We had a deluxe room with sea view and the room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, plus was nicely designed. The room cleaning staff did an amazing job. The food of this hotel is excellent and there is enough variety every day, so it doesn't get boring. We liked the most, that there is actually a bit of greek food every day, because why going to greece and not having greek food? The restaurant and bar staff is very helpful and friendly. Loved the good mood. The beqch is clean and nice and the other areas are also clean and cozy. The design of the whole hotel are is well done and greatly maintained. Absolutely recommendable, especially out of season. Prices for drinks and food outaide half-board are fully worth it. We surely will come again. And not to forget the nice ancient artifacts presented in the hotel lobby. Very interesting.

Just the most relaxing holiday, wonderful hotel with fruits and vegetables growing all around. Clean , friendly great food and great service all with a fabulous beach to while your time away between snorkelling with the fish in the crystal clear and warm sea. What more could you wish for. We will be back.

We stayed here with family and there are definitely some good things:
• Great location, very close to Potos center.
• Free parking on the premises.
• Two pools plus a kids’ pool, and even two small kids’ playgrounds which is a big plus for families.
But unfortunately, the cleaning and maintenance really let the place down. The room cleaning was inconsistent — sometimes towels were not replaced (even when left on the floor), toilet paper wasn’t refilled on time, and the terrace was barely cleaned. On one occasion, soda cans were emptied on the bathroom floor and left to dry, which was shocking. When we arrived, the bathroom drain was clogged and only fixed the next day.
Breakfast was very basic and the same every day. Coffee was a big disappointment: machines make “espresso” using instant coffee, with no option for a proper Greek coffee or even filter coffee.
The pool area also needs much better cleaning. Around the kids’ pool especially, there was a strong urine smell. Food by the pool is okay but clearly overpriced.
Overall, the biggest issue here is cleanliness — both in the rooms and around the pool. The location and facilities are nice, but the lack of proper cleaning and attention to detail really affects the overall experience.

Worst experience ever. We paid for a double room with one big bed and when we got there we were given economy rooms with twin beds and when we confronted them they told us that for them double rooms are the economy rooms. Also the service is terrible most of the staff is acting like they are making you favours and you should be grateful for letting you stay there and serving you. We also got demi pension with breakfast and dinner and they didn’t even give you water (as in tap water) and they forced us to buy water. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, there are a lot of good and nice places in Greece where you can stay besides here.

I totally recommend Alexandra Beach Thassos for people who want to enjoy Thassos island by staying at one of the most beautiful, quiet but at the same time close to Potos, a vibrant city just 5min walking distance from the hotel.
The staff was nice and welcoming. The room with private pool was so pleasant and the Taverna restaurant served us the best grilled octopus.

Before I start my review please ignore any negative comments that may have been previously posted. This hotel is brilliant, with the rooms being comfortable and spacious, the setting (the grounds are immaculately kept) is beautiful, and the views are fantastic. The restaurant food was very good and to suit all tastes, as was the poolside food, and I'm fussy a eater. The staff were very helpful and courteous, especially Nicky, (Hotel Guest Relations, see her if you want to book a sunset boat trip, which was absolutely mind blowing), now I don't like boats or deep water but Captain Andreas , on his maiden voyage, made me/us feel very much at ease. The village (if you can call it that) of Potos is full of life, with bars and shops, not the sleepy little fishing village with a few taverna's we were expecting, it's brilliant. We booked a 4x4 three beach trip through Tui, but being honest, it wasn't worth it. Six adults in a 4x4 didn't fit, especially as the very back seats are more for children, making it very uncomfortable, with Paradise beach being the best of the three visited, its much easier to hire a car and drive yourselves (which we did). On the whole, a lovely holiday, Thassos is an unspoilt island, which I would recommend visiting, as I would the Alexandra Beach Hotel, and will certainly go back to again in the future. Keemo.

We had a warm welcome on arrival at the Alexandra Beach Hotel with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, check in was speedy and effortless , we paid the local taxes as advised before we booked our holiday so no biggy.. Bags transported to our room in a little buggy. nice touch! Our accomadation was perfect size, very clean, use of small fridge, plenty of towels, extra bedding if needed. The App was very useful for booking extras, Bali beds, beach food and drinks,extra housekeeping supplies etc. Good location, 5 mins walk to Potos village, many shops, eateries, Pharmacy. Great sandy /pebbled beach , plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas but you may need beach shoes for foot protection The Hotel provides a plethora of buffet food to gorge on at busy meal times, if buffet is not your style then Taverna Thalassa on site with amazing sea views offers a full local food menu. The bar had a sprinkling of entertainment and offered a good selection of cocktails and drinks. To sum up we had a fabulous holiday all made possible with the help of the dedicated staff. This is fair and honest review, my wife, daughter(age20) and myself had a lovely time. After a 31/2 hr flight from Gatwick to Kavala airport, the trip to the hotel was approx another 2hrs, but it was actually pretty enjoyable, lovely ferry ride, great views, pleasant journey. The coach transfer from ferry to hotel is around a hr, but goes quick, with more lovely views. On arrival to the hotel, we was greeted to a lovely smile, £200 hotel tax bill, and £40 for a room safe for the 11 nights. (Be honest everyone has to pay it, but it would have been nice if Tui had advised use of the amount we where going to pay) Our room (3117) balcany/garden view, but got a car park view, and the rooms below where shared swim up apartments. The food was excellent, the staff are excellent, the views was amazing, but the wasps are a nightmare, you will be fighter them off when ever your eating outside, I guess it’s a problem this time of the year. There’s 2 swimming pools, can be busy, but we always got a sun-bed, which was surprising, seeing there was lots of kids. The cost of a pint is just over 5e, which is pretty reasonable I say. The beach is very stoney,?so make sure you buy yourself some beach shoes. The view in the evening of the sunset is amazing, even saw some dolphins. We had a nice time, and love Greece, the Greek people and food, the staff are excellent, would come back, but a probably out of season.

This is our first time in Thassos and what a beautiful island it is, the only let down(s) were arriving to the hotel after a long day traveling and getting to our room to find our aircon was broken as well as the shower head, which meant we had to wait 1 hour for someone to come fix it until we could shower. The room itself is in need of some serious TLC, I would say a premier inn/ hostel has better facilities than this room, with lime green walls, holes in the walls and broken draws. It really put a downer on the holiday as when the rest of the hotel is such a high standard you except all the rooms to be as well. Other than the room being a major let down, the staff are all friendly and welcoming and the rest of the hotel is stunning with amazing food and cocktails. The views and location do not get better than this!

The reason l gave this hotel 1* is to travelers to read this review because all have the tendency to skip those 2-3* reviews... We spend there 10 days for summer vacation with our 3,5 yo daughter. Hotel is in average 4* which means there are some 5-6* elements and some 1* elements. Parking and the exterior of the hotel are deserving 7* - parking is under natural shade of the grapes, hotel has its own fruit yard and grape yard as well as nice garden. together with olive tries and flowers it makes it very very nice. rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated as well as pool area and the restaurant. Major issue with a hotel - which qualifies for 1* hotels is that there was no water in the room after we came back fro the beach. Ever worse was the explanation by the reception after l complained - sorry but this is the time everybody are taking the shower so we are running out of the water. in the same time they are watering the plants around.... second major issue is that every single morning we had wake up by garbage truck loading the garbage for like half an hour. Third annoying thing was extra charge for hotel safe deposit - we paid our stay like 2000 EUR and then you charge me extra 20 EUR for using safe in my room.... One more thing worth mentioning is the beach - it is not really suitable for small kids. Overall hotel is not value for money.
