Doryssa Seaside Resort

This hotel cleverly provides for a range of holidaymakers. The main hotel is fairly typical of Mediterranean resorts, with blocks of rooms grouped around the main and children's pools.
Alongside is a recreation of an old Greek village with individual rooms in buildings of a wide range of styles and a 'village square'.
There are 5 restaurants, including the main hotel one for people on full-board packages, plus a pool bar. Service is good in all areas with the exception of the pool/beach bar service where it can be occasional patchy/off-hand.
There is an on-site shop with most holiday essentials and prices, eg for wine, that are competitive with town.

Absolutely perfect… Me and my wife stay 4 nights on September. We loved this hotel. Beach and pool very nice. Breakfast various and delicious. Staff kindly. Rooms are clean. If we’ll come Samos we prefer Dorryssa again. Thank you!

Better suited to adults than children. Lovely setting. Helpful and friendly staff. Only €5 to pythagario in a taxi. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Lunchtime snacks near the pool. Fish restaurant and pizzeria in the evenings. Not lacking anything.

We stayed at this hotel between August 31 and September 4. First of all, we must say that we do not consider it to meet a 5-star standard. Our impressions are as follows:
• The room we stayed in had a locked door inside. Not knowing where it led or what was behind it was unsettling.
• The bathroom and toilet were very small and quite outdated. When taking a shower, the water overflowed and reached the toilet area, which is only one step away from the shower. Moreover, the water temperature kept changing depending on how you held the showerhead.
• The rooms were cleaned daily.
• Only one bottle of water was provided as a courtesy. Once finished, you had to purchase additional water yourself.
• Breakfast was the same every day with no variety or change, and there was always a line to get tea or coffee.
• Although the check-out time was stated as 12:00 when we made the reservation, we were called at 11:00 and told to leave the room. This was unpleasant and caused unnecessary rush.
• The staff were very attentive and friendly.
• The restaurants within the hotel offered fast service and delicious food.

The hotel is architecturally very beautiful. Its facilities are generally very good. The beach and sea are very beautiful, very sufficient. I just think the room prices are a bit expensive. There is also a middle-aged staff member at breakfast. She chooses whether to greet people or not by looking at what they are wearing. It was disturbing to me. I did not find the hotel hospitable in general. But it is definitely visually very enjoyable. It can be preferred again by ignoring some things.

We have been staying at the Doryssa seaside resort for a week now and what a beautiful hotel.
The most relaxing week we have had.
The staff are amazing, so friendly and professional.
The hotel is so clean and a pleasure to stay in.
Even though the hotel is full you wouldn’t think so, plenty of beds at the pool and on the beach.
We stayed bed and breakfast as wanted to taste the local cuisine.
The breakfast is fabulous and caters for everyone and the selection of food is great.
The pool bar has a good selection of food and drinks and the staff there are brilliant, friendly and extremely hard working. Kiria Despina is the manager there and has it running perfectly.
Doryssa hotel is in walking distance to the local town approximately 10-15 mins walk.
A beautiful town it is too. Plenty of restaurants bars and shops to choose from.
We would definitely recommend Doryssa hotel and look forwards to returning.

This small resort is exceptional. The people that run it make you feel like family. The views are incredible. I have never been at another place where the services are better! The restaurant is great as well. Short cab ride to Skala with breathtaking views along the way. I’ll never forget our stay there! We plan on returning next year but stay longer! Hotel is in a great location on the beach. 15min walk to the main town.
It's classified as a 5 star. But the hotel really needs a good Reno.... 3 star accommodation right now... they have a few silly rules, like you can't change your beach towels for 2 days which isn't very nice to take back to your room wet towels and dry yourself to use the next day... You have both options sunbake by the pool or the beach.. overall great experience. If you don't like to walk at night. Stay in town. The Doryssa Theorem... Loved it there.

We stayed at the Village side of the hotel as a family with little kids, and had a great time. Everything was clean, very beautifully decorated, a true Mediterranean feeling throughout the hotel. Great quality food. Hotel employees were so friendly and caring. Especially Mrs. Benek at the reception was exceptional. Big thank you to all employees.
