Reviews
The housekeeping team was diligent and efficient, ensuring our room was spotless each day.
It was the culinary talents of Chef Silvana that stole the show. As a vegetarian, I was initially unsure about the breakfast options, but Silvana quickly put my mind at ease. Every morning, she greeted me with a warm smile and prepared a delicious and personalized vegetarian breakfast. Her passion and dedication to her craft were evident in every dish. The warmth with which she prepared everything touched my soul. Silvana - I will never forget you. Thank you for making our stay special here.
If you're considering staying here, I highly recommend doing so. But don't forget to say hello to Silvana. She is a true gem and a major reason why our stay was so wonderful.
The front desk staff is wonderful! Very helpful getting my party cabs, restaurant recommendations (all great!) service for a bathroom malfunction etc. Just great. The breakfast served with my trip was also wonderful. The woman at the omelet station was friendly and prepared perfect omelets. All the offerings, cakes, pastries, fruits, meats, cheeses etc were fresh and delicious. The only flaw was in the other breakfast staff.
The woman in charge was very friendly to larger parties but to single patrons almost dismissive. Once she got your room number she was gone. The rest of the staff made us feel like we were in the way! While i was contemplating the fruit selections, a staff young woman tried to squeeze herself past me so she could restock fruit. The small tray she held was not a heavy burden. When I told her to give me a second she looked perturbed. No one on that staff smiled, at all.
That killed the fifth star on my review. Would I return to this hotel? ABSOLUTELY!
Minor downsides were the safe was broken, the shower tray filled with water due to a minor blockage and the air con in the room was quite noisy.
The staff were all brilliant and most spoke English. We tended to eat out, but the one meal I did have was very tasty.
The hotel is around 15 minutes from the train station and 20 to the town centre. There are several restaurants nearby in a lively neighbourhood, which are a 15 minute walk away.
I would definitely recommend.
1. It's noisy, the walls are too thin, you hear everything. I could here loud pops that sounded like poor electrical work.
2. It rained, hard. The windows did not have a proper seal and it completely flooded my room. I went down to speak to the front desk twice and they did absolutely nothing about it.
3. There were bugs in the bathroom.
4. A large layer of dust on all the furniture.
5. When I took a shower the bathroom flooded and water leaked out of the bathroom. The drain was clogged and I only discovered this because the drain cover came off. Went getting out of the shower I slipped because of all the water.
6. They got mine and my friends room mixed up so I got charged more than I should have and the staff at the front desk didn't do their due diligence to understand at all both at check in or check out.
7. At the end of this no apology no mention of compensation or wanting to hear about any of the flooding problems.
8. My friends that I traveled with had to switch rooms because the rain was so bad in their room that the curtain rod came out of the ceiling and their was water in their ceiling lights.
I am more than disappointed. I will never recommend.
Breakfast was very good - selection of Italian pastries, very very good omlette made fresh, good cheeses and meat delicacies.
However, we felt that the hotel is really short in staff. The breakfast was a mess as there have been only 3 waiters for many many guests. The same in their restaurant at dinner. The directiry should hire more personnel.
Breakfast was ok, don’t know if this was due to COVID, but the selection was meager for non packaged food.
