My family and I were at the hotel for a happy occasion of Christening of a close friend's child. The place is tranquil, and personnel are ready to help and assist. Rooms are well equipped with coffee & tea equipment, plenty of towels. Spa offers a variety of massages and different procedures.

Despotiko is a very fine hotel at a high point of portaria with means it also has an amazing view. The service is flawless although we did encounter some telephone pranking at one point. Clean and quiet room and friendly staff. However disappointed by the closed pool and SPA/Massage facilities and personnel. Only one person for massage and therefore full and they couldn’t arrange time for me and my wife to get it at least consequently. On the other hand I was unlucky because that week, sea was forbidden due to pollution from dead fishes. So I can’t comment on sea in front of the hotel

Very polite staff. Excellent spot right on the beach and very clean. It is also very close to Volos. The only reason I rate it as five is that in my opinion it is less luxurious than a typical five star hotel. For example the quality of breakfast was low to medium. On the other hand it is value for money. The more luxurious five star hotels are more expensive.

The hotel is nice but need a renovation. The air conditioning in the rooms doesn't function proper. The breakfast is very good, while breakfast you may order Greek coffee also for free. Beach is in 15 min walk distance. Ask the room with the view to the sea. It is very strange for us that the hotel building has an oil gas station inside it from the main street side.

It is in the city, on the seafront, with a nice park in front of it. Very convenient. Nice breakfast, clean room with amenities provided. On the other hand, it’s facilities need some refresh.

The hotel was convenient to the train station and Hertz. It is on the edge of the lovely walkway along the sea. The beds were two singles pushed together, not very comfortable. It was clean and a bit dated. The breakfast was adequate.

The Erofili hotel provided us an exceptional hospitality as well as a super handmade breakfast, same is located in the center of Portaria village with all the hotspots in walking distance. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable enough and cozy.

We loved our stay in Belina hotel in December. The room was very clean, cozy and warm with a fireplace! The bed was very comfortable. Location and view. That is all this hotel has to offer. Other than that it's very basic. The rooms are small and basic, the breakfast is basic and the quality seems to be below average. No parking included which means that you'll have to carry your luggage a long way. Considering everything this is not a good value for money either.

Even if we did not stay here due to some problems with the reservation, the host found another hotel for us nearby and also gave us free breakfast.

The hotel’s design is old fashioned. We ordered a room with a mountain and pool views, there aren’t rooms that offers both. The hotel’s overview didn’t mention that the pool is closed. The gym is poor, not a lot of equipment and no air conditioning. The breakfast is nice and tasty.

Unfortunately we had an ant problem in our room that wasn't solved during our entire stay. Neither were we offered any compensation. The AC worked just but not great :( The gym and pool hours are not very convinient. The shower was awsome :) and so the food by the pool and room service. Rooms were small for three people which I assume they weren't meant for three. Trying to fit in a third bed among another two, a wardrobe that's movable and a huge fridge makes the space very confining and suffocating. The room was clean but the hotel is old, and not as nice as in the pictures. They are a bit cheap with toilet papers and some other tidbits.

Hotel Filoxenia is a small hotel hidden in between some others in Portaria. The owners take pride in their quiet and welcoming establishment and provide you everything you need. The location is wonderful, and sitting in between the large trees on a sunny day makes you realize that you might have stumbled upon one of the most beautiful places in all of Greece.
