden floor is noisy; we could hear when the guests upstairs went to the bathroom at night.

Despotiko is a very fine hotel at a high point of portaria with means it also has an amazing view. The service is flawless although we did encounter some telephone pranking at one point. The food wasn't very good the first night(Tuesday) but was almost perfect the next day. The breakfast is absolutely worth it. Value for money for the dates that I went end of July paying 50€ with breakfast was a very good price.Yes indeed the road is a little bumpy but nothing more than a car can't handle,the bumpy road is about 200 metres or less and there is a parking in the hotel 🏨 .The breakfast is very decent with a big variety of products .The hotel does have a pool also which is very nice.Overall it is a smooth place...

The hotel is in the very center of Portaria, just in the main square. The room is wide and comfortable, such as the bathroom with a modern shower box. The breakfast is wonderful both salad and sweet, with handmade Greek products, preserves, cakes and so on. Kritsa, her parents and her daughter are all very kind and helpful.
