Good value for money and included parking which is a hard to find commodity in Volos

Rooms were small for three people which I assume they weren't meant for three. Trying to fit in a third bed among another two, a wardrobe that's movable and a huge fridge makes the space very confining and suffocating. The room was clean but the hotel is old, and not as nice as in the pictures. They are a bit cheap with toilet papers and some other tidbits.

Hotel Filoxenia is a small hotel hidden in between some others in Portaria. The owners take pride in their quiet and welcoming establishment and provide you everything you need. The location is wonderful, and sitting in between the large trees on a sunny day makes you realize that you might have stumbled upon one of the most beautiful places in all of Greece.

The only negative is that the room we stayed was very narrow and the suitcase had to go under the bed. The price was good because it is located exactly in the center of Portaria.

Hotel is lovely. An old building that has been renovated. Rooms are clean and modern. With a lot of details to amenities. Rooms are a bit small, there isn’t much space to open up luggage. Breakfast is good with a decent variety. Perfect location if you need to catch the ferry in the morning. Literally 100m from the harbour. For parking there is a private paid parking just opposite the hotel.

Traditional guest house next to the main square of Portaria with friendly and polite staff. We enjoyed a sweet dessert of the spoon and hot cups of tea in the common living room with fireplace. Very good place where to stop en route between Athens and Thessaloniki. Clean room, very good service, good and complete breakfast, excellent pool and extra points for the private parking. The Erofili hotel provided us an exceptional hospitality as well as a super handmade breakfast, same is located in the center of Portaria village with all the hotspots in walking distance. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable enough and cozy.

Location and view. That is all this hotel has to offer. Other than that it's very basic. The rooms are small and basic, the breakfast is basic and the quality seems to be below average. No parking included which means that you'll have to carry your luggage a long way. Considering everything this is not a good value for money either.

Even if we did not stay here due to some problems with the reservation, the host found another hotel for us nearby and also gave us free breakfast.

The room was clean. Some rooms have sea view and a fireplace. The breakfast was plentiful and the hotel has a parking lot, which is important, because parking can be difficult in Portaria. The hotel is 5 min on foot from the village center.

The breakfast was with variety of foods and everything was very tasty. The location is very quiet and with panorama view to Volos. The hosts are very hospitable and gave us all their attention despite of our late arrival (after midnight) and despite our short stay (1 night only).
