Staff were very helpful especially Riccardo who was exceptionally friendly and went the extra mile.
We wish we’d have known beforehand that you need your own towels and swimming caps for the pool.
The pool water was very warm as was the tap water in room/shower really hot. You probably could burn yourself with it.
The room that we paid for was a basic double which was very dated and disappointing.
The AC didnt work so we did get a free upgrade to a nicer room, but I think in general the price we paid should have got us that type of room.

The Bologna hotel enjoys an excellent central and convenient location in the city centre, you can easily reach the center on foot. The structure is in a classic style, only some rooms have been recently renovated, while the rest are dated with carpet. There is the possibility of staying there on both half board and full board basis, the menu offers classic dishes with the possibility of choosing the dishes of the day proposed by the chef from the menu. At the beginning of lunch and dinner the hotel offers buffet salad dishes. At breakfast the meals are buffet style and there are both very rich and varied sweet and savory dishes.
The hotel has two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor and a vast park with sun loungers to relax in the pool area (service included in the package for those staying in the hotel). To enter the pool you need to use a swimming cap.
However, the cleaning of the swimming pools should be reviewed and the presence of a lifeguard who is unfortunately missing would be useful.
There is a very convenient free internal parking in the structure.
The hotel's beauty center service is excellent, offering beauty services to all customers, the body massage service is interesting and excellent, the beauty center service is an extra service not included in the package if you stay in the hotel. There is also the possibility of doing inhalations and muds as an extra service present in the hotel, if you have a medical prescription you only pay the ticket, otherwise you have to pay for the medical examination and the service you are interested in to be able to access the inhalations/muds service, such as after all, this service is mirrored in all the structures present in Abano.
The staff is friendly and available for every request. Overall the structure offers a good service at a good price compared to other structures nearby.

A bad experience. At the check in I understood that I have to pay for bath robe and pool towel. The room was very narrow and the bath even more with the bide' sharing the same space with the showet tub. Any shelf of any tipe in the bathroom even to put a comb or a toilet paper. No possibility to recharge a cellular phone. No electrical outlet. The heater was no working. They took 2 days to fix it! The air conditioner was disharging water into the balcony that no body was cleaning. It was no possible take sauna, it was no cleaned. Internal pool too little, external pool ok as the common space and the restaurant. Very little and crowed the breakfast room. Food ok. Service people very nice and polite, no the same for the property. Never again I will stay at Hotel Terme Bologna in Abano.

There are some things that work: courtesy of the room and restaurant staff for example.
A nice little park with deckchairs and a thermal pool. The position.
However, there are more things (in many respects) that do not work and in my opinion deserve 1 star overall because they are serious:
- at the end of May, alternating hot days with uncertain days, we suffered from the heat in the room because "the Management had not yet decided to turn on the air conditioning"!!! and there was no way to get it to turn on. It seems to me that the website and the booking mentioned "rooms with air conditioning", perhaps it should have been added "at the discretion of the Management"...
- out of 3 rooms (my parents', mine and my brother's) we had to have all 3 changed the first time, due to broken shutters, broken locks, etc.
- I asked for a cake for 4-6 people for my parents' anniversary, and one for 8-10 people arrived, served still frozen... (€38)
- "homemade" food (with pros and cons of this).
- for a burn (definitely our fault) on the top of a table in the room (not absolutely valuable) they made us pay €250.
Price/quality ratio in general I would say is absolutely unsatisfactory.
I would NOT recommend this hotel. Look elsewhere.

It's the second time I've come to this hotel and like the first I left satisfied!!!!
Super honest value for money, excellent food but above all the waitstaff of rare kindness.
I really appreciated the availability and friendliness they showed towards my daughter!!!
Rooms a little dated (like most in Abano) but functional. We had a nice spacious shower in the room which was a very positive note!!!!
Outdoor swimming pool with beautiful garden where you can also sunbathe and enjoy a bit of relaxation!!!
I will definitely come back because there is no two without three 😂

We only stayed 1 night but we had a very good time. The hotel is a 3 star and has an internal swimming pool connected to an external one surrounded by a beautiful garden, not too large but pleasant. The outdoor pool is very nice, with a whirlpool and jets. Maybe a little small if the hotel was full, but in our case it was not crowded and we had a great time. The thermal water was warm and pleasant. We stayed on a full board basis and ate very well: they offer 3 first courses, 3 second courses with side dishes plus dessert and vegetable buffet. A very nice thing is that you can choose on the spot what to eat, because the waiters arrive with the trolley and therefore you can also look at the appearance of the dishes and decide on the spot which one inspires you the most. Good and varied breakfast, with croissants, cakes, bread, cold cuts, yogurt, fruit salad... For coffee, cappuccino etc. there are automatic machines, decent in quality. The rooms are a little dated but spacious, clean and well maintained. The beds were a little firm for our liking. In general the rooms look a little outdated, but they are still clean and well looked after. Perhaps the swimming pools are precisely those that most need a refresh: in some places the mosaic tiles were detached, a coat of white was needed on some blackened external walls. However, I would like to recommend this hotel because it has an excellent quality-price ratio, considering that it is a 3 star. In conclusion we had a good time without spending a fortune and we will gladly return.

Location dated but very clean. Pleasant pool, meeting our expectations. But the note of merit certainly goes to the kindness of all the staff, from the cleaning ladies, to the waiters, to the receptionists. Attentive and impeccable service. Very positive experience, we will return.

Very friendly staff, good food, clean room. Unfortunately the hotel, which has great potential, has remained stuck in bygone eras, and would need a bit of restyling. The swimming pool area is beautiful, but with a few sunbeds always occupied by phantom customers. However, for the Immaculate Conception weekend the prices are competitive, especially for full board

An experience not to be willingly repeated... we were thinking of a relaxing weekend but instead the environment was old and not very suitable for the number of guests I would say... queues to get food from the buffet were quite small and crowded especially at breakfast... there wasn't even space to sit ..
