Hotel Il Guercino, Bologna1 / 24

Bologna, Via Luigi Serra 7 🧭 Map
The room was small, however cute and pleasant, just a lot of dust!! Only two charges ( with one in the bathroom) the third one was broken and pushed into the wall !! ( which was unsafe) The view was AMAZING, but amongst a housing community so be aware that there are children and adults having fun and a laugh ( which was beautiful to see, there was a bird somewhere screaming tho hahah) A super short...
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel before our "Via Degli Dei" hiking trip. We had a great time here. The room was very clean, there was airconditioning, the breakfast was good, the location was perfect (but for some people maybe a little bit too far from the route?!), and we were warmly welcomed and assisted by the staff. We would absolutely recommend this place.
While the hotel was outside Central Bologna, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! First, the owner stayed up late (1 AM) to check me in because my plane was delayed many hours. I very much appreciated this. The room was lovely, and the breakfast was great! Also, an amazing Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant is next door, Trattoria di Via Serra. Central Bologna is accessible through public transportation...
I think everyone who comes to Bologna is a hotel that should definitely be a stay. Small, sympathetic, clean hotel. Employees were very interested. I definitely recommend the breakfast. It was the most beautiful hotel I stayed in Italy in terms of price-performance. Thank you for everything.
A very nice boutique hotel 20 min walk to the center and right next to the station. Nice and quiet neighborhood too. The staff was really friendly
Friendly, helpful staff. 24/7 available and always ready to help. Good facilities and very nice breakfast. Very beautiful design.

Bologna, Via Zamboni 16 🧭 Map
Hotel San Donato in Bologna boasts an excellent location, but my stay was marred by a few unexpected issues. Situated in a convenient spot, the hotel offers easy access to the city’s attractions and amenities. One of the highlights of Hotel San Donato is its spacious and well-maintained parking facility. However, my experience was tarnished when I was unexpectedly charged for parking, as I had not...
Located perfectly for a weekend away in Bologna. The room was clean, staff were friendly and there was a balcony on the top floor that had a great view of Bologna. Would recommend a stay.
Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the roof terrace even on a very cold afternoon in January. Rooms a little dated but added to the charm of the Old Town location
Lovely hotel, exceptionally well located in the heart of the old city but quietly tucked away. Beautifully clean. Fantastic staff, very welcoming and friendly. Roof terrace. Comfortable. Would stay here again. The only slight disappointment was that the bar was closed and not in use but this was mid December.
Pros: the room and bathroom were big. Location is excellent. Cons: the walls are paper-thin, thinnest we've ever encountered in a hotel room. Unfortunately we could hear everything going on in the rooms next to ours, and I am sure they could hear us. Also, the lights were an issue, the bulbs from the bed-side lamp attached to the wall hurt the eyes. In short, the lighting lay-out was not well thought...
My second night in room 212 was outstanding. AC was stronger than I needed. Plenty of space, new flooring and lighting; modern comfortable room. The first night in room 224 was awful. The AC reminded me of a box with a fan inside. Despite having the AC looked at twice, the room never cooled down and sleep eluded me. Room itself was not bad but smaller, older, and darker than 212. It was like two...

Our first time in Bologna, great city by the way, loved it and wished we could have stayed longer! The Hotel Internazionale could not have been better placed to explore the old city and for some great restaurants and bars. Very good rooms with powerful air con and friendly and highly efficient service, we had a small problem with the room safe and it was swapped out in 15 minutes. I would recommend...
Well located, excellent service, lovely room and bathroom. We had a deluxe King room. Location on Independence Ave. that is very busy and noisy especially at rush hour with busses and trucks and cars. Recommend a room high up. There is good shopping and not a long walk to restaurants and the old center of town. Very good choice for us for a city hotel. Reasonable price for excellent room, service...
Recommend this hotel. Having stayed in a few others here I think this is a very practical choice, it’s well located - only a short walk to the old centre. The superior room was exceptionally clean & well equipped with a comfy bed & spacious bathroom. Great for walking to the train station & easy to get a taxi to the airport. The staff were all very friendly & polite. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise...
I stayed here for a few nights with my mum just before Easter. The location is excellent as it’s central and located between the centre and the train station. We found it was a leisurely 15-20 minute walk to the central area of Bologna and a 5-10 minute walk from the train station which also made it convenient for days trips out of Bologna. We found the room to be clean, spacious and comfortable. The...
Really oldschool and not above average. If u r fighting with dust allergies u shouldn’t go here. Breakfast take in the city. ;-)
Considering the pandemic the hotel is great. Both breakfast and dinner is offered in the hotel restaurant.

