Valeni is a beautiful gem of a hotel in Greece! The most comfortable beds and pillows, the warm welcoming atmosphere, the views, the crackling fire with the twinkling lights looking over the view of Volos - all unbeatable! But the best of all are the staff led by their amazing manager Angeliki

Our stay at Valeni was excellent. We stayed in the junior suite. We first went to the spa and then had massages. Both were wonderful, especially because the spa is booked for an hour so we had it all to ourselves

Rooms are well equipped with coffee & tea equipment, plenty of towels. Spa offers a variety of massages and different procedures

The wedding we had was perfect and the food they prepared was amazing. All my guests were impressed, even the most picky and critical ones. Thank you so much for accommodating my guests and for hosting my wedding!!

food, room, cleanliness accommodation environment excellent. Helpful staff, roads for walking, close to the inns and Makrinitsa for nearby escapes. good prices in relation to the facilities. Worth it.

Rooms a little outdated but the view really made up for all as well as the service and friendliness of everyone working there. Pool was clean and cool and not busy at all for the early June. Great ambience!

The bathrooms are nice and had all the amenities. We enjoyed sitting in the dinning room balcony with wonderful view of the Volos area. It is a pity we could not use the swimming pool and spa as we stayed only the night

Perfect location 3day break Great swimming pool however 11:00 am opening was a half day gone. Staff were attentive in the hotel. Dining room was lovely so was dinner

The rooms are tidy but old furniture and completely disasterous toilet/bath, the location is super, the staff are very friendly and kind. Worth for the price

Location is everything. 5 min walk to the port. Great price with super helpful staff.

Five stars if you sleep one night. 1 star if you sleep more. Average 3 stars. The rooms have not been renovated or upgraded since they were build. Great for historians but not for young people.

Despotiko is a very fine hotel at a high point of portaria with means it also has an amazing view. The service is flawless although we did encounter some telephone pranking at one point

Yes indeed the road is a little bumpy but nothing more than a car can't handle,the bumpy road is about 200 metres or less and there is a parking in the hotel 🏨. The breakfast is very decent with a big variety of products

We decided to celebrate New Years Eve in Valis Resort. As far as I am concerned it is the best Resort ever. The staff is very polite and smiling. The junior suite very big, two rooms, two bathrooms

On my most recent visit certain small things like chips in the surfaces in my bathroom and on some of the furniture and you can see in the wooden surfaces that the varnish/treatment does show it’s age a slight bit

A little check on the furniture and maybe a lick of varnish on the wooden surfaces would really complete the stay to the highest standard. Despite the very minor suggestions I made i fully intend on staying again

I’ve stayed here a few times over the years and always had a good stay. The staff are beyond friendly and have impeccable local knowledge. The location is absolutely stunning

The breakfast has everything you need and is served until late. The hotel offers also a good variety of food all day long, which is also a great plus. There is also a jacuzzi - we did not use it though

A small kids playground is available and I think there is also a small football court. Pet friendly to those how are interested. The owner and the staff are very kind and helpful in every way they can

Very nice hotel to stay on top of Portaria village. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Basic breakfast that could be richer for the level of the hotel. The last 300m to access the road is narrow

Excellent Hotel at the Heart of Volos!!!! The rooms are somehow small but they are very clean and cozy! People have been writing complaints about the lack of elevator; however, the max you will have to take the stairs is for 3 floors

Only reason why I gave 4 stars for the room was because mine was on the main road, so a bit noisy, even with the doors shut. But overall very good and I would stay here again

We in December as a couple really enjoyed the area, view and hotel. I knew it was an older built hotel but therefore knew it would have more spacious rooms and higher ceilings and parking

Rooms very good, but minor issue such as broken showerholder (not recent) etc. A lack of link between what was on the poolbar menu, and what the bar actually offered (much more limited) etc

Clean and cozy rooms in the central plaza of portaria. Almost everything is either locally produced or made by the landlady. My favourites are the apple pie and pasta flora. Excellent for relaxation and extra warmth

Hotel Filoxenia is a small hotel hidden in between some others in Portaria. The owners take pride in their quiet and welcoming establishment and provide you everything you need
