Interesting, spartan hotel. If you are expecting luxury, you won't find it. The shower cabin for our standard double could have been cleaner. Decent continental breakfast for a good price.

Overall a really nice place to stay in Gyor. Very charming but older hotel. Great value for money and close walk to train and old town. And... The Pope stayed there!

The vibe of a 300 year old monastery is still here, which makes this place unique! Good for 1-2 night stays.

Location is the main selling point of this hotel. It lies on a riverbank, close to the city centre and all its nice places and tiny winding streets. It is also close to the Raba Quelle aquapark and easily accessible by car and bus.
The staff was super helpful and nice, from the front desk to the maids, they were smiling and helped with anything we needed!
The ambience is also great - it is an old monastery and looks the part!
The room was tiny for a family of four, but manageable. We severely lacked racks to dry our towels on though.
The equipment is a bit worn out and it shows - while the brand new AC worked flawlessly, the shower leaked, toilet bubbled at odd times of night and closing and opening the window was an adventure. Nothing major, but don't expect a shiny new hotel - expect some character instead :)

Excellent price/value relation and definitely better than the official 3* rating.
No elevator might be an issue for elderly people (no issue for me). My wish would be : dark (fully closing) window shades.

Totally congratulated ourselves for choosing this hotel for our pit stop in Gyor. Right in the city center facing the river bank, cosy, clean rooms and great service. A big plus being they are pet friendly, much appreciated!

A very unique hotel, having once been a monastery and church, perfectly located along the river in the historical area of Gyor. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

We'd booked room with airconditioning and windows into inside of hotel, but we got room without airconditioning and with windows into street. If we didn't make a complain about it, they didn't give us even discount.
