Reviews
minus: after 5 min of showering, the bathroom wet area started leaking water in the dry area, and the dry are did not have a drain.
Hotel staff are great, there was only one incident where the maid wanted to clean the room. And my boyfriend and I didn't want to clean the room that day and she knocked on our door four times and that was really annoying, because we were tired and wanted to rest and we had to leave for her to do the work. The hotel is good, the receptionists treat us very well, but customers should only have the choice whether they want room service or not
Parking area is protected and die free.
They deal with the wonderful staff, especially the manager Susanna, who had a great role in helping us visit the beautiful tourist places.
The bathroom shower wasn't fixed and it wasn't working, but it was okay.
We arrived very late at the hotel and the next day, the cleaning lady simply opened the door without knocking with the intent of cleaning. My luck is that I was awake and close to the door because I wasn't property dressed and our privacy was violated. But this can happen to anyone.
After about 10 minutes, the lady knocks again, we answer and politely decline the cleanup because we just woke up and were too tired. She was speaking Italian and 0 English. No complaints about the language barrier, we showed her to not clean but she was insisting in doing so. We decided to get ready and leave for touristing. She leaves and then she comes again, annoyed, telling us to leave the room so that she could clean. I was in the shower this time. She came once again, I was again getting dressed and half naked, and asked her to stop pushing us around. Not sure what she understood from the situation. We both have worked previously in hotels and we understand that it's an honest and hard job and all, but we never pushed the visitors away just because we wanted to.
We reported the case to reception, reception was nice and apologised and told us that she talked to the staff lady(not quite sure about it).
To our surprise, when we came back to the room at night, we realised that all the hassle was done just for the cleaning lady to clean up our bed! We had food the night before we arrived, and we had just McDonald's packaging. It wasn't taken. No bathroom cleaning. No fresh towels, no cheap soap nor shampoo. Again we know that there's hotels that don't provide fresh clean towels everyday or bathroom shampoo, but we were expecting at least to have the garbage bins cleared.
We paid for the extra towel 2 euros, which was fair enough.
The only thing that was weird is that the door of the room was very inflated(bad wood) and it made it hard for the door to get properly closed.
Besides the cleaning lady situation which led us to be very annoyed and stressed, the stay was decent for the price.
