We stayed for 1 week at this hotel and was extremely satisfied with the location, beauty of the hotel, breakfast and Peter at the front desk. Amazing service and advice of tours and what to do around town outside of our plans already. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend staying here for anyone. This was our first time in Rome and we are extremely satisfied with our stay here.

Hotel bolivar was a quaint hotel in a very remote area of Rome, located close to all of the Roman attractions. Like the Coliseum, Treivi fountain and other shopping districts. The front desk manager (Peter & Max) was awesome and helped us in transportation both to and from the Airport and to and from our cruise ship and in other parts of Italy, this was one of the best stays overseas we have ever done

We prefer the hotel Bolivar whenever we stay in Rome. Its location is unbeatable in terms of easily reaching attractions by foot. It is right in the heart of it all, yet it also enjoys a privileged location set back off the main streets, which reduces road noise and makes the hotel a peaceful oasis. It’s nice to come back and rest up here after a busy day of exploring the eternal city. Everything is kept spotlessly clean. Yes, the rooms themselves are on the smaller side, particularly from an American perspective, but by western european standards the size is on par, and the rooms are equipped with everything you need. Complimentary wi-fi worked well during our entire weeklong stay. Beds are on the firm side, which I love. Breakfast is good and the self serve coffee machines in the breakfast area in particular are very nice. The ladies who work in the breakfast area are as sweet as can be. The views of church domes from the breakfast area are inspiring. The guys who work the front desk are great and really go out of their way to be helpful. They ordered us a cab which was perfectly sized for our family of 4, but also without having to get a van which would have cost more. He found us the “sweet spot.” I’m also thankful he informed us that it wasn’t worth taking the Leonardo express to FCO in our situation (4 people, 4 checked bags made the economics and time savings of a cab better for us- it’s another story for solo travelers or couples. I should add that the maids were very friendly and great at their jobs, too. This was our second stay here and we plan on returning.

This hotel has a great location, walking distance to many sights, short walk to Trevi, Forum, etc. We rented Lime bikes to move around. We walked to metro close by to get to Airport. Location was my main priority, and I was highly satisfied with it. Rooms are small, bed a bit firm, but clean, well kept and functional. Even though hotel is tucked into a courtyard, it was a bit noisy from city activity. Wifi was great. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choices, although it was same every day, maybe a little rotation would be nice, but the pies were great! Staff was super friendly. Housekeeping was good, fresh towels daily. Bathrooms are renovated, so function well. View from rooftop breakfast is nice, there is an outdoor roof top, unfortunately it is used as a smoking area. Elevator is tiny, but we chose to use stairs. Front desk is also friendly. Even though we prepaid our room, we still had to pay E7.50 per person, daily, per Rome fees, just an fyi. In september weather is mild, so we opened the floor to ceiling doors and enjoyed our Juliet balcony and fresh breeze. I enjoyed it, I think that for the price I paid, I received great value. We walked a lot, never used a Taxi or Metro. If you want great location, this hotel is it. If you want a larger room, to relax and hang out in, this may not be it, but for the price I paid I was highly satisfied.

We stayed for 2 nights, and it’s a really nice location, very close to everything and all within walking distance.

The room is quite small, but it was good enough for the two of us.

Breakfast was okay, and the staff were helpful and polite. However, we did find ants in one of the plums served at breakfast.

We appreciated that we were able to store our luggage after check-out at no extra cost.
The top floor is open to guests and is a nice spot to visit at night.

It wasn’t too noisy for us, we were able to get decent sleep even though it’s close to the road, as it’s tucked behind another building. Overall, I’d say it’s a really great location!

This hotel is so centrally located you can walk to main historical sites. The rooms are clean and front staff is helpful yet one staff member is a little rude. I would stay again however not in the same room over the entrance which was noisy. Rooms are small so travel light Uday who works is fabulous.

When we first arrived we were told they had to love us to their sister hotel because they had no AC and it needed to be repaired. But we returned later in the week and it was better. I was underwhelmed with the facilities. The sister hotel was much better but its location was far. The best part of the Bolivar was its location.

Our fourth visit to this hotel. The staff are so helpful, booking taxis to and from the airport, even lending us a bottle opener and cheerily greeting us every day. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast on the top floor affords great views across the city. We were upgraded to a room with rooftop terrace which was such a good addition to our stay this time. Despite being within walking distance of all the city sights, the hotel is in a quiet square and is very peaceful. We will return!

This hotel is centrally located and within around 10 minutes of many attractions. However the rooms are old and dirty. Decor is outdated and poor use of space. The bedding and vents had so much dust that a thin layer build up on the nightstands each morning. Also the mattress is filthy and had traces of hair on the sheets. Half the time, there was no one behind the reception counter. Breakfast had a decent spread on the top floor with some views.

I stayed at Comfort Hotel Bolivar in Rome last week. The hotel itself is nice, and the room service was truly excellent — the best part of our stay.

However, we had an unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. There was a woman (wearing a red coat — she was the only one dressed like that, so we assumed she might be a supervisor or in a higher position) who was quite rude, both to guests and to her co-workers. When we asked her for help, she didn't understand us, as she did not speak English. This was surprising for a 4-star hotel in the heart of Rome, a major tourist destination.

After she struggled to understand us, she called another staff member — a young Asian girl — who was very polite and fluent in English. She kindly helped to translate what I was trying to communicate. However, the woman in red didn’t seem to care about what was being said, and continued to be dismissive. Later, we noticed she was friendly with her Italian co-workers, but not with foreign guests or foreign staff. We don’t have any personal issue with her, but when guests pay for a 4-star hotel, they expect professional and respectful treatment from all staff.

We are very thankful to the young girl who helped us, even though we didn’t catch her name. She showed great professionalism.

Another disappointing part of the stay was the breakfast. The food quality was very poor — fruits were not washed, and many items were not fresh. Honestly, it wasn’t up to the standard you'd expect, even from a lower-rated hotel.

Overall, while some parts of the experience were positive, a few key issues made our stay less enjoyable than expected.
