Where to stay in Volos

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Nice staff and service. Perfect location close both to the sea and the pedestrian road with nice coffees and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Spent 7 days here. Was a good stay with some shortcomings. First was the pool, open relatively late (11 am) and available to outsiders which made it very noisy during the weekend. Second was the gym, open for some reason after 12 pm, not cleaned (at least for the 7 days I was there), half the machines are broken and closed on Sunday which the receptionist didn't tell us about. Perfect location 3day break Great swimming pool however 11:00 am opening was a half day gone. Staff were attentive in the hotel. Dining room was lovely so was dinner. Rooms a little outdated but the view really made up for all as well as the service and friendliness of everyone working there. Pool was clean and cool and not busy at all for the early June. Great ambience!

Hotel is lovely. An old building that has been renovated. Rooms are clean and modern. With a lot of details to amenities. Rooms are a bit small, there isn’t much space to open up luggage. Breakfast is good with a decent variety. Perfect location if you need to catch the ferry in the morning. Literally 100m from the harbour. For parking there is a private paid parking just opposite the hotel.

Our stay at Valeni was excellent. The view alone is unbeatable. We stayed in the junior suite. We first went to the spa and then had massages. A beautiful old manor house in the traditional style of Pelion (Pilio). The hotel is animal friendly which was a great surprise. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, and the breakfast available has a good variety (their traditional pie is amazing).

Despotiko is a very fine hotel at a high point of portaria with means it also has an amazing view. The service is flawless although we did encounter some telephone pranking at one point. Traditional guest house next to the main square of Portaria with friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed a sweet dessert of the spoon and hot cups of tea in the common living room with fireplace. It’s a lovely cafe on a roof of the hotel which opens a view to the sea and mountains! A great place to work and enjoy the atmosphere of the city. As for the menu, you can find good healthy alternatives for lunch or dinner. Prices are not too high, and the personal is quite friendly.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were clean, the view was fairly good and the staff were super friendly. The hotel is located in the centre of the town and it is newly opened in the location. The staff are very polite and will guide you through ever problem you face. They have a rooftop swimming pool and restaurant which is very good to hang out in summers.

Very good place where to stop en route between Athens and Thessaloniki. Clean room, very good service, good and complete breakfast, excellent pool and extra points for the private parking. Good restaurants and fair beach in close proximity. All in all very good quality/price ratio. The bathroom probably needs renovation, but the hotel is perfect for a couple of nights.