Great place! We were super happy to stay there for one night with our little daughter. Delicious breakfast, comfortable room, well taken care of. For sure we will remember about this place to repeat in the future 😃
The hotel is a very good choice for your money. It has good amenities for the price. The rooms are clean and the breakfast below average. The only downsize is that is located at the city edge, but is a safe and quiet zone. Also, the station for the 25 bus line is located just in front the hotel, that will take you to Bologna Stazione Centrale train station, about 20 minutes of travel.
My boyfriend and I have been staying at Hotel Imperial for a total of 7 days and we’re extremely satisfied with our stay. We’re mainly really excited about the staff (super helpful, friendly, open and kind) and about the breakfast (many options and fresh every day). The location is amazing: the view is great, busstop right next to the hotel so you can get in the center within 15 minutes for only €...
Exceptionally helpful and friendly service. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was very nice and clear. We recommend breakfast. Meats, cheeses and fruits of the highest quality. Of the several hotels we visited during our stay in Italy, we rate this one as the best! There is no problem with getting to the center. Buses run all the time.
Hotel Imperial in Bologna is located around 10 minutes by car to the airport. There is a bus stop nearby that can take visitors to the city center. The room is clean and convenient enough. The view from the room is amazing. The sunset can be seen in the summer. It serves a hearty breakfast every morning. The check-in and check out process is done in less than 5 minutes.
For the price you pay is worth at least 10 times more! I have use it for 20 years and iam telling you is good! ! ...Ot got everything. ..ah buffet breakfast, you can have all the cappuccini you want 😂😂😂

The location of this hotel is not far away from the entrance to the old town but the price was really nice. The pictures on there websites (booking.com) are not actuall so the room was older and no so pretty but still is was clean and quiet. The bathroom was modern. Kind staffs, good breakfast, and nice modern room.
I comment this a little bit late but I still believe it is one of the best hotels I have visited taking into consideration the quality-price relation. Great place to stay in Bologna. Close to everything in the historical center of town and just a couple of blocks from the train station. The basic room was spacious and well appointed. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good TV, AC, bath with walk in shower. There is also a great breakfast, nice swimming pool and small but good fitness center. Best part was the staff. Always friendly and helpful
Was a very nice staying! Good location! Visited on July, the temperature was 35 C so the swimming pool saved us! Good breakfast! Laundry option! Gym! Swimming pool! Bikes rent! All facilities that we used and were very happy. The only one thing - very difficult to orientate finding the rooms. The rooms we had were dark and not my taste, but they were very clean.
Came last year in September, one of the more unusual hotels I stayed in but pleasant all the same. For the name social, it was thankfully quiet during the night. There appears to be a good vibe throughout, so definitely recommend it for big groups. The price was excellent for the amenities that it offers, the swimming pool was big and well kept. Great start already at the reception desk! Alessandro and Caterina are doing an outstanding job in customer service, incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly. The hotel has a cool vibe, it is a fancy mix of coworking, fitness, pool and bar. Room was modern and clean. Like the design! Will definitely consider to come back on my next trip to Bologna.
We couldn’t choose a better place to stay in Bologna! It has a youth character and design, a lot of facilities (gym, computer hub, table tennis etc) and very helpful and smiling staff. It also has a big indoor parking for 15€/day which is probably the cheapest price in Bologna. It is super clean- they cleaned our room every morning and changed the towels twice during our 4day stay. Good location but a bit dirty and the A/C kept turning off - the staff manually operates the breaker box it seems.
Brilliant budget option in Bologna - however, budget does not mean bad in this case. The room had everything you need and the breakfast was a real surprise (particularly enjoyed the espresso coffee at no extra cost). Thanks Astoria team ❤️
I am really pleased with the overall experience. Very cozy rooms, helpful staff and good continental breakfast. Some rooms are located in a back row, so light sleepers would be nice and fresh in the morning.
Moderate hotel with typical offerings of 3 star in Italy. Location is great, quiet, near to train station but far enough. Typical offerings for breakfast buffet.
Fairly standard three star hotel. Centre of Bologna can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes by foot. Tucked out of the way in a mostly quiet, residential district. Nice pizza restaurant a few minutes walk away. Good breakfasts until 10am weekdays

Average hotel, good room service, clean, a good place for a quick stay
Free parking, which is a rare comodity in Italy. Helpful staff, ok hotel. EDIT: after three years I'm again in this hotel and I can see they updated and renovated the rooms. The staff is helpful. Relatively good prices for a hotel bar. They still offer free parking, and the hotel is located near highway so it's a practical place for stay in tranzit.
Really helpful and friendly staff. Big family room, in fact 2 co-joined rooms. Spa area a little small and just about adequate. Maybe one larger pool would be better than 2 small ones. Especially when the hot spa was not functioning. But good value nonetheless.

Three night stay and would happily return. The rooms are spacious, clean, have a pleasant design. The beds are 180cm wide, sheets are great. Cleaning is of high standard. The staff and rooms were great. The majority of the staff were very personable and approachable even for foreign travellers. The breakfast provided was one of the nicest hotel buffet breakfasts I've had in a while, offering everything from bacon and eggs, to cold cuts and breakfast pastries. It's a little far out from Old Town for tourist trips but perfect for the Bologna Fiere
The hotel is just in an amazing position during the showtime of Cosmoprof. Great position, with great people support. I hope the room will be revamped in the future to increase quality and modernization
Good service, friendly staff. However, my own room in the fifth had some problems with the access card and the ventilation system. In general, it is highly recommended.
The atmosphere is pleasant, business structure, free uncovered and underground paid parking. Clean room, equipped with a comfortable bed, bathroom with large size shower, smart TV. Recommended.🌟
