Best Western Hotel Colaiaco in Anagni

Do not go!

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

First, the service in the rooms was extremely minimal. Towels were barely changed, and overall maintenance was clearly lacking. This hotel is definitely not up to a 4-star standard — it feels more like a 2- star property at best.

The food was good and appreciated. However, we were never officially informed that the tap water was not potable. Instead, guests were expected to purchase large bottles of water for 3 euros each directly from the maître d’hôtel, which felt inappropriate and poorly managed for an establishment claiming to offer higher standards.

The beds were very uncomfortable, with thin, flat pillows that provided little to no support. Getting quality rest was difficult.

The hotel staff, overall, was not very warm or welcoming. The atmosphere often felt cold and overly controlled, especially with small restrictions such as prohibiting guests from playing the piano in the common areas.

The most serious incident happened when two hotel staff members entered my room without knocking, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being placed clearly on my door. They assumed the room was empty because the group had left for the day, but I was inside resting. This breach of privacy was unacceptable and made me feel extremely unsafe.

In short, I would not recommend this hotel for travelers seeking a true 4-star experience, comfortable accommodations, or respectful and attentive service.

The hotel is not worth 4 stars, more like 2 stars. It’s “okay” not worth 90 euro a night. Please note that the hotel is dog friendly but that the owner is not a animal lover. He has a shepherd outside in a cage, in winter, dirty water. For me it’s an absolute shame how the dog is treated. People like this don’t deserve dogs! Think about this before choosing this hotel, because I regret paying money to someone that is like this. A shame!!

We had such a bad experience,had to stay there for two days and let me tell you that the bathroom flush didnt even work,the water was all nasty to the point we couldnt even brush our teeth or do anything else with water.Secondly the phone of the room didnt even work,we gently asked to change the room but they told us it wasnt possible.
Thirdly we could hear every single noise the people of the next room would make.
I wouldn’t recommend going there.
