Excellent service. All the staff were very helpful. Giorgia made us feel extremely welcome. Rooms were very clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help. We liked it so much that we stayed a second time as it is so close to the main train station. Highly recommended!!

the staff were incredible and this was the first hotel where they didn’t make a big deal about wanting to check in early and were very accommodating and friendly, location is excellent as it’s a 5 min walk from the main train station and the metro is very close by as well. Rome was very clean and had good amenities .

Also I left a personnel item behind and they located it promptly and are organising shipping to my home which is fantastic.

We stayed for 3 nights in early October after touring northern Italy. The suite we had was lovely, clean and the bed comfortable. We didn’t take advantage of the pillow menu options as the standard pillows were satisfactory. The breakfast buffet was an extensive selection of options catering to N American, European, and (I believe) mid-Eastern palettes. The check in and check out process was fluid.
We found the hotel well situated: it is around the corner from the opera house and a fabulous rooftop restaurant nearby, a 20-35 min walk (for those able to manage cobblestones) to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum and the Roman Forum ruins. It’s a 7 min walk to the Metro at Piazza Repubblica and to shopping on Via Nazionale. Only 5mins to the Termini rail station.
Our 4-star rating was owing to the breakfast service in the mornings waiting on a cappuccino (minimum 15 minute wait on any of the mornings), a couple of lighting-related maintenance nuisances in the room (when we advised the front desk, it didn’t appear to be noted, but may have been), and TVs that were not working in a manner one might expect.
Generally a good stay, all things considered.

I had a wonderful stay at Starhotels Metropole. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located — you can reach almost everything by walking, which makes it very convenient for exploring Rome. The staff were excellent, always helpful and welcoming. I want to give special thanks to Osama, who was extremely kind, professional, and attentive. He truly made my stay even more comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We were able to check in two hours early and they upgraded our room with a king size bed. The room was incredibly spacious and clean. The staff was so nice from the reception desk to the maintenance staff. The walk from the train station was safe and only 10 minutes (5 of those minutes being trying to get out). Absolutely would recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome.

Highly recommend! Our room faced the internal courtyard and was blissfully quiet, spacious with thoughtful inclusions such as mineral water and coffee maker. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and well appointed, as well very well located in a good area. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.
However the biggest asset for this hotel is the wonderful staff - especially Paola on the front desk who went out of her way to help us navigate a potentially disastrous oversight on our part, thank you so much Paola! Plus on the day of our arrival another gentleman on the the front desk (sadly didn’t take a note of his name) assisted us finding some lost property. After a very long journey to Rome we were very appreciative of their patience willingness to help.

Overall my stay was excellent. Starting business and moving onto pleasure, the hotel met my needs and Daniela, at the front desk, can only be described as exemplary. The rooms were beautiful and the location is great - 5 mins from Termini and 15-20 on foot from the Colosseum. A great spot to meet colleagues or enjoy a stay away. It is now my hotel of choice for Rome.

An Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels

Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy.
Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home.
This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date.
After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel.
It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us.
Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference.
Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter.
Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for.
As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out.
They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise.
Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can.

Best stay in Rome out of many. Oh man. American family living in Italy. Our children were filming in Rome and production booked us this hotel. Highly recommend. It’s not easy to find quiet or a great bed in Rome and this hotel has both. Also big rooms are not common; big clean beautiful rooms, staff exceeds other hotels and will meet your expectations. Great breakfast, location is right next to train station and 15-20 minute walk to any major sight. Room service was great. There’s a pillow menu if you want to change your pillows but we didn’t use it. Really pleased. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were huge and incredibly clean. We enjoyed our courtyard facing room since it was quieter than those that faced the street. The ac worked very well (especially considering it was 90+ degrees Farenheit outside). While it’s not the closest to the major sites, you get much more for your dollar than you would closer to the Colosseum. It’s also an easy 5 minute walk from the center train station, or 20 minute cab or bus from all the main sites. There are tons of great restaurants right on the street including a great place for American breakfast right up the block. Highly recommend!
