Porto Carras is a fantastic destination for families looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the sea and surrounding nature. This review is regarding Porto Carras Spa Centre only, since we were not guests of the hotel.
We wanted to spend a rainy day in a spa centre and work out in the gym. We called a day upfront to make a reservation and the staff was friendly and provided the required information. All-day spa ticket with access to 3 swimming pools, gym and sauna was 35EUR p.p. Towel and bathrobe are included in the price.
Everything in the spa centre is outdated, in urgent need of maintenance and the hygiene is poor. Mold is present in lots of places, and this leaves a very unhealthy impression. Almost all machines in gym are broken, barely functioning or even worse, functioning with a high level of danger of hurting yourself.
Furthermore, there is no bar / restaurant within the spa centre and when we asked the staff if we can order a coffee and 2 waters, this was delivered by room service. It is needless to mention how overpriced this was, but I guess it is expected since room service delivered it.
My bathrobe had stains on it. Children swimming pool has no lounge beds/chairs around it. Hydromassage pool has only 3 sets of beds plus one sofa around it if you want to lounge.
Hot stone chairs are also not being warmed up due to “technical issues which are about to be resolved”.
With all this being said, we definitely didn’t enjoy nor relax today and find it a waste of money. We are usually laid back and really tried to make the best out of this experience…

Our stay at Porto Carras Resort was far from the luxurious experience we expected. From poor service to unappealing dining options, the entire experience was a letdown. Issues with billing, long waits for elevators, and unhelpful staff added to our frustration. We ended up leaving a day early because of the numerous disappointments. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a truly enjoyable vacation.

Considering that our vacation cost almost €3000 at this hotel with breakfast and dinner included, we expected a bit more. The staff is extremely unfriendly. We paid extra for a Junior Suite but received a standard room, just like the family who traveled with us and paid €800. As for the food, it’s okay. We’ve stayed in much less "prestigious" hotels that have much better food. The rooms are not clean, and I don’t even want to talk about the hygiene in the hallways and the smell in the hotel.
The chefs are bad, regardless of whether you eat at the hotel restaurant or on the beach. For example, when we went to Nikiti, which is nearby, the food was excellent, while at the hotel it was simply poorly prepared. At the entrance to the "Resort," there is a barrier that doesn’t allow everyone to enter, which is understandable, but there were times when we arrived by car and had to wait up to 10 minutes for someone to open the barrier, which we honestly didn’t like. I should add that the prices on the beach are outrageously expensive. What we really liked was the pool, which is very large and clean, and the hotel has plenty of parking spaces, but that’s all we were impressed with. Next year, we definitely won't be staying at this hotel again. Unfortunately, considering the price we paid, the hotel gets two stars.

Excellent location and facilities, and a non-negligible number of activities to choose from, that can keep children (and adults) busy.
The hotel was built some time ago, and despite recent refurbishment, some areas were clearly not as expected in a 5-star hotel.
Our room was spacious and view great, although a renovation, in particular of the bathroom, would be helpful.
Staff was clearly trying their best to provide high-quality service, and overall were very helpful, but it was more than obvious they were exhausted, and often this had an impact on the service provided.
I need to mention separately Rania, the hotel’s guest relationship manager, whose professionalism and support was more than appreciated, and did the extra step to upgrade our experience.
Overall experience was positive, and I would recommend, primarily for families.

Stayed 5 nights to Meliton. Even though the hotel could use some renovation my experience was very pleasant. The hotel has much to offer with a golf court, a winery, a bowling alley, an outdoor cinema just to mention a few. Food and buffets were rich with a variety to satisfy even the most demanding ones. Staff was friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend this resort for your next holidays

Great place for a couples and family stay. Resort has plenty of green spots and beautiful olive trees. Kids Mini Club is fantastic with many entertaining activities for kids. The girls in the Mini club are super friendly! Beach is very clean, water is super warm and clean as well. Hotel staff, bar tenders, and restaurant staff (experienced one) are really polite and helpful, some need to learn more about customer experience. Food is great in the restaurants, you will be putting some extra kg’s for sure 😄 The view from Marina rooms is absolutely magical.
One thing that is to improve are the elevators, many people got to understand that once you hold the close door elevators, you do not allow the lift to open on the floors where people called the elevators. This should change in the future, it’s very annoying especially for families with small kids.

We are currently staying at Hotel Meliton Porto Carras with my family for a holiday. Overall, the experience has been pleasant, though there are some notable drawbacks.
The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are renovated and comfortable, although the bathrooms could use some updating. The area around the hotel is spacious, and the beach is lovely, but with small stones adding to its charm.
However, our mornings are stressful due to the beach situation. To secure sunbeds, you need to stay with them; otherwise, your towels will be removed after 20-30 minutes if you leave. This forces us to have breakfast in shifts, which is inconvenient and definitely not pleasant.
Additionally, there is no working bar on the beach to order and buy coffee before 10:00aAM. The only options are to order coffee in plastic cups from room service at 6 euros each or to have it in the restaurant. This morning, I tried to take a cup of coffee with me from the restaurant and was not allowed. The feeling was awful, like being treated as a thief, despite paying for a 5-star hotel.
Given these issues, I would recommend finding another place for your family vacation. Despite the enjoyable atmosphere and facilities, the morning stress and coffee situation significantly detract from the overall experience.

Had a wonderful holiday with the family here. We had beautiful rooms overlooking the Marina which are gorgeous and also look out to the sea. The hotel setting is spectacular. The resort is remote from everything so it is good that it is a resort with everything self contained.
All staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke English very well. Theodorus was one of the many very helpful waiters. The reception staff and the cleaning staff were all excellent. The hotel was very clean and tidy.
The pools, beach - all great! Highly recommended.

A really nice hotel with many positive features. It has it's own golf course, casino and several bars. Includes several restaurants but only one is included with half board. There is also a shuttle boat that runs from the hotel to near town Neos Marmaras which we used 3 times in a week. Staff are all friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are comfortable and have air con. Note : beach is a shingle beach so appropriate footwear (seashoes) would be ideal.
