Hotel Altieri

This hotel masquerading as 3 stars is far from it. It is more akin to a Bed and Breakfast of 1 star. The coffee they serve has a vile undertone of rotten bananas quite an accomplishment. At €3 euros for half a cup I need not say more. The bed throw has not been washed in god knows how long it was horrendously offensive in its distinct used aroma of the exceptionally horrendous kind. The room was not clean. The shower head kept gravitating to the left and would not hold its position it kept falling to the base of the unit. The bathroom door had been damaged at some point there was a hole in it. The extractor fans do not work. There was a build up of condensation every time you showered. The toilet brush was filthy. Two tiny pieces of tissues upon check in indicative that the floor was not cleaned likely after each departure. Mold on the shower cubicle. Where we still have viruses floating about and hygiene and sanitary conditions are a must this place fails monumentally. I would seriously not recommend this hotel it may well be near the airport but there are similar better hotels not too far from this one. I also doubt the validity of the positive reviews.

Read whole review. Very central hotel in Veneto/Venice. Quite good accommodation. Quite pricy simple breakfast compared to other hotels. Not being allowed food in rooms is weird as with towel service. Mini fridge keeps things warm when turned to max too. Very cheap bars nearby for brekky & drinks though. N.B. Check out is at 1030am, they remind you at 10:20 that you need to bacate the premises otherwise they start charging €25. Very rude but helpful Manager whose very mean to her workers too. Other hotels knew it was our honeymoon & were special, the manager couldn't even say Happy Birthday to me upon hearingmy mother on speaker in Italian.... Your choice, I'll never return!!!

Fake reviews, extremely rude staff, no aircondition in the hotel. If you're looking at this for a sleep over, you're screwed because you can't sleep here. If you're planning to use this as a stay and commute to Venice, you're screwed cz you need a place where you can breathe properly without suffocating yourself. The staff is extremely stupid, kept giving misleading and rude responses when we complaint continuously for 8 hours then had to find another hotel midnight and move out

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL . All the good reviews here are fake. If you want to ruin your trip only then book this property. Manager and hotel staff are rude and scam you. During our stay, we were forced to pay extra for the rooms and then air conditioning was turned off but the hotel, even upon several requests and arguments, they completely ignored and behaved rudely to my family. I was forced to switch to anoint hotel at 1 am in the night.

The location and the room are good! The shower, air conditioning and bedroom door need to be analyzed for improvements. When booking, I asked for a double bed and the bed had two single mattresses, which bothered me during the night.
Hotel staff are great, there was only one incident where the maid wanted to clean the room. And my boyfriend and I didn't want to clean the room that day and she knocked on our door four times and that was really annoying, because we were tired and wanted to rest and we had to leave for her to do the work. The hotel is good, the receptionists treat us very well, but customers should only have the choice whether they want room service or not
