Mercure Leonardo da Vinci Rome Airport Hotel

Unfortunately the overall experience was horrible.
Apparently shuttles from the hotel to the airport cost EUR6 per person, which significantly decreases the attractiveness of taking a hotel close to the airport, where you can find hotels in the city at the same price. A ride from the hotel to the airport takes 6-10 minutes, leaving twice an hour, sometimes every 40 minutes. This wasn't mentioned in the reservation page.
Also, the room itself was in a bad condition - the minibar was filthy and did not work, the mattress was completely ruined, with the springs barely holding the body weight.
There were cockroaches in the kitchen of the restaurant, and the room that was supposed to be quiet was next to the pool from which you could hear a very loud music.
In the hotel's favor it can be said that the service was very good and the minibar was replaced with a new one in a matter of minutes. Also the room was quite clean in general. The front desk was helpful and polite.

The sofa and carpet were all dirty. The bed sheets looked clean but smelled. Except for the lobby, everything seemed old and in need of repair..

The Cozy Corner Inn offers great value for money. Located few miles away from Leonardo da Vinci International Airport . The room wasn’t too clean as few roaches seen running around however staff providing excellent service. Overall, a solid choice for a budget-friendly stay.

The location of this hotel is perfectly situated just 10 minutes from the airport. Five minutes from late night food. And is very convenient for folks flying out the next morning. The hotel is a bit low scale and getting a good room is a hit or miss. On my most recent trip we stayed at this accommodation twice and our first experience on an upper floor was with a horrible room in terms of cleanliness and quality of the bed. On my second experience just days later we stayed in a room on the first floor, which was very standard and what was to be expected from this hotel. The hotel has a distinct odor recently, which is likely attributed to what I will assume was recent work done painting the hallways with a glossy textured finish, which also made the hotel hallways look lower end. We tend to recommend this hotel very often to our clients flying out the following day. However, with most recent experience and the recent appearance of the hotel, we will unlikely recommend this moving forward for fear that they may end up any bad room.
