Spent 5 nights here in July after an amazing week at a resort in Forio. I was worried Hotel Don Felipe wouldn’t measure up, but wow, was I wrong! The view? Absolutely jaw-dropping. You won’t find a better sight over Cartaromana Bay and Castello Aragonese – waking up to that every day felt like living in a postcard.
The service was fantastic, with the lovely receptionist booking sunbeds for us almost daily. Parking our scooters? Super easy, right outside the hotel!
A big shoutout to the cleaning staff – I’ve never met such cheerful people! There was a bit of a language barrier, but you didn’t need words to see how sweet and kind-hearted they were.
Overall, Hotel Don Felipe made our first trip to Ischia unforgettable. Hope to come back next year and maybe bring some friends!

What an absolute gem of a hotel! It exceeded my expectations and looked exactly the same as the photographs shown when I booked it.
The location and the views are simply stunning and arguably some of the best in the area.
The staff are incredible. So friendly, helpful and kind. Everyone that I encountered here from the owner to the cleaning staff are amazing and always with a welcoming smile. Truly beautiful people who go out of their way to ensure that you have the best stay on the island and at the hotel. They have some great recommendations on things to see, places to go, how to get there and places to eat.
The hotel is flawlessly clean everywhere and it is clear that all of the staff take immense pride in the hotel and their beautiful island.
I highly recommend and I will definitely not hesitate to return.

We had a great stay here. Everything was very nice. Perfect! Clean, stunning view from the hotel's large terrace, great staff. Value for money is maximum.

What a gem we found here!! ❤️ First of all: The location and the view are amazing, could not be better. The castle to the left, the sunrise right in front of you and a beautiful bay to the right. Secondly, the staff is so very friendly and helpful. Feliciana from the reception made the booking and check-in very convenient and always with a smile on her face. The breakfast buffet has a good choice of savory & sweet breakfast options and Alessandro and Martina made every morning better with their helpful and cheerful personalities. We travelled with our dog Rica and she felt very loved and welcomed wherever she went 😉 - super petfriendly place. Also, the hotel is extremely clean thanks to the amazing cleaning ladies whose names I unfortunately forgot. Would come back here anytime, it felt like home! Mille Grazie!!!

Traveled to Ischia with my boyfriend and had the best experience ever staying at Hotel Don Felipe. The Hotel is so beautiful with a magnificent view. Really breathtaking! The staff was super friendly and helpful (specially the bartender). The rooms were really cozy and comfortable, nice breakfast and great location with buses stops just in front of the hotel entrance. I honestly can’t wait to come back. Would definitely recommend staying there :)

Amazing views, but disappointing rooms and service. If you can get a room with a forward facing view it can make up for the small outdated room. Top terrace has a great view with tables, but no outside wine allowed as it has a small bar that is sometimes open. You can bring wine to the lower terrace, but only two tables and an obstructed view. Staff can be helpful at times, but mostly uncaring and callous to foreigners. Area restaurants are way overpriced, so transportation needed to get to reasonable food options. Disappointed with overall experience and would stay elsewhere next time.

If you want a true Ischian getaway, look no further than Don Filipe. We had an incredible time and the staff are extremely friendly. We will certainly visit again!

Stairs, pool, hot / cold breakfast included. Excellent service, kindness. Fridge in room as well as coffee. AC . Perfect location. And the view..outstanding.
There is a short cut to the old town, use it as well as the best Enoteca wine bar, Iscla Vinum. The owners are tremendous.
