B&B Hotel Roma Tuscolana San Giovanni

Our stay at Hotel Roma Tuscolana San Giovanni was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean with a decent view. The location near San Giovanni metro station was convenient for exploring Rome. The breakfast was delicious and the staff provided exceptional hospitality throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable visit to Rome.

My recent stay in Rome was an unforgettable experience thanks to the exceptional accommodations provided by the hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the elegant lobby and the warm welcome from the staff.

The room was beautifully decorated, offering both comfort and style. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the design, from the luxurious bedding to the tasteful furnishings.

The hotel's location made it easy to explore the city's attractions, with many of Rome's most famous sights just a short ride away. After a day of sightseeing, I enjoyed returning to the hotel to relax in the inviting atmosphere of the lobby lounge.

Throughout my stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed to make my visit truly memorable. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made me feel like a valued guest from start to finish.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the luxurious accommodations to the outstanding service, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return to Rome and stay at this wonderful hotel again.

The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was alright, but we did have better breakfasts in other hotels during our stay in Italy.
Our biggest complaint was that despite the extremely warm temperatures, they refused to turn on the air conditioning. Their excuse was that they don't turn it on until June. I'm not sure why the calendar dictates whether air conditioning is needed. Shouldn't it be the weather? We heard the same complaint from others so hopefully, they will reconsider their policy.

My friend recommended this hotel so I checked and it looked nice at first sight. And he wasn't wrong. The hotel is nice, rooms are spacious with nice beds, TV and lights.
Breakfast was also nice and neat.
I would recommend it and IMO it is good value for the price we paid.

Had a great time at B&B Tuscolana :) Staff was very friendly and helpful! Rooms are sufficient and clean. At breakfast I would prefer few more healthy options, otherwise great.

The location is really good with 20min by bus to Colosseum and by train to the station close to the Vatican. Anything closer easily costs 3x as much

Travelled from Canada and visited Rome, Florence and Venice. B&B Hotels Roma Tuscolana San Giovanni was by far the best stay. The service at the hotel was impeccable both Roxanna and Julianna were very helpful and professional. The hotel is conveniently located near a Metro station making it easy to get around Rome. The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel breakfast was also excellent. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable and I hope to return one day. Keep up the fine work.

This hotel is good for the price but is a little outdated. Staff were amazing and always helpful. The reception area has great facilities such as chess, a little shop, gym
The location is okay, lots of restaurants near by. About a 45 minute walk to the colosseum but a gorgeous route there! Lots of landmarks on the way. It's a 15 minute walk to a town with a McDonald's, clothes shops and restaurants.

If you are looking for a budget friendly option to see Rome this is the place. The rooms are decently sized, great bathroom, and nice bed, with bed bug proof covers (other cities like Paris and London have had problems so they were proactive and took precautions.) The service staff is so friendly, and you get free breakfast if you stay a certain amount of consecutive nights (we were there for 12), otherwise it's a small fee and worth it. It has a large courtyard to hang out in that's beautiful, well kept, and a good place to rest and grab some pizza and suppli on those nights you don't want to eat out. It IS in a local neighborhood, not next to any tourist sites, but also not far away. It's about .5 mile walk to the metro and about 3-5 stops away from the centers of tourism like Termini, Colloseo, and Circo Massimo stops. Getting a 7 day metro pass is your best bet on travel so you can easily get where you need to go. Rome is not big in that way so innercity travel is easy. We had a small problem when a toilet stopped working completely but they moved us rooms to fix it since the maintenance don't do emergencies in the night (it's an Italy thing). Also be prepared if you want to eat dinner in the many cute restaurants nearby like the trattoria Osti or Papilla you WILL need reservations. This is a fairly recent development during covid and local eateries do require reservations. You WILL get turned away if you don't have one, even if the restaurant is empty, in the local communities. In the tourist trap restaurants that is not the case, but those aren't great places to get the real Roman cuisine anyway. Also there are several day trips you can take from Rome like Orvieto, Bracciano, Casserta, Salerno, Sorrento and more that are an hour or two fast train away so you can make this hotel your base. All in all a good stay and we would recommend them over and over again. When our flights almost got cancelled they were willing to even let us stay one more night, moving things around to accomodate us. Good room, good service, good breakfast, decent location.

However, it's worth noting that the hotel is a bit far from the city center, which, though slightly tiring, did not overshadow the overall positive experience. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Rome.
