Reviews
Once we arrived we had to fill in a form each, which was really quick. We had 2 rooms - a double room that sleeps 2 people and a family room to sleep 3 people with 3 single beds.
The double room was spacious and the air con was brilliantly. It came on quickly and was very cooling. No faults with this room, however the other room was a different story.
The family room had no space at all - it looked like they used a double room and put in 3 single beds with only a small gap in between them. The guy who showed us to the room had to move the single bed closer as it was blocking the back door which meant it couldn't be open. There was a weird smell like something was dirty but we couldn't find exactly what it was. We believe it was the curtain. One of the quilts had a dried red stain that looked close enough to blood. The air-conditioning worked well once on but it always took ages for the air con to function. The cleaning was done well and nearly everyday someone came to tidy our beds. The rubbish was emptied daily. Small bottles of shower gel and shampoo was not replaced which wasn't an issue as we bought our own. There was a flushing issue with our toilet as it kept making noises and the water won't stop, it also wouldn't let us flush properly. We had to get one of the workers to come and sort it out. It happened twice and the second time the same worker came back, he seemed moody and walked in slow. Didn't have a smile on his face even though we were friendly, almost acting like we were at fault when it's the hotel's issue and this is his job!
The bartender was rude, we asked to borrow a fork and knife and he rudely pointed to the reception. He looked up first but then dismissed us so we had to get his attention first before he rudely muttered something under his breath. The receptionist was friendly as always and helpful enough. However, requesting late check out was difficult as the receptionist said we need to ask in the morning and when we did, they didn't have any rooms left as it was fully packed which would have been the case when we asked the previous day. The good thing is that we could chill at the pool area before our evening flight and there was a place to store our luggage (under the staircase) which unfortunately wasnt secure. There was also a shower downstairs, next to the reception with a toilet which was wet and dirty by the afternoon. The pool was quite spacious, however the floor of the pool always had loads of leaves and dirt especially near the bottom sides. The pool was opened till 8pm but the same worker who fixed our flusher, normally cleans the pool much earlier around quarter past seven. We would be playing in the pool and then suddenly the big machine/equipment he uses will be under our feet so we had to watch out and a thick blue, plastic rope that blocks us from swimming to the other side is on the surface of the water. Therefore, we never stayed till 8pm and left much earlier because the worker makes us feel uncomfortable to stay longer like we are unwelcome to.
Breakfast items changed every morning with the fruits, pastries and ham mainly, having adequate options to choose from. There is quite a lot of people for breakfast, so definitely try to get up early to get a table and prevent queuing.
Only problem was the shower - part of the water from it leaked out and drained in the middle of the bathroom, making it very slippery and wet. We had to put a towel on the ground to not have wet footprints across the whole room.
The pool had great food and big portions, served along with good music and a fantastic bartender - nothing but good vibes.
Breakfast was more local with a couple of international options (bacon, all sorts of eggs, beans, ham, cheese, ...). In the first hour of serving breakfast it was well stacked and the food tasted great.
On the street the hotel stand on there are a lot of markets, bars and taverns.
I would visit it again.
The rooms are small but well furnitured. The bathroom is a mess, the ground is all wet when you take a shower and you can’t avoid it.
The self-service breakfast is okey.
We enjoyed our stay ! Would recommend
Terri and the lady (cook) were very friendly really did look after everybody.
Lovely food and drinks, clean pool area and plenty of sunbeds.
We stayed down the road which was horrendous so we happily spent 2 weeks by the pool here.
Thank you
