The rooms were decent, comfy beds and everything was clean. I was expecting a bit more variety at breakfast, but it wasn’t a big deal for me. The worst part was the service. The staff at the restaurant and front desk weren’t friendly at all. They looked annoyed even when you just walked up to them — and I only asked one question the whole time I was there! The location’s a bit out of the center, but it’s right next to a metro and bus stop, so you can be downtown in about 15 minutes. We paid 42 euros for a taxi to the airport from the stop just around the corner.

So close to the metro, get out of Rome without being far away! Buy a daily pass for 7.5 euro or so and ride straight to the circus Maximus, colosseum etc in just a few minutes. No need to buy tickets in advance for the train, tap your card and go. Hotel is nice, multi lingual staff, amazing breakfast, clean up to date rooms. Good place to stay for home base to explore Rome!

Decent price for Rome, service is overall good. City tax is ridiculous, 90 euro for 2 people for 6 nights. Think about this before you decide to come to Rome!

A very nice 4 star hotel with friendly staff, good value rooms, daily house keeping, 5 mins walk to nearest subway station.

Our family recently hosted an event in EUR, Rome, and booked multiple rooms at Hotel American Palace EUR for our guests. We had family members traveling from all over Italy, including two elderly relatives aged 80 and 90. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring the comfort and well-being of every guest.
All our requests were met with enthusiasm and efficiency. Upon arriving, we found that all reservations were accurate and the rooms were perfectly prepared for our arrival. We utilized the hotel's convenient parking, which, despite its small size, was comfortable and secure. The €15 parking fee was well worth the convenience.
Our families stayed for one or two nights, and the rooms were impeccably clean throughout their stay. The hotel staff demonstrated a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. For example, they thoughtfully assigned my grandmother to a lower floor for easier access, and accommodated my sister's request for a connecting room for her children.
The included breakfast was delicious, and we were delighted to join our family for a modest €10 per person.
Location: The hotel's prime location, just a 3-minute walk from the Laurentina Metro Station, provides effortless access to the Colosseum and downtown Rome within 10 minutes.

1. rooms are tiny, but ok, the ac does not work well, and it does not work at all without a key inserted into a special holder next to the entry door. Make sure you leave a key inserted when you leave the room.
2. breakfast is amazing therefore +1 star to an overall 2 stars review.
3. the hotel is called "American Palace" which to me implies American service and electrical outlets, not at all!!!
The outlets are standard EU, the hotel does not offer adapters. I had to go up the street to buy 5.99 adapter.
4.There is barely AC working anywhere.
5. Lobby Restroom are below ground and you have to take the elevator to reach it. The quality of it is not American standard.
6. We arrived at 2.30 PM with advertised check-in at 3 pm. The hotel is advertised as 4 stars. They did not let me in until exactly 3 pm. This is a first for me. This is not 4 stars and not American service.
I paid apprx $300 per night for the cheapest twin bed room.
7. The bar has a pretty good selection of drinks. Do not expect American hospitality and service.
The very first drink I've got had some one's hair in it. The drink was replaced.
8. The room service is a joke. They came in, made beds with existing sheets (no replacement), made towels from existing dirty ones, did not take dirty glasses and dishes away, did not refill coffee and coffee cups. The only thing they did was they did take out trash.
9. The location is ok - 5 min walking from the metro, but it takes 45 min to reach the center of the city.
The metro kiosks are a joke. Slow, confusing, selectively accepting American credit cards.
10. there is a kiosk across the street with fruits and vegetables, water, wine, and beers.
11. Sound proofing felt good. Room has been quiet. I am not sure about rooms facing the street because my room was facing the yard.
Overall, 3 stars at best.

Located near Laurentina train and bus station. Great breakfast and dining options. Friendly staff. Marco on the coffee machine is a master barista. Excellent reception. Highly recommended

My stay was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. They were extremely helpful. The breakfast was amazing. I would stay again.

Location is great for subway, and the Breakfast is good. General service is OK. Glad they set me up with a taxi the morning I left.
Don't bother going to the restaurant for dinner. You'll wait an hour and a half for a 3 course meal only to be disappointed. The steak was cooked medium well (ordered med rare) and pasta was barely warm. The Heinz ketchup and mayo packets did not look appetizing with my steak and potato chips.
Also crazy fees on electricity. They want to charge you 7.50 euro for base electrical use. I paid as much money for electricity for 2 nights that I do with my roommates for a month of Electricity in the US. Times must be tough in Europe for the electrical bills to be that obscene.
I dont think this was a 4 star hotel experience, but that's based on my 4 star hotels in the UK and US. My Airbnb in Florence was amazing in price and quality compared to this hotel, so I'd stick to airbnb next time I'm in Italy. Ciao!
