Hotel Palace Bologna Centro

The location is perfect, and the lobby is beautiful. Stuff is mainly friendly (not always, though). The room was outdated but always clean and big enough for two people. The breakfast is nice, but the coffee is a disaster. The coffee machine barely functioned, and it was impossible to drink what this machine produced. The worst was the situation with an elevator — it did not function for a couple of days. We were living on the fourth floor, and it wasn’t very difficult to go up, but can you imagine to make it with a heavy baggage? No assistance was provided. We also witnessed elderly people carrying their baggages. Such a shame. Sound isolation was bad, I was waking up because people talked so loudly. You can find much better options in Bologna for this price.

The young lady at the front desk was friendly and spoke proper English. However, the property itself feels quite dated, with floors and rooms that show noticeable wear. The room had an unpleasant odor, when trying to get fresh air, the loud noise outside from the city center was disruptive. Unfortunately, the bed was not particularly comfortable either. This hotel was arranged for me as part of a business trip, but I would likely choose a different option if booking on my own.

The hotel is in great location and that the big plus. However, the place needs immediately a renovation. Everything in the room was so super old, the bed extremely bad , made awkward noises even with the smallest movement. The mattress and all furniture super old as well. It’s a pity that such an amazing building is not maintained properly. As you can see in the photos it has a creepy overall feeling.

Inside the room did not Air conditioner. Really ? In summer with 38 of weather is very, very hard! The website information is false, they hide this kind of infornation for tourist. I never back to this hotel our stay was 0/100 the experience is the worst. Antonio whose the host is so rude, unpolite and zero customer experience focus. Definitely I am not suggest to stay in this hotel. The weather is better on the street vs the climate in the room. Can you imagine the warm? The building is old, the carpet is dirty, the bathroom is so small and the bed is not comfortable etc, etc, etc.

This hotel is in an amazing location, but it is a fairly bizarre, stuffy, run-down place. The entire hotel is carpeted, with quite a lot of pulls and stains (the carpet in some places is also on the wall?) and the rooms do not have air conditioning. We should have looked this up before we stayed, but it’s definitely worth knowing if you are visiting the city during the summer (particularly in 35 degree heat) as our one night was quite possibly the hottest night’s sleep I’ve ever had. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the hotel in general has the sense of a place that is in desperate need of renovation. It did remind me of the Overlook hotel from The Shining.

Overall - one night should be fine but definitely not if it’s hot. Again, the staff were lovely and the location is brilliant, but it does seem that this place is coasting quite significantly on its fortunate placing.

The hotels location was absolutely amazing and that is pretty much the only positive thing about the stay here. The general feeling of the hotel reminds you of a 80´s horror movie. Dirty carpets everywhere and spiderwebs in the ceiling. Our toilet seat in the room was "crooked" which made it very hard to sit on without almost falling off. Room was about 30 degrees during the night without any A/C to cool it off. One of the days i had the pleasure of a new towel with a blood stain on.

Disgusting and old. Yes, it looks vintage and retro but that is no excuse to let the entire place remain dusty, moldy, with everything smelling nasty. I have a lot of allergies so this place was my worst nightmare. I was only in the room for 5 minutes before I decided to leave. And the lady at the front desk was very rude and didn't want to let me and my girlfriend go even thought everything was paid for already. Do not stay here! I found I much better airbnb for A LOT cheaper and cleaner.
