Hotel Kalloni in Volos

Very helpfull stuff, good and private parking which was very important to me, small but nice room with very good balcony, well heated for this time of the year, overall all good, recomended

This hotel is a 6Euro taxi ride from the town. My first impression was that I would be isolated, but I walked for 3 mins and found the sea and lots of cafes aand restaurants open. It was easy to find somewhere to eat that evening. However, the hotel was what you would expect for 3*. Reception was very sparse and no welcome was offered. I was not told anything about breakfast etc and where to find it. I had to find my own way around. Total lack of ambience. It served it's purpose for a stopover on the way to the islands and thankfully, the very typical tavaerna I found with tables on the beach made up for anything lacking here. I've got to say that I was here n April so they were just opening up for the season, but that's still no excue - if they are open then they should be open!
