Proteas Blu Resort

Let's start from the good - as almost everyone mentions, the service is (mostly) great. The beach area is great as well. Resort is quiet and nice, Breakfast is ok+.
And now let's talk about the weak spots of this hotels - the rooms!
The bathroom is like from a 2-start hotel in india, not maintained, shower holder rusted, a lot of scale/limescale. Overflooding after a shower - all the floor was wet, so you couldn't go to a toilet.
Another issue - our bed was so.. bad! It had a large curvature in the mattress, and the mattress itself of a very lower quality = prepare for a bad sleep if you have a problematic back (like me).
I've reflected all the room problems to hotel's staff, but they refused to provide me a better/normal room, so here is for this hotel's "wonderful" service.
A rental car or taxi is necessary if you want to eat outside the hotel. The next town is 30 minutes away on foot, but there is no walking path there (you need to move along the side of the road, can be dangerous). This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, more like 4 if you don't take a room into account, 3 or less if you do.
I've visited many countries (and hotels) in my life, many of them are 5*, and I can say with confidence - a hotel that provides such a room, can't classify itself as a 5* hotel.
Unfortunately, due to all these unpleasant circumstances, in case you're truly seeking for a 5* experience, I can't recommend this hotel.

Professional staff very friendly and efficient
Location of the hotel facing a wonderful sea panorama. Quiet guests mainly adults from anywhere in Europe (many from scandinavia) except France. This is common in dodecanese islands. No kids running everywhere or screaming at the pool, therefore a peaceful resort. Excellent place to forget a year of work and to « charge your battery »
