Spent 7 days here. Was a good stay with some shortcomings. First was the pool, open relatively late (11 am) and available to outsiders which made it very noisy during the weekend. Second was the gym, open for some reason after 12 pm, not cleaned (at least for the 7 days I was there), half the machines are broken and closed on Sunday which the receptionist didn't tell us about. Perfect location 3day break Great swimming pool however 11:00 am opening was a half day gone. Staff were attentive in the hotel. Dining room was lovely so was dinner. Rooms a little outdated but the view really made up for all as well as the service and friendliness of everyone working there. Pool was clean and cool and not busy at all for the early June. Great ambience!

The hotel is nice but need a renovation. The air conditioning in the rooms doesn't function proper. The breakfast is very good, while breakfast you may order Greek coffee also for free. Beach is in 15 min walk distance. Ask the room with the view to the sea. It is very strange for us that the hotel building has an oil gas station inside it from the main street side.

It is in the city, on the seafront, with a nice park in front of it. Very convenient. Nice breakfast, clean room with amenities provided. On the other hand, it’s facilities need some refresh.

Been here for 3 yrs and it’s always like ‘home’. The hotel manager Theo is a gem! They value customers and make you feel good. Good service from all staff. Facing the sea so you’ll get picturesque view and food is good! If you’re vegan, no problem! Just tell the staff and you’ll get almond milk with your coffee, fresh orange juice even smoothie!

Not really a 5 star hotel. Excellent personnel but rooms far from luxury. The Taverna really good, staff ever so polite. Breakfast more like upmarket German army barracks, a girl checking room number at the beginning of the long queue decidedly hilarious. Pity, it could easily be much better. It is a resort hotel trying to be a business hotel. So decoration in pool bar and lobby areas is too formal and vintage and not welcoming for a resort guest. Although 3 star hotel, I rate 4 although rooms not that big. Take a room with harbor view! Excellent location to explore Volos on a short trip. Tip: Plagios restaurant for a very decent meal. Parking: 2 min walk in front at the harbor, not so cheap (about 15 euro per 24 hours) but safe and stressless.

Our stay at Valeni was excellent. The view alone is unbeatable. We stayed in the junior suite. We first went to the spa and then had massages. Very nice hotel to stay on top of Portaria village. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Basic breakfast that could be richer for the level of the hotel. The last 300m to access the road is narrow.I give 4 stars because the room aircondition was not operating so well.

Great place to stay in Portaria, Pelion. Rooms are clean and the standard room are large enough. there is a swimming pool at the yard and great view of Vollos and the sea below. A lot of parking area some of them by the rooms. A standard breakfast. The staff are very nice.

A beautiful old manor house in the traditional style of Pelion (Pilio). The hotel is animal friendly which was a great surprise. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, and the breakfast available has a good variety (their traditional pie is amazing).

Very nice place with great view. People there were great and the service good. The mansion is beautiful and it’s near the center of Portaria. There is also parking available. Traditional guest house next to the main square of Portaria with friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed a sweet dessert of the spoon and hot cups of tea in the common living room with fireplace. Location and view. That is all this hotel has to offer. Other than that it's very basic. The rooms are small and basic, the breakfast is basic and the quality seems to be below average. No parking included which means that you'll have to carry your luggage a long way. Considering everything this is not a good value for money either.
