I recently stayed at B&B Hotel in Como city centre, and the location couldn’t have been better. It was perfectly situated for exploring the city, catching the ferry, and being near the San Giovanni station, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer.
The hotel’s condition was very good considering the price. Both the lobby and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly as well.
Overall, I recommend this hotel to anyone seeking great value in a prime location in Como city centre.

Nice hotel in a very good location (close to the train station, city center and lake). Our room was clean and the breakfasts were delicious. Special thanks to Camilla who welcomed us nicely from the very beginning, helped us many times, answered all our questions about the city and gave us some valuable tips with big smile on her face :)

Awful experience. This is an overpriced hotel that felt like we were staying in a hostel. The room was clean enough, but there were stains all over the walls and the air vent was coming off the wall. But the rooms and service overall were atrocious. When we checked in, we were assigned a ground floor room, which was fine at the time, and we were assured it would be quiet. What they did not tell us is that our room backed up to an alley where people would congregate to smoke, and this would cause our room to smell. So at any given point our room either smelled like cigarettes or marijuana.
Additionally, the air conditioning in our room did not work. When we got into our room, the fan was working but the room temperature was 24. We set the thermostat to 17, but the temperature never fell below 24 and got as high as 27. When we told this to staff, the front desk staff tried to help, and to her credit did her best, but ultimately our concerns were dismissed by management. The front desk staff person even told us that night that her manager even said that "that is what the air conditioning does." We were traveling with a friend, and her room was much colder and felt like a refrigerator!
Between the lack of air conditioning and the terrible smell of the room, which again, was dismissed by management with barely an acknowledgement of our complaint, we had a terrible stay and would never recommend that any of our friends or family stay here when they come to Como. This was our most expensive hotel room during our entire trip to Italy, and I felt like it was a complete waste of money.

I emailed B&B Hotel Como City Center requesting info on its location, train stations/public ferry, restaurants, etc., and Camilla wrote back immediately with guidance and great suggestions. She was warm and welcoming in her email, and even more so when I met her in person! Her colleague, Hash, checked us in and was also super warm and welcoming. Fortunately, for us, our room was ready shortly after we arrived. The housekeeper was also very friendly and nice-they checked on us shortly after we got to the room.
The room was a good size, immaculate and we appreciate being on a higher floor.
The location is a short walk from the historic center and close to Como S. Giovanni train station, making it easy to catch our train to our next destination!
We joined the B&me hotel’s membership program for free, and received a free breakfast the next morning. There were many sweet and savory options to choose from.

This hotel was great, the receptionists were kind and friendly. Very welcoming when I got there and very informative about the hotel and how to get to the rooms.
The room was big and spacious, could fit more than 1 bed in there. Once the door is closed it’s quiet, can barely hear any sounds from the hallway which was nice.
The location of the actual hotel isn’t 5 starts, only purely because it’s 10 minutes from the centre, which isn’t much and is doable, just can’t give 5 as it’s a bit out of the way from things.
I would definitely go again, and hopefully stay longer.

Good, clean basic hotel in a convenient location. We arrived by train at Como San Giovnanni and it was an easy walk (maybe 5-7 minutes) with luggage to the hotel. We later found it is also super convenient to walk to the historic part of Como/the funicular/boats etc.) Easy 15-20 minute walk to everything. The lobby is clean and modern and we like the kiosk that lets you print your own key as ours stopped working. We had two rooms - one single for our adult daughter and a double for us. Both were cozy but clean and overall just fine. Bathroom was good sized and we appreciated having a mini fridge. We found beds comfortable - firm but with a tempurpedic type mattress that made them work for us. The only issue with the rooms is noise. Ours faced the street and it was noisy, even with the windows closed.Our daughter's was quieter but she said a loud noise from a pipe jolted her from her sleep (and she's a deep sleeper). Breakfast is good - terrific by American standards, but perhaps a little less variety than we've seen in European hotels. Still, quite good. Nice coffee machine, selection of eggs, sliced meat and cheese, yogurt and toppings, and lots of pastries. (We especially liked the vegetarian blueberry cake.)
One note: There are a lot of messages about saving energy and I have no problem with that. But they provide 2 plastic water bottles at check in. I'd prefer a water refill station - more eco friendly!
Everyone we talked with was friendly, and overall we were happy with our choice.

Good Quality/Price! Close to the center, the double room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was veeery good although the coffee from the machine was not :(
Unfortunately they do not have a room to store luggage before/after check in/out, so they leave the guest’s luggage in the hall and warn you to not leave important stuff inside… not good at all.
But it is a good place to stay and we liked it overall 🙂

Great location, only ~6 minutes walk from the train station and ~10 mins to the ferry terminal/Lake. Room was very clean and provided all the amenities. Breakfast was great as well and has quite a decent spread. Hotel also provides luggage storage before & after check in/check out. Will definitely stay again! Value for money!!!

Nice little hotel from the B&B chain. My single room was spacious and with a double bed. Modern looking and stylish, but the bathroom could be improved, with visible signs of wear and tear. Water flow and temperature were very good though.
No wardrobe and only a small area for cloth hangers, but sufficient for me as a solo traveller for a few days.
The marble stairs and landing also show the pass of time. Adequate breakfast restaurant with separate area for groups and communal sitting/working areas. Small outlet with basic selection of food and drinks, but enough to get you out of trouble.
The location is pretty good, less than 10 mins walking distance to pedestrianized town centre.
However, it is the staff that made the difference: they were superb!

This hotel is great for a short stopover. The room is nicely renovated as shown in the pictures. The Reception is extremely friendly especially Gabriel. You will be lucky to have him at the reception as he speaks perfect English and very helpful. He explains everything very well too. A big thumbs up to Gabriel as he managed to solve the problem we had during check in that caused by his colleague that assigned us to an occupied room by other guest. Luckily he still could get us an empty room that is not facing to the main street that could be a bit loud. Although the room is made for handicap guests. The breakfast is good. Highly recommend this hotel. The parking can be tricky but there are lots of public parking space around the hotel that sometimes you need to cruise a bit to get a spot. The most annoying part is the loud banging from the housekeeping staff early in the morning.
