Il Fogliano Hotel

Don‘t stay in the hotel on a summer week unless you want to party until 3:00 AM. It is a great location for a summer party and they host some good DJs on the weekends. The whole room structure was vibrating from the bass, leaving us unable to sleep nor even listening to the music. Seems like management cares more about the party than the hotel guests. At least they where kind enough to let us cancel the second night so we could move to a quieter hotel to get some good night sleep.

This hotel is very much under construction.

Nothing functioned properly.

Air conditioning did not work at all.
Desk clerk made several unsuccessful attempts to get it to work.

Shower leaked large amounts of water onto the tile floor creating a dangerous slip hazard.
Desk clerk provided additional towels for us to mop up the room ourselves.

There is no way to turn off the extra bright patio lights. No switch in the room controlled these lights. Desk clerk made 3 attempts. Could not sleep with these bright lights on.

The room safe was broken. When I asked the desk clerk about it, he gave me some batteries.
I asked if he would show me how to operate the safe and he said 'no'.

The hot tubs have not had water in them for a long time.

None of the showers at the beach functioned.

Extremely frustrating to book a premium hotel, then have to sleep in a hot room with a wet floor and bright lights on.

This hotel is beautiful and so well situated. The rooms are gorgeous, well equipped and modern in design.
Having said that.....
We ate in the restaurant and had ants in the bread! Not only that but we got the wrong order 3 times and when it did arrive, the shellfish was from frozen which isn't what I'd expect from a beach front restaurant.
The next night there was extremely loud music until 1am. So much so that the windows in the room on the 3rd floor were shaking. When I called down to reception to ask how long the music would go on for, the phone didn't work so had to call from my mobile. When I finally got through no one spoke English.
Also due to the lake, there are lots of mosquitoes here. Make sure you cover up or use repellent!
