Reviews
However, the restaurant is super overpriced, noticed they gave us a different menu compared to the hotel residents which was super frustrating.
We ordered a bottle of Prosecco on the beach twice and they gave us dirty glasses every time. Not acceptable if you pay a top price.
The location is super beautiful but the rest is a rip off.
The restaurant is very nice in terms of view/setting and quality of food.. however it’s really overpriced.
Been there for a wedding and definitely the location was worth the travel from Rome. The sea in front is beautiful and surrounded by hills which makes the view the perfect location for a wedding.
Rooms are quite large and cozy, and the continental breakfast very rich and delicious.
To reach can be a bit challenging, as the road inside the resort is a bit narrow. Also the indication for the rooms should be a bit easier to spot, otherwise you need to check door by door.
In a nutshell: worth the price and definitely something that I would suggest anyway because the experience was pleasant.
Let’s start with the price - $520 per night sets the expectations highfor a luxury experience, or at least a place well maintained.
In fact, other than a great location and somewhat friendly staff, this hotel is a shame.
Rooms: musty and dusty and need to be refurbished pronto. Old , poorly maintained furniture that gave the room a weird scent to the extent it was hard to breath. Light bulbs did not work, and the ones that did had a green-like unappealing light, providing an overall ‘horror-movie’ like vibe.
No sufficient electric outlet either.
Basic equipment is also lacking - like a cattle or cultry.
Cleaning and Beddings: house keeping staff was very pleasant and attentive. Do note that beddings are washed with vinegar and have a distinctive sour smell.
Internet: there are no WiFi and no cellular reception on the rooms. For the price you pay they could have been easily install and extender, but why bother. No signal for most of the TV channels either.
Insects: We didn’t care as much, but there are lots of ants, who even got into our minibar.
Breakfast: breakfast was decent with an elaborative buffet. Water cups are plastic, for some reason.
Restaurant: We didn’t use the restaurant because the prices are an absurd (+$20 for a dish), and we figured it’s not gonna be a high-end staff.
Pool: That was a real disappointment. The pool has great potential but it’s FILTHY and was like this for the entire length of our stay (4 days). It’s full of mold and dead insects.
Also, there’s for some reason no sitting area in the pool - no chairs or beds, nothing. Since I’m 8-months pregnant the pool boy got me a chair from the bar, but it looks like guests aren’t much welcomed in the pool.
Beach: The beach is really close to the rooms, which is a plus. Do note that it is used by external guests also. When we were there, apparently most of the sits were previously booked by external visitors. We had to pull some feasts to get a comfortable spot which was annoying.
Beach’s toilets and showers are in a good condition and were even more inviting than the ones we had in our room.
Weddings/ Events: We stayed during July as there was a noisy event taking place, with barbecue smoke that didn't allow us to open ou windows (lots of smog).
