Reviews
We were very pleased with the distance to Termini, the many eating/drinking alternatives around and the convenient distance (walking/public transportation) to the city attractions.
The staff was very attentive and friendly, we had no problems. The rooms were clean and adequate.
Grazie!
- Room was TINY. We couldn't open up our luggage in the room without moving their furniture around.
There were no table in the room. Just a little cabinet thinie about the size of a backpack.
Bathroom was alright. Separate shower and toilet.
There was no air conditioning in the room. It's centralised, and they don't turn it on in a 27-8 deg April. To avoid the stuffy air in the room we were suggested to open up the window. Which was an challenge to open for us non-European travelers.
It would have been tolerable if not for a garbage truck to make loud screeching noises with its compressor late at night, less than 100 meters away from our first floor room.
My recent stay at the Augusta Lucilla Palace Roma was nothing short of delightful. This charming hotel, nestled in a prime location, offered a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and convenience.
The hotel's interior is beautifully decorated, with a classic Italian aesthetic that exudes warmth and sophistication. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's excellent location. It's within walking distance of many of Rome's major attractions, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Trevi Fountain. This made it easy to explore the city at my own pace.
The staff at Augusta Lucilla Palace Roma were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always willing to assist with recommendations for restaurants, attractions, or transportation. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home.
While the hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, there are numerous excellent dining options nearby. The hotel's concierge service can help you make reservations or recommend places to eat based on your preferences.
Overall, my stay at Augusta Lucilla Palace Roma was a wonderful experience. The hotel's combination of comfort, location, and exceptional service made it the perfect base for my trip to Rome. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in the Eternal City.
We arrived on a truly horrible day weather wise, torrential rain bouncing 2 feet off the floor, and were thrilled that it was so close to the train station. We got to the hotel slightly before check in time, but whether out of pity from the rain, or just generally being amazing and polite, we were allowed to go to our room early.
The staff that greeted us were extremely friendly and helpful, and we had told them it was our honeymoon, so they congratulated us too which was lovely.
Our room was extremely clean, well furnished, tidy, and well spaced (especially when you compare it to other hotels in capital cities i.e. London).
Normally, the bed in a hotel room is just a bed. But I have to tell you, these beds are something else! They had remote controls to adjust how you sat or lay, the mattress melted beneath you, and I have never enjoyed a hotel bed so much! The pillows, the quilt, the bed, everything had you wanting to never leave.
30 minutes after arriving, a staff member knocked on our door and delivered a bottle of prosecco as a honeymoon gift which was extremely kind, and very much appreciated.
When we wanted to book activities, the staff were more than helpful with that. Even when we encountered an issue with a tour we booked, they tried their best to help with that also.
This is a fantastic hotel, and should I find myself in Rome again, I will definitely be looking at staying here in the future.
